The sticky note from Walsh had really annoyed them this morning.[break][break]

Had they really fallen so low? To play around in the make-believe machine when they had things to do? But there it had been, plain as day. Requested by Science to muck about.[break][break]

Chu-e flicked open their phone to check the time, a Skitty staring back from the lock screen. A Grunt was supposed to be here soon; Fennel? Fenelle Miller? Fiddle? They'd only had time to give the file a cursory glance before rushing over. They'd barely given them a chance to arrive ten minutes early! The fuckers![break][break]

The sound of the door sliding open caught their attention, causing them to plaster a friendly smile on their face and put their phone away.[break][break]

There's 6 pokéballs attached to Fenelle's belt, but no pokémon in sight as dee approaches the other Rocket. Dee is actually quite excited to try out this RKS Simulation for the first time, and it actually shows a bit as dee waves at Chu-e Choi, from the briefing report dee's read. While most of der expression is usually neutral, there's a bit of a sparkle in der eyes now as dee waves and bows slightly, but doesn't break eye contact.

Hello! dee greets with a wave again, mouthing the words this time as well, then points at der ears in response to the spoken statement. I'm deaf, dee signs, wondering always if maybe, the other actually knows sign language, too ... otherwise, der hand already reaches out to der phone to type the same phrase dee's just said, and add, in either sign or text, I'm looking forward to do the simulation with you today.

When someone comes in, the picture matches what they briefly glanced over. Blue hair, younger- cool! This was the right person, then the two of them could go and get this RKS stuff done. Bingo bongo, go home and curl up under a pile of cats. Sounded like a great plan to Chu-e.[break][break]

Their greeting goes unanswered... verbally.[break][break]

When Fenelle Miller would see is Chu-e going kind of slack jawed for a moment as they visually buffered. Then an understanding flash in their eyes as they clapped their hands together.[break][break]

There was another pause, Chu-e cocking their head to side in thought, before lifting their hands and quickly bumping the two sides together, their right raising to spread wide in a wave.[break][break]

Hello![break][break]

They pointed at themselves, then did a rolling motion towards their own chest with pointers extended.[break][break]

I sign![break][break]

There is another pause, Chu-e's face scrunching up some. Another point at themselves, then their right hand steppled upward as they 'crawl' up it with their left. That one they don't look so sure about as they do it.

Fenelle stops in der motions for their phone as they see ... that's a strange reaction. It's not like non-signers when they don't understand what dee's been signing, but ... huh. Then, der eyes light up as dee sees the other actually greeting demself in sign, too. This would make things much easier, even if it doesn't come to them as fluently at the moment.

That's great! dee signs back, and then nods understandingly at the comment about being rusty. That's o.k.! I'm happy you know sign. I look forward to working with you today! Der signs are quite excited and fast-paced at first, before dee remembers to slow down, always looking at the other for feedback if dee's understandable or not. If there's problems, we can use our phones ... probably?

Now it's der time to buffer, as dee thinks about if they could use phones during the simulation. But hey, only one way to find out?

Der face light's up and Chu-e hums to themself, pleased. A small clap to match a cat-curl smile.[break][break]

Fenelle Miller signs fast enough that Chu-e can barely keep up. Their own reply is stilted and slow in comparison. They'd need to practice or maybe hit up Cillian Quinn for a few refresher courses. Did Cillian even know they knew sign language? That was a question for later, actually.[break][break]

We will have a good time. After you?[break][break]

Chu-e's own signing and sluggish and slow in response as they tried to remember the movements and wording. But it at least got the point across. Making a sweeping gesture with their arms, Chu-e did a half-bow like they were some gentleman (ha!). The machine only hummed mutely in reply, the sheer white inside almost blinding to look into.
