okay. Fishing was meant to be a patient sport and christ almighty he was not a patient person. Tossing in his fishing rod he soon became bored of waiting for it to be snagged. "Dumb fish. Hurry the fuck up."

Sunny takes a good, long look at the fishing pole she's been given then drops it to her feet. There are better ways to do this. More efficient ways, even. Plucking a pokeball from her side, Sunny tosses it into the air to unleash Muffin.

The Gyarados looms above the pool, a threat to all around him.

"Alright, Muffie. Get down there and grab me the biggest, fattest magikarp you can find!"

Muffin looks at the glistening pool and then dives down, dousing everyone around Sunny in water. He returns, magikarp in mouth. Sunny gets a single look before he eats it.

Cautiously he brought the rod behind his back, ready to swing the line into the water. "Yeah, good to go," the volunteer says lazily. They don't bother looking up from their phone to check his stance, too busy texting a friend about evelyn silph 's latest song.

priam doesn't know how to fish. he never had an opportunity to do so despite having lived in vermillion as a child. he did try to jump on them and grab them with his hands however, but that was different from using a rod.

he waits, a lot of groaning and whining happening in between the waiting, but he eventually gets a bite. he quickly stands up from a sitting position and tugs the line with full force.

Another day, another trip to the Magikarp pool - and why not? He was treating this whole event like a holiday, and he'd like to establish a little routine to balance out the utter madness that was apparently going to define the war between the Houses. That was fun! Rose tossed her first magikarp back into the pool to recover and she gathers up the fishing pole and line. Once more she puts a piece of bait on the hook and tries again.[break][break]

While idly staring out onto the water, she considers the magikarp she just released. Would it bite again, or will it have learned its lesson? Just then, she feels a distinct tug on her line, breaking her free from her thoughts. There's a rush of excitement while she's pulling up the fish, and she wonders if this one will be a pretty pink one, too.[break][break]

olivia dipped her feet in the water and began to hum a tune. it was a sea song, lost to the ages, but the melody had been passed from mother to daughter for generations in her family. perhaps it would aide her still. she was still shaken by the events earlier with the tentacruel and wanted to investigate more, but she had to show face. publicity was important - and what better way than for the mistress of the sea to show up at a fishing contest.

with a tug of her toes, she felt a little nibble and SWOOPED into the water to wrestle with the fish.

He didn’t know how the fuck he’d managed to get one of the rarer ones yesterday.

Lars was pretty certain that it was an Arceus-damned fluke that nobody else had managed to catch that blue Magikarp so far. Blinking as the big-ass paper net was handed to him, he could only stare at the damn thing and wonder what was going through the minds of the Magikarp that were in the pool.

He’d seen several other people whose attempts to catch the shiny golden one end up in vain, although there was someone who did get pretty close… and now he was here to try his luck again.

Just where had this gone off to during the Mantine Surf competition? Honestly, he needed the luck there, but maybe in the long run surfing wasn’t meant to be his thing…

Frowning slightly, he dips the big-ass ‘net’ into the water, cringing as the flimsy paper tried to subdue one random unfortunate Magikarp that had been trying to get away from all the rest.

Yeesh…

Kingsley does whatever it is he's suppose to do with his previous catch, then lines his hook with another worm before he throws it out, aiming to cast it farther this type. The water splashes around it and he returns to humming.

If it wasn't for the smell of fish, this would really be quite nice.

the magikarp is quickly let go just as soon as it was caught. it wasn't as pretty as the other ones he saw people catch. not that he'd keep them either way, but it was just nice to hear that he just didn't get the common ones.

the line goes in the water again, waiting for a bite. it doesn't take long this time as he reels the magikarp that bit his hook quickly.

It took Stormy too long to figure out what to do with her fishing rod. She had never been the fishing type, and so she had never really worried about learning how to prepare it and cast a line and not hook herself with the barbed end.

However, when she did finally organize herself, she felt absolutely relieved and thrilled to have done something all by herself. She had officially realised what was so relaxing about just sitting around waiting for a bite. This was a great way to get a nice tan.
