Lines were drawn after Sootopolis and Petalburg. Clover had missed the battle, caught up in a hospital in Mauville after falling from a serious height and fracturing their arm, so he'd been laid up during the entire thing. It especially sucked given their interest in the Guardian pokemon; he'd missed the appearance of Regirock. Missing the fights also meant they needed to really show up and show out for the aftermath, which left them patrolling regularly around the border of the newly claimed territory. [break][break]

"Do you think we'll see anything, Miss Aurelie?" Clover stuck their hands in their pockets as the two walked the path. Shuckle cruised right alongside him. The weather was pleasant and the path was seemingly clear, though there would be several hideouts or bunkers they could examine along the way. He wasn't sure if he should be looking forward to a fight or hoping they don't see anything. After the extensive training they did with Hitoshi Inoue , it was important to put in the work, but a fight meant wasting resources and also that the League was trying to make a push on their grounds, so... well, they just weren't sure what the ideal outcome was.
