The fight for territory, for borders, for stake in a place that shouldn't belong to the surface world was all too familiar. This felt just like the conflict on the island of route 105, and felt just as arbitrary as it had then...[break][break]
When a threat came to the region, instead of fighting with each other against the common enemy or serving to find the same goal, the two sides expended more effort against each other while also trying to quell the perils of whatever may come. Was the effort worth it?[break][break]
Scouting through the perimeter of one of the league encampments, Yuina walked carefully with Daikenki beside her, one of his seamitars sheathed at her side. If it could be done, a mapping of beyond the perimeter and the attempt to stake more claim to encroach upon the rocket territory was intended, but engagement was not required...[break][break]
Engagement was not required... but it would be necessary, as always there could never be a passing glance between the two sides. And as Daikenki stopped beside her, sniffing the air, a hiss emanating from behind his fangs, Yuina knew it to be true. One hand resting on the hilt of the seamitar, she glanced around to try and find any indication of what the Samurott may have caught wind of... The stillness of everything was suffocating.

Nearly everything had fallen silent, the moment where a predator had scared away all of the birds and bugs in its hunt, its final target in its sights... Yuina looked around, stepping forward through the grass, was it one of the Paradox Pokemon that roamed the depths?[break][break]
A lumbering roar broke through the silence, through the trees, one that Yuina recognized, turning to find a Blood Moon Ursaluna barreling through the foliage right towards Daikenki. The Samurott barked, drawing out his seamitar, and while he was unable to evade the suddenness of the attack, he tried to meet the bear's strike.[break][break]
Thrust back at the Trailblaze that the bear charged in with, Daikenki hissed through his open maw as he moved to rush forward, leaping into the air with his blade and a surge of rushing water to strike with Razor Shell, locked in melee combat now with the Ursaluna.[break][break]
Yuina took some steps back from the fight, she couldn't get caught in the cross hairs, but she looked around within the trees, she couldn't find anyone, but someone was there...

Seamitar made contact with flesh and fur, swiping against the Ursaluna as Daikenki struck. The Samurott held a hiss behind his fangs, bearing the blade as he took another step back to draw forward another strike. The Ursaluna was quick though, lunging to slash with its powerful and giant paws. Daikneki raised an arm to deflect with his bracer, leaning into the heavy strike, but the force was too great. The Samurott was thrust backwards, gashes gleaming on either side of the shell armor, and so he switched hands with the seamitar he held.[break][break]
On the outside of the battle, Yuina carefully glanced around, trying to find their assailant, when she felt the sudden stick of something latching onto her back, and then a tug. Her hand was already on the hilt of her seamitar, she quickly drew the blade and turned with a wide swing, an attempt to slash through the webbing that attempted to ensnare her.[break][break]
And then a voice, Yuina turned to find her attacker moving forward from the brush and foliage... They fought on the island...?[break]
She was intent as she looked at him, seamitar beared and clutched in her two hands, looking at his face... Why would he show his face now, when he hadn't before? She knew it couldn't possibly be Amor Rose, she'd already encountered him in this place. There was that mint frost that she'd encountered in the tunnels... But that didn't seem right either...[break][break]
"If we were adversaries then, that means we're adversaries now, doesn't it," she returned, the line already drawn.

The only other rocket that she could think of, one that she faced on the island... Yuina grit her teeth together at the phantom pain in her shoulder, remembering that monster... The one that had knocked her out of the air. But... He never regarded her, only spoke one word to her. Surely...[break][break]
He, just like Amor Rose, spoke down to her, that she was not his equal. That she wasn't even a fight. She clutched the seamitar ever tighter in her hands, she hated how worthless they made her, but before she could say anything more Daikenki barked at the Ursaluna lunging towards him again.[break][break]
The Samurott ducked into the shadows using Shadow Sneak, disappearing into the darkness for that moment, but that left Yuina open and unguarded as the Electroweb came at her. The sparkling silk stuck, and where Yuina turned to swipe at it again, she screamed at the electricity that surged through her, her muscles contracting.[break][break]
She was forced to the ground, her motor function to hold onto the seamitar she wielded was gone. The only thing she managed to do was brush against another Pokeball that she had at her belt, a feeble attempt, but an attempt nonetheless. The ball activated, releasing Rasza into the fray just as Daikenki lunged from the shadows below to at the Ursaluna's side, the energy of a Sacred Sword surging from his blade to strike.

The initial contractions and spasms of her muscles subsided as the electricity surged through her and into the ground, causing Yuina to go limp. Her body felt impossibly heavy against the ground like she wouldn't be able to push herself up, and through the haze she could swear her heart was skipping beats. Every muscle was buzzing, her very bones itched like something was crawling beneath her skin, but Yuina finally coughed after what felt like an eternity.[break][break]
Bearing down on the Ursaluna with his blade, Daikenki didn't let up as he had caught the bear off guard in its stumbling. Turning swiftly after landing his Sacred Sword, the Samurott swung again with darkness pulsing along the seamitar, a Ceaseless Edge.[break][break]
Rasza stood, smoke billowing from her open maw as the dragon looked to their opposers. The Ariados relinquished its hold on the webbing that ensnared Yuina and turned its focus to the Charizard, and Rasza hissed as the bug lunged forward, shaking the ground with each scuttling step. Unfurling her wings, Rasza pushed herself into the air while the bug charged, and with an open maw she heaved a searing bout of firey Inferno.[break][break]
The dragon swept her flames across the ground, not only looking to attack the offending spider, but an attempt to create a barrier, however temporary, between Yuina and their attacker. The ranger was only just able to start moving and trying to push herself up off of the ground, gritting her teeth together at the pain she felt in every fiber of her being from the electrocution.

Coming down to strike the Ursaluna again, Daikenki hissed as his blade made contact, huffing a breath as smoke began to fill the area. The bear was furious, lumbering forward with its great weight, and it managed to catch Daikenki in its mass, pinning him to the ground.[break][break]
Daikenki barked and hissed wildly, the weight of the Ursaluna pressing down on him, threatening to break him clean in half, he could hardly breathe. He tried to swipe with his claws, aiming for the bear's face, but its size was too great. Before he was crushed entirely, the Samurott melded into the shadows beneath him again with Shadow Sneak, a feeble attempt to get away.[break][break]
Where Yuina had started to prop herself up against a tree, trying to move quicker than her muscles would allow, she looked out at Rasza'a attack. The heat of the flame began to rise into the area, smoke billowing in having bested the Ariados. Yuina knew the dragon was aware of her flames, she would work to keep things mitigated, they wouldn't cause too much damage...[break][break]
Their assailant released another Pokemon though, one of those creatures from the rifts beyond their world... And in an instant, the entire encompassing area was engulfed in flame, pillars of smoke surging into the air.[break][break]
Rasza hissed at the encroaching flames, and Daikenki came up from the shadows within their small circle that only continued to grow smaller. He was a madman, he could very well kill them both... That couldn't possibly be the intention...[break][break]
Yuina coughed, already struggling to breathe, propping herself up against a tree that had already begun to burn on the other side. She thrust herself forward into Rasza before returning Daikenki, the Samurott had no hope of being able to combat the flames that threatened them. Instead she released Vitus the Blastoise who bellowed, bearing his cannons to begin to tackle the flames.[break][break]
She couldn't let the environment suffer, not when they shouldn't even be here in the first place... It wouldn't be right.

The flames continued, the black smoke filled the air, taking the oxygen with it. Yuina coughed, her eyes burned, she could hardly see through the flames, she didn't know where he was.[break][break]
The crackle of electricity was all she could hear, Vitus bellowing in pain, and Rasza hissed beside her as the dragon wavered, succumbing to the intense power of the crazed ultra beast.[break][break]
A branch fell from the tree beside her, already crackling and burning through, engulfed entirely. The spray of ash and coal seared Yuina's arm as she tried to shield herself, but she couldn't scream through the pain, not without inhaling more smoke. Yuina had to think as quickly as she could...[break][break]
Stumbling still, her muscles and motor function still betraying her from being electrocuted, Yuina returned Rasza and Vitus, and without either larger figure it could have looked as though she was engulfed entirely, her frame disappearing within the flames.[break][break]
From the flames, an enormous, towering figure emerged, over taking the entire area. Flashing in all consuming Mega Evolution, a mega Steelix glowered and roared, exerting its power as the ground shook and trembled, and the flames began to contest its Sandstorm that began to rush through the trees. The sands were furious, violent, whipping in every direction, beginning to smother the burning forest surrounding them.
