The air seemed to hum with incredible power. Perhaps it was simply placebo,knowing it’s there and willing to feel it. Eva had done all the reading she could on this Dynergy but the research remained slim. She scowled down at the dark passage, knowing very well that they would soon find themselves lost in a labyrinth deep below the mines know to them thus far.

“Ready for an adventure, Shalin?” she asks with a small smile, glancing right at her partner for the foreseeable future. When prompted, she would descend alongside Shalin into the unknown.

Shalin's hair stood on end as Prower's tails roared like a marine engine, catching up to Eva Morales from Dewford's seas. Once she was in the shallows, she let go of her Shiny Floatzel's back and let her momentum carry her to the shore, where the POWER SPOT was located. "Just about!" she chirped back, reaching for the water-type's Poké Ball and withdrawing him. "Can't go into one of these wells without a flying Pokémon to take you down and back up!"

Though Shalin did not have many Pokémon that could fly, the ones that could were among her closest partners. Clicking the switch on Sandy's Poké Ball, her Sygna Flygon emerged next to her, lowering her wings almost all the way to the ground in anticipation of her trainer wanting to sit on one of them. "Not this time, girl," she shook her head, the Flygon looking disappointed. The two had become so close to one another that she didn't just mind her trainer riding her in such an unusual way; they enjoyed it together. "...Okay, one short run."

The girl straddled the wing, letting Sandy lift her off the ground and onto it as securely as one could possibly be wearing Sygna technology. For a few fleeting seconds, she turned into a green, humming blur, getting the Infinity Energy between them flowing. Despite being hurled up and down too fast to see, the Captain looked ready for more. She slid off the wing and scurried onto the dragon's saddle proper. "Alright, now I'm ready. Let's go!" The green Pokémon would descend alongside the professor, ready to take on whatever awaited them in the Terastal depths below.

You may encounter a paranoid Pierce Creighton, one of Hoenn's Scientists, exploring the caves too. Should you approach him, he does not let you come close. The keenest eye may scry blood splatter on his shoes. Despite his haggard appearance, he bestows supplies should you require them. Otherwise, encounter poor bystanders trapped here, like backpackers or even a feral Megalopolan.[break][break]

Eva shook her head, watching the impressive display of . . . well . . . she didn’t even know what to call that. Regardless, it demonstrated a lovely bond between trainer and pokemon. Trust being the cement that holds it all together.

“Right, flying,” Eva wrinkled her nose and looked down at the abyss again. She couldn’t just jump like she used to. Reluctantly, she extracted a pokeball from her waist and released a Noivern.

The dragon hissed at the strange hum of energy in the air and the sting of the daylight. She only settled when Eva shushed her gently and stroked the course feathering on her neck, “Easy, Nyx. We’ll be out of here soon,” Eva mounted the agitated Noivern. Her slitted pupils narrowed dangerously in the form of the other dragon but Eva spurred her forward and into the darkness on wide wings of teal. The air not only hummed with energy, but now the SUPERSONIC echolocation of the Noivern who would safely guide them past the obstacles until they reached the bottom of the cavern.

The walls bled poison and the thick air tasted putrid. Eva dismounted the Noivern and hesitated to return her to her pokeball. Ultimately, she chose to swap out the Noivern for her Illumina Mr. Mime. The pokemon’s glow lightened up their surroundings and a MISTY TERRAIN bled from its palms. Hopefully, that would help protect them from the putrid air.

The trust between Pokémon and trainer to do what Shalin did was enormous. As she would later find out, without that special Sygna bond, the stresses the vibrations put on her joints would be agonizing. Had she not been used to sonic attacks, Eva Morales ' Noivern would have made her hair stand on end, as well. As the two touched down, Sandy roared her wings one more time to keep the Infinity Energy flowing between them.

The MISTY TERRAIN did only so much to keep both Shalin and her Flygon from coughing; the stench in the air was more dense than at the last Power Spot she had been to. Sandy's wings were constantly humming to try to blow the toxic aroma away, but to no avail; it was simply too widespread to repel. "We go right," the Captain pointed, swearing she could hear something big moving from the left side. Little did she know how quickly Dynergy could accumulate and produce nightmarish beings that threatened to make the invaders leave without a scrap of Dynite Ore to their names...

Even here, TERA CRYSTALS are present. Like a virus, they've spread across the underground. Due to the concentrated dynergy in this place, encounter hallucinations—or hallucinations that become temporarily real by TERA CRYSTALS.[break][break]

And/or encounter a DYNAMAXED/GIGANTAMAXED POKEMON WITH A DYNAMAX SHIELD that must be downed. Regardless, the Pokemon will perish after its transformation. Investigating its carcass will reveal that it has somehow incorporated Dynite Ore onto its body. Though it is no Regi-titan, one may make macabre parallels.[break][break]

Right it is.

And so right they go.

No matter which direction they turn, or route they change to limit the risks, the cave seems to be infected with all manner of dangerous creatures. Eva also takes note of the copious amount of tera crystals littered across the cavern’s floor. Such a terribly high concentration of such dangerous and misunderstood power and energy couldn’t be good for any living being down here.

The Mr. Mime casts a PROTECT as they continue to mine what Dyna Ore they can. Eva feared the longer they stayed down here, the worse the side effects would be.

As frightening as the alien landscape was, Shalin realized how lucky the duo had gotten. As many DYNERGY-infused TERA CRYSTALS as there were, all the horrific threats she remembered being here seemed to be stomping on the other side of the den. They could mine in relative peace. "It ended up being the right choice," Shalin breathed a sigh of relief as the doctor's psychic-type mimed a PROTECTIVE dome around them.

"Any word on Keldeo recently?" Shalin asked Eva as her insectile dragon grappled a large crystal and stretched her wings. "The last time I saw them was in the winter, when the Giant Chasm formed. One day, I'd like to see them again." Any immediate response would be interrupted by a deafening BUG BUZZ, Shalin's Sygna Pokémon using vibration to grind the large crystal into smaller pieces that could easily be harvested.
