Hours have passed since you first brought in the League official handcuffed across the table from you. [break][break]

From what you've been told, the man is privy to many of the League's confidential military plans. Locations of bases and weapons caches, names of prominent leadership, access to private communication networks - he knows more than his unassuming appearance lets on. [break][break]

It's up to the two of you to extract as much information as you can.

Funny how fate decides to bring people together. After their first meeting, Jill never thought she'd see Fenelle again, especially not after her closing statement. It was nice to see them again though in this training exercise.[break][break]

"Seems like neither of us have died yet," Fenelle signs with a vague grin, which is translated to robotic speech by der Rotom next to them. "I'm looking forward to working with you again."

The task of the day would be interrogation - dee gestures for der Rotom-tablets to position themselves, one behind the prisoner and one next to Fenelle. Dee is surprised that Jill actually leaves it up to dem to take the lead, and ponders ...

Frankly, this particular machination of human interaction isn't der forte. However, dee would not want to disappoint Jill, so ... what would be best to do ... and dee smiles, in fact, with a tone that might suggest warm.

"The upcoming times will be hard. I know you picked your pick before- but maybe you should reconsider ... for your own interests. We want to give you an opportunity here."

While you may feel somewhat exhausted from the hours spent here in this bleak room, the League official in front of you is visibly haggard and shaken up by his untimely kidnapping. He's terrified of what you might do but is putting on a brave face.[break][break]

Still, your actions give him pause. He was expecting something much more overtly aggressive from a Rocket operative. [break][break]

"...Why should I tell you anything?" He asks, hesitant, as he narrows his eyes at the two of you.

Jill studies the man carefully. While on the outside he may be smiling and putting on a brave act, there were clear signs that he was frightened beyond repair. A downward gaze pierces through the official's eyes. He was nothing more than information locked away in a safe for her to open. And she was the best lockpick around.[break][break]

"Because do you honestly think you'll go back to a normal life after this? We know who you are and what will happen whether you comply or not. So save us both the trouble. If safety is your concern, Rocket is known to be quite... hospitable to those who aid us."[break][break]

One of many lies she's told before. Sooner or later they all break. It was only a matter of time until this one does. With the promise of shelter eked into their mind, it was now up to Fenelle to follow up and try to seal the deal.

Fenelle nods in agreement with Jill's words, and shifts to an expression that might be called sympathetic.

"Rocket doesn't forget those who've helped us ... and neither those who've wronged us. You should be very careful when choosing your side ... especially now. Don't you want to live?"

An opportunity that would only be given if he chose correctly here. For now, just like with Jill, it doesn't matter if those words were lies, if the Leaguer might be discarded either way. It only matters if they might be real for now - if there's any chance for hope or salvation, or if every choice is damned and doomed.

For a moment, Fenelle looks at Jill with more interest than the disappointing Leaguer who really could not read the room, or value his life properly. It's always fascinating for dem to see a mask drop, a sudden shift in expression - and here, it's also a sentiment dee shares.

Jill's also quite effective at the threat, making Fenelle simply lean back and look at the Leaguer with a cold, calculating gaze - slightly shifting der head occasionally, as if assessing which parts would hurt the most without killing him. Or how to keep him alive as long as possible, suffering in his life's regrets.

At long last he had given up. With enough force, anyone can be made to submit. Jill begins to retract her knife away from the official's face, not before scraping just a tiny bit of his cheek. A shallow cut as a reminder never to play games with Rocket.[break][break]

She returns her gear to their rightful place and stands behind their prisoner, releasing them from their binds but still holding his arms down in place in case he tries anything.[break][break]

"Good... Let's get you to where you belong now." Her gaze then turns to Fenelle with an affirming nod. "Good job, let's report this to the higher ups and then move onto the next."
