The Galarian Embassy was a frequent stop for Ameena. She never needed their services and could arrange her own visitations to her home country should she need them - and she only ever did require one annual trip - but it was the only place in Hoenn that made a proper toffee pudding. She had one in her hands as she walked down the steps of the embassy, slowly so as not to injure the egg on her back. She had heard movement made them hatch faster, so she had brought it along for a trip to the embassy for something indulgent. [break][break]

Her gardevoir was merely taking in the sweet scents of flowers. The embassy had flowers adorning its entrance that were native to Galar, though they were closely monitored to prevent anyone from taking them and spreading them over the region. Ameena didn't know how invasive the blue-purple pansies were, but she found herself thinking of home as she watched them shake from the wind. [break][break]

Being able to finish some of her work in the office was a relief. When the diplomat gets out of her office, she sees the staff go out for their lunch breaks. She makes sure to leave some food for her ghosts to eat while Elise takes her bento box with her to eat outside of the embassy building. Only the shard Calyrex accompanies the purple haired woman in her business suit since Charles expresses that he wants to see the native Galarian flowers outside of the building itself.[break][break]

While the pair of ambassador and her hare king feel the fresh air from the front, the royal ambassador is the first to notice a woman just getting out of the embassy’s door and the woman’s Gardevoir taking in the flowers’ scent. “Is everything alright, madam?” That was the first thing she asks after the diplomat takes note of the egg the woman was carrying and the shard of Calyrex leaves the ambassador's side momentarily to admire the flowers. “I was about to go outside and eat my lunch myself after my Pokemon gets to see the flowers here.”

She immediately leans into the pokemon's personal space. She's never seen one like it. "What is this pokemon?" She hadn't even seen it in the RKS simulations, and she had seen some oddities. That little masked green pokemon still bugged her when she thought about it. [break][break]

She straightened up immediately as she felt the egg twitch on her back. Gardevoir loomed closer and put a hand on it as if sensing what was inside, though if the telepath did know anything, she kept quiet about it.

The woman asks about the friend that the ambassador has taken along to the embassy. In a way, the shard of Calyrex is a tool for the real Calyrex that’s allied with the League to see how Elise would show him her leadership skills with royal grace. A task and promise that she wished to fulfill since he bestowed a shard version of himself to her. [break][break]

“Oh, my friend here? This is Charles, he is a Calyrex.” The ambassador answers with a little smile. Many people think that legendary Pokemon wouldn’t consider humans to be friends since they had the status of deities to be worshipped, but to her, the League’s Calyrex had put her trust in her that she considered him a friend. “He helps with the gardening around the embassy when I’m busy.”[break][break]

The diligent hare king ensures that the flowers native to Galar in the garden were cared for when he looks over to their states. To him, the flowers were equally healthy in a way that he shouldn’t check on their growth much.

It's not something she can justify, but she feels rather safe. It could be the ambassador's Galarian accent or the friendly pokemon. And then it occurs to her that she knows who the Galarian ambassador is, and it is none other than a member of the Calcifet family. "Forgive me," she starts, "I could not place you at first, Ms. Calcifet." She wasn't so involved in royal affairs as to know all of the details, but she had taken her visit to Galar not too long ago, and she had heard plenty of public opinion about the Calcifet heirs 'diddling about' in Hoenn. [break][break]

"You must be so busy." She was thankful for no bad blood between Galar and Hoenn, but she knew that her and Remiel being in Hoenn was not necessarily sitting well with the folks back home. Not that Ameena stayed long enough to water her roots, so to speak. "But while you are here, I would love a recommendation for a source on black tea. Even the small shops in Mauville are disappointing."[break][break]

She straightened up a bit as the egg shifted aggressively. "Oi! Do not hatch here," she hissed quietly as she looked back at it.
