WHAT WAS ONCE a place of sacrificial worship now becomes a catacomb of an extinct civilization. Their history is a legacy shed on blood and their last line of defense is to weaponize their culture against would be invaders. The structural integrity of the main chamber rumbles as its walls become undone, upheaved into projectiles that now look to squash and flatten anyone that dares makes it past the now defunct barrier. [break][break][break]
[break][break]
Charge forward. Hide. Team work. Selfishness. None of these choice are inherently wrong. What matters is the execution and results of their choices. [break][break]
Kazimir Wynter's Solrock is nothing short of a pebble compared to the size of the boulder looking to crush it into dust. Try as it might, the
COSMIC POWER can only provide so much. Fortifying its own defenses does nothing to slow or reduce the impact of the attack. When one of the boulders connect the Solrock struggles for a split second before being bulldozed straight into one of the cavern's walls. It
FAINTS but at least its alive. It looks like the
COSMIC POWER really did allow it to withstand the attack. [break][break]
Lucas Lane does not fair much better. His decision to edge the Lycanroc on results in an extended exploration that lasts the span of several seconds. The floating rocks are so useless against the incoming attack that the
STONE EDGE might as well be blunt. Usually, fortune favors the bold but it looks like his luck has ran out. Thankfully, the Pokemon manages to evade being outright flattened. Instead, it's tossed like a rag doll from the impact, immediately
KNOCKED OUT. [break][break]
Cillian Quinn's Steelix buries itself and dodges the attack entirely. The
TRICK ROOM makes it fast enough to escape unscathed. To no surprise, the ground seems loose enough to dig straight forward without having to resurface. However, the Steelix can feel the
whole corridor quiver as it continues to displace dirt. [break][break]
The time it takes for @ken's Elgyem to bolster its defenses allows
Cillian Quinn's Steelix to provide the psychic Pokemon an escape route. Unfortunately, the attack waits for neither and the Elgyem proves too slow. One of the falling boulders lands atop of it and pins the Pokemon, crushing the Pokemon's body and limbs. Only its big brain remains but that won't last for long. The sheer damage of the attack renders it
unable to move or use its psychic power. If someone does not free the Pokemon and render aid
by giving up their actions next round the Pokemon will surely
perish. [break][break]
For the most part,
kyle lopez's Delphox is in the same situation as
Lucas Lane's Lycanroc. The difference between them is the options they can fall back on due to their techniques and attacks. The psychic powers of
PSYSHOCK provide a little more breathing room than
STONE EDGE which allows the Pokemon to address any incoming attacks by diverting their trajectory with a burst of psychic energy. Delphox's efforts allows it to escape the brunt of the attacks but it comes out both exhausted from its exertion and damaged by the shards and debris that grazed it. [break][break]
Ruby Walker's Oranguru exudes caution and its reliance on
FUTURE SIGHT allows it to peer into the future while the Regirock attacks rather than after. It looks for a safe zone and the future reveals there are none. The attack proves too massive and encompassing for it to evade so it'll have to settle for where it'll take the least damage. [break][break]
The vision continues and what it sees is the tunnel suddenly turning into a bright light for a split second before everything goes black. And just like that, the Oranguru is snapped back into reality, the
FUTURE SIGHT ending on its own accord rather than the Pokemon's. An uneasy feeling comes with the premonition, one that it has
never felt before. [break][break]
The largest of boulders don't give the Oranguru the time to think about its revelation. The Pokemon has to focus on slipping between them, pelted by the smaller and more manageable ones in the process, but evading the same fate as those that get hit head-on. [break][break]
Unfortunately, there isn't time for
Kaida Adachi's Onix to use
CURSE again. Even if the Oranguru
INSTRUCTS it to, the Onix takes off the
moment it completes its preparation. [break][break]
The Onix proves faster than it's ever been but that speed does not allow it to weave through the tight-knit river of incoming boulders. Swimming upstream proves difficult and multiple rocks end up colliding against the Pokemon's massive frame despite the assistance of
Annie Mei's Excadrill. [break][break]
Annie's Excadrill finds a first class seat atop the rock snake's head and together they cleave through anything that comes their way. The mole's sharp
METAL CLAW allows it to break apart some of the larger rocks, smashing them into smaller and less dangerous debris. Several shards also make it past the Exadrill's efforts, grazing it numerous times across its body. That being said, their combined team work makes it obvious that both end up fairing much better than if they had proceeded alone. Together, they make the most progress out of the group and continue forward. [break][break]
Behind them, the Oranguru attempts to reach out to the Regirock through
TELEPATHY and convey its intent and inner thoughts. Miraculously, a connection is made with the Legendary Pokemon and the blaring sound of its speaking erupts within the Oranguru's mind. It's
deafening. [break][break][break]

As the remaining Pokemon continue down the tunnel and toward the main chamber, they'll notice the Regirock continue to attack with another round of
ANCIENT POWER. This time, the rocks stop near the mouth of the chamber to create a wall to prevent them from entering. [break][break]
The opening is shut off by numerous large boulders and the party no longer has vision of Regirock. What they do notice is the sound of static emanating from the chamber, growing
louder by the second, and dim rays of light leaking through the small cracks that line where the boulders connect in the new rock wall. [break][break]
@ken's Elgyem remains pinned underneath a large rock and is slowly dying. Anyone who progressed forward will have to turn around and
LOSE THEIR PROGRESS FORWARD to render aid. [break][break]
