Suddenly, a sirens ring behind you. For whatever reason, the law is after you. And they are after you on Genesect. They fire TECHNO BLASTS toward you as you jet past cars and augmented passersby.[break][break]

Xuying is only able to mutter so much under his breath, the feeling of riding some unknown Pokémon vastly unfamiliar and alien - 'surprise' is too mild of a feeling that surges through him right now. It makes him want to get off immediately, but such a thing won't be granted if speed is all that they carry - less so if behind them, they seem to be pursued. With 'them', of course, being another Cyclizar rider. It seems that the only way to get off this Pokémon safely is to shake the Genesect guys off as soon as possible ...[break]

With handwaves, Xuying hopes he can signal to the other that he will just follow wherever he might want to go.

Well, this sure was different.

The last time Josh found himself astride a Cyclizar in the RKS simulation, it was in a world before true civilization existed. This time, it was in a world seemingly millennia into the future. "Is this Mute City?" he jeered aloud, watching hovercars fly above him. As he watched the road for a highway entrance, he noticed a familiar face on another Cyclizar. "Oh hey, Xuying!" he greeted the traveling trainer. "Didn't expect to run into you here!"

Noticing the jet seat on his acquaintance's Pokémon, Josh peeked behind him, seeing his own was outfitted with one, as well. "Hold on tight! Floor it, buddy!" he called out, bracing himself for what he felt would be explosive acceleration. Inflating his air sacs, the dragon-type let his body fall onto them, the ride on the futuristic road buttery smooth. After the Pokémon turned onto a highway, a surge of dragonfire came out of the seat's exhaust, propelling Josh and his mount to racing speeds.

In midst your chase, a transport truck crashes and overturns. From its cargo, crate after crate of robotic Pokemon break upon impacting the ground.[break][break]

One robot stands out above the rest. A juggernaut of metal on tank-like treads begins to fire all kinds of attacks from its arsenal, targeting both you and Genesect alike.[break][break]

It's only when he (believes to) hears the voice of a familiar acquaintance that a moment of relief of this exceedingly unfamiliar experience washes over him, though it doesn't last for as long since they are still pursued by a Genesect kind of thing and all that stuff that comes with it. There is simply not enough screams in the world that could fill his lungs at this point, familiarly unfamiliar - unfamiliarly familiar with the kind of pressure that weighs down on his body as they reach speeds that he thought would be impossible. Is that what the future holds? A little shocking, really.[break]

"So, err, can I count on you to have my back-?" he just manages to shout back before things go down very fast, very quickly. He barely has time to process, left alone follow, and is only glad that the Cyclizar he is riding is knowing what to do, following the other through the busy highway with similar - the same motions as disaster unfolds, too.[break]

Coming to an abrupt halt, his legs aren't shaking as much as he thought when he jumps off the Cyclizar, his pride a little scratched from that shaking experience. But as they are now faced with juggernauts that are decidedly unfriendly ... he tries to grab Josh by the arm, running - hiding - running whenever possible, muttering, "we are definitely getting out of here, my friend-" Certainly, he has no fighting skills, but there is a chilling realisation that he definitely does not have it in himself to test whether or not the simulation gave him any battle prowess.
