Days had passed since their return from the prison and, despite what he tells himself, Greyson still isn't entirely over the ordeal.

Take into account that only days prior—in real time, and not that distrorted mess of Ultra Space he couldn't still wrap his head around—Necrozma's Avatar (Zev Harcourt) had nearly skewered him through, and he was having a rough week.

He found solace in a place he wouldn't expect—Mew.

The Mythical was a bundle of curious energy that rivaled, and even exceeded his Comfeys'. The pair got along well and their tinkling mewing and laughter filled his chest with an emotion he struggled to sort through: Peace.

Nevertheless Greyson makes his way into the League HQ's labs searching for one person in particular. Letting out a soft "ah" once he finds her, Greyson approaches.

Recognition flits across the young Mythical's face and it darts to fly small circles around Palkia's chosen. Greyson smiles at the small Pokémon before lowering it towards Illeana.

"Well enough." He was tired and still mentally reeling from the entire experience, but members of the Elite Four didn't complain about such small things.

"How are you feeling? That must've taken a lot out of Palkia—teleporting everyone, that is.

a faint smile rises at the confirmation that he's okay. she hadn't stopped to check on him afterward, but he's here in one piece and that's enough to quell any mild nerves. mew drifts closer, a welcome sight given the lack of its sunshine temperament in her life as of late. she's come to miss the small pink creature being a constant factor in her life. it looks happy, though, with more friends and more people coming by to play with it.

She didn't know he'd nearly been ran through by obsidian clipped claws but that doesn't stop his emotions from whirlpooling.

"D—" He stammers again, letting his thoughts gather for a second. "—Did you tell anyone? Did I miss the notice?" He'd been in a down spiral around that time—still was, admittedly—so it was entirely possible.

"It's Avatar nearly disemboweled me only days before we were kidnapped. Took me by complete surprise."

He needed to stress the importance of this question with what context he could.

He has to temper down his frustration. Logically, knowing of a Necrozma avatar wouldn't have changed much of anything—naivety led to his near-death experience, not a lack of knowledge itself.

"It happened a day or two before we were taken." He'd spent much of that time in delirious pain. He'd barely had his intestines together before they were swept into an extended prison sentence.

"I'm preparing something on my desk now—especially now that he's revealed himself."

He nods along, mentally waving away her reasoning for not continuing the research. He knew she was busy and, well, it simply wasn't a priority.

"Kind of." He pats his hair down with one hand. "I'm told that Mew has the capability to turn into any Pokémon, but refuses to shift into any Mythical or Legendary Pokémon. I'm curious as to why that might be. Is it psychological or something more?"
