Seven badges. One more for his goal of eight, and then off to the Elite Four he goes. With most of them being traditional battles, he went with something slightly different here, a nontraditional challenge. Together with his Togedemaru. This was the little guy's first gym challenge. And it was't a typical one either. The little spiky guy was next to him, waiting for the teenager to open the door. With one last deep breath, he walked in. Desiree Blooms was the leader. And this was not like a challenge he's done.

Stepping in, the blond went to the lobbiest. "Aaron Toral, here for my challenge." The amber eyed teen's voice was stoic, emotionless. This challenge was an obstacle course. And hopefully Togedemaru's array of moves will be helpful here. especially since he wasn't the most athletic of people. Sure, he wasn't fat by any means, he was rather skinny. But he didn't have hardly any muscle. Granted the training near Mauville helped, but he was still very much the underdog here. After recieving instructions on where to go, off he went with his electric hedgehog...

WELCOME TO THE PSYCHEDELIC CHATEAU, CHALLENGER.[break][break]

The clacking of her boots on the marble rang out louder than the communications device that came seconds before. A new challenger; one that she swore she recognized the name of, but in the end, would require a face to match it. She knew many an Aaron in her life, including one of her cousins- yet, on her walk, she could only recall the one unfortunate enough to be part of her family.[break][break]

”Oh, good,” she sighed a breath of relief after turning the last corner, catching the front desk’s client, ”.. You’re much less wounded than the last time we saw each other, welcome. It’s just great to see you.”[break][break]

An illuminant Glimmora unfurled its petals of crystalline just behind her, giving the idol a temporary look as if she had glowing wings. It was a test of her own to use it today, as she was still quite unfamiliar with this one- as it was more so Diancie’s court jester.[break][break]

”You haven’t run into the bird since that day, have you? Or more devout to Rocket?” she asked, before cutting herself off, ”.. walk and talk with me for a second, the course is a bit of a walk down the grand hallway.”

The lady looked vaguely familiar, though it didn't hit him until she specified the wound. His arm was in a cast, but only his forearm. This was the other lady that was up top, with a Diancie if he remembered right. She was illuminated now by a Glimmora? Was that what it was called. "I've recovered enough to continue my gym challenge." He also trained before the challenge. The blond's amber eyes darkened at the mention of the bird. "No, though it will be the last time it encounters anything. I've stayed away from the Petalburg area to train for this challenge." So no encounters with Team Rocket recently. Far as he knew anyways.

The blond just shrugged and walked, staying silent. His Togedemary following behind. Aaron wore sports shorts, purple sporty shoes, and a light gray T-shirt. He was ready for a more physical related challenge. Hopefully his training will help with this obstacle course.

He was certainly determined, that was for sure; she wondered if his drive to complete the gym challenge drew from the same well as his advancement into the fray at Petalburg, or if it was something different all together. Catching his shrug, she smiled, leading him down the numbered corridors to the last archway remaining on the left side.[break][break]

All while the glowing, pink Glimmora surveyed the capabilities of both him and his Togedemaru while jovially spinning around. ”Training’s never been bad for the soul, it’s what’s given you so many badges, I’m sure,” she hummed during a pause, waving at a Shiinotic making its way deeper into the castle, ”.. and I’m glad to hear you’ve strayed from them. I hope you’ve strayed from the thoughts they often leave, too.”[break][break]

The final push into the forested wonderland, donning the large expanse of the track with just as many colorful paintings and flowers to suit, only took a couple of steps to appear. Nearing an antique bowl, she plucked it from the stand and swirled the solid contents around.[break][break]

”I hope that training has prepared you in more ways than the physical, Aaron,” she clasped her hands, ”.. while we will be racing to the end, the true battle will be our minds facing off against our bodies- against the spores bringing about hallucinations, feelings, visuals our subconscious hides and buries.”[break][break]

Taking a deep breath, she consumed one of the twin capsules from inside the bowl, topping the natural taste with a swig of water.[break][break]
