She had come out onto the route in search of her favorite flower: the HIGANBANA, otherwise known as the RED SPIDER LILY. Now that winter was dying out and spring was slowly emerging, she figured Hoenn's climate would lend itself nicely to the blossoming of said flower. She wasn't an expert on botany, of course. But the Rimbombee in the area seemed to agree considering they were out in droves today! At least, she hoped that boded well!

Running into the meadow with her Delcatty by her side, Adelaide spun around before collapsing into the grass and on her back. She hadn't seen this much natural splendor since she'd gone hiking in the Fula City valley! It always revitalized her spirit. She took a deep breath and happily sighed, feeling a presence drawing closer to her from nearby. Though she couldn't tell if it was just her Delcatty... or perhaps a curious Ribombee?

Even though he already had Carina, he could only wonder why his own Ribombee was acting so strange.[break][break]

Like she wanted to go to a very specific place… was there something calling her? He could only scratch his head as he followed the minuscule one, wondering where she was headed. Coming down close to Verdanturf astride his Braviary, he then saw why…[break][break]

…it was a literal congregation of the same Pokémon. Like a honey-feeding swarm![break][break]

Wait, was he seeing things? Why were there different-colored Pollen Puffs blowing around? Surprisingly none of them were purple though. Those were the dangerous ones.[break][break]

He wondered if they were drawn to the sunflowers that bloomed high, proud and mighty among the other flowers—their gigantic heads chasing the sun and facing it when it traced its path across the sky.[break][break]

He didn’t know if he was going to get Carina a companion, it was worth a try, right?[break][break]

Shrugging, he took aim and threw a Pokéball into the mess.[break][break]

Ruby was absolutely at peace, sitting amongst the flowers and watching the Ribombees and Cutieflys fluttery about at work. It was so relaxing, even Whisper seemed at peace just standing beside her and looking around herself. It was nice and quiet, the wind blowing through the grass being the only noise around, asides from the occasional quiet cry of one of the aforementioned Pokemon. It reminded her almost of home for a while, just sitting beneath the threes and watching the Cherry Blossoms sway in the breeze. Their petals were always such a beautiful sight. Why it almost felt like it was yesterday...

Ruby suddenly woke up with a start, from her accidental nap with the realization that something Pink was sitting on her nose, looking down at her. Ruby opened her eyes, blinking at the sight. It was a pink Ribombee, curious about Ruby. It was such a beautiful creature, and Ruby couldn't help but instinctively move to try and grab a Pokeball and attempt to capture it. Hopefully quickly, considering the intense glare Whisper was giving the shiny Pokemon, hand slowly raising as if to swat them like a fly.

If Money Can't Buy Happiness...

Jesse found herself sitting in the grass, glad to be wearing shorts so grass stains won't be too noticeble. Why she was sitting directly on the grass was a bit stupid, but really no one was looking anywhere near her, so she could do something weird. So she continued picking Gaillardias, or Blanket flowers as their less fancy name. And ripping off the petals to throw for her Meowth to leap at and catch.

Despite this treatment though, she loved these flowers, weirdly enough. Looked fancy, looked like a flower she'd plant literally everywhere if she had a place, and ripping plants apart when she was little and in between cities was a normal thing for her. These flowers though, were a type she loved finding, being so red, even if they would meet the same fate. So even now she had the habit, and she didn't feel like changing that.

She threw another petal, but her Meowth was distracted, staring at the flower bed itself. "Candy, don't space out on me..." However she planned to continue was interrupted as the Meowth leapt, landing square on a hidden Ribombee. "What the hell Candy, nice one!" She dug through her pockets quickly for a Pokeball and threw, hoping the Ribombee wouldn't break free from her admittedly small Meowth.

Not far from here, from this canvas of fields freshly painted with new blooms, Verdanturf had burned. [break][break]

Persephone idly wonders if she always felt so disconnected from the land itself. She thinks it used to breathe, that it had a heartbeat. [break][break]

Glancing around at the flowers, she wonders if the shift came from inside. Maybe Mossdeep rearranged her bones and rewrote some inalienable natural law. [break][break]

It's too bright here; among the fields of flowers and with the sun's burgeoning warmth foreign on her skin. Awash in a sea of colour, Persephone feels more than ever akin to the skeleton flower, ephemeral and very temporary. [break][break]

A family of Ribombee slowly hover over the fields, and Persephone throws out an empty capsule to remember what it's like to be a trainer. [break][break]

Josh couldn't help but smile at the sight before him. The flowers were in bloom, and the Cutiefly and Ribombee were out. It seemed that with the weather beginning to warm up, it was that time of year again. He just stared out at those before him, happy to take in the sights and the sounds. He had to watch his feet though, cautious as he lifted his foot to avoid stepping on a Forget-Me-Not that had almost become the casualty of his large, tall frame.

Josh held out a hand, allowing for a Cutiefly to land on it for a moment, mistaking it for a flower. Josh chuckled slightly when the small Pokemon realized it wasn't dealing with a flower, and would promptly fly away in order to look for more.

the roses were blooming pretty nice today. hopefully that was some kind of valentines day miracle, even if the holiday was sort of over it was sstill nice to see flowers like this bloom. it was also nice seeing all the little fairies dance around the rose bushes and enjoying their time. their focus on their festivities was just the distraction that kaz needed to prep his pokeball and lob it into the wild bunch of them. he had to hit something like that right?

the flowers bow over as his eevee makes its way through the field, a soft sparkle of silver amongst the hydrangeas. "careful," comes his mild warning.
