[attr="class","monty"]Montgomery was tasked to run security at the Renaissance fair that weekend in Fortree, with a few other of his fellow Dewford policemen ensuring the safety of the civilians enjoying their time. Threats of war equated heightened protocols, after all.

But that didn't mean that he wasn't able to enjoy the festivities himself. His coworker approached his post, announcing that it was his shift.

Time to enjoy a good ale and some food.

The deputy wandered the fairgrounds, sticking out like a sore thumb amongst the individuals dressed up in medieval attire. Though one person stuck out as much as he did. And while she may not know him, Montgomery certainly knew her.

"Councilwoman Livy. Fancy seein' you here. Enjoyin' ancient times?" He approached the fiery-haired woman, swagger in his stride.

"Deputy Montgomery James."

Two years ago, she would've been jumping at the opportunity to drag Greyson Connors around the Renaissance Fair. Playing D&D had been one of her few hobbies, leaving the opportunity to dress as her half-elf cleric impossible to ignore. For hours she'd be raving about the event, planning out which stalls to check out, or which shows to catch. Even the food would earn itself a special deep dive.

But now? Her enthusiasm had been reduced to politeness.

Strolling through the makeshift village of old, the councilwoman kept her standard outfit, her fiery hair the only key difference from the standard array of wardrobe decisions. Rather than swinging behind her in a braid, her locks were pulled into far more intricate hairstyle. One requiring multiple beads and curls. it perfectly matched the polite smile she offered to Montgomery James when he made his approach.

"Ah, nice to meet you, Deputy," she nodded, "I haven't been here for too long yet, so I'm still scoping out the area."

[attr="class","monty"]The councilwoman's hair was a BRILLIANT red, decorated with beds and pulled back just enough to avoid falling in her face. Despite that, she looked rather... normal.

Montgomery wondered if he should pull his hair in some medieval fashion as well.

"If my schedule's correct, there should be a fencing show starting in the next few minutes across the way. If you're interested in seein' that, we could head that way."

His long arms extended, indicating to a few of the stalls. "There's also some damn good food, if I do say so myself."

Options weren't relaxing. They felt redundant in their familiarity. As though their existence alone rendered the miles of space between Fortree City and Ever Grade useless.
