It takes a lot for her to get the heebie jeebies, and this forest does just that. The Glumwood is dark and full of terrors, it seems. Every step she takes she swears she can feel eyes on her, or footsteps treading in the dewy ones she's just left behind. [break][break]

She's being followed.[break][break]

Stormy brandishes her wand as she whirls on whoever or whatever is following her. The tip of it ignites in the beginning of a fire spell, her eyes blazing with terrifying intensity.[break][break]

He sends her a party invite but never allows the end of his gun to point away from her. Just because they've hunted before doesn't mean he won't send her straight back to spawn. His experience is way too precious to lose at this point in the game.

It takes a moment to recognise the face behind the shadow. When the shadowy form hits the ground, gun pointed back up to her face and followed by the same impulse party-invite, she relaxes.[break][break]

"Oh. It's you."[break][break]

Her wand retreats and she takes a step back, catching her breath. She straightens her back and looks away, probably a little embarrassed.[break][break]

Fernando asks her a question and she takes her time responding, perhaps due to the rapid thud of her heart.[break][break]

"Rare shit, y'know. Same old, same old."[break][break]

And then she's forced to duck for real as twin SHADOW BALLS are hurled in their direction. Stormy's hand reaches for Fernando's shoulder to help him dodge, though she isn't sure why she'd felt the impulse to protect him.[break][break]

In response, the tip of her wand breathes a MYSTICAL FIRE as she quickly chants her spell. It explodes on contact with one of the Misdreavus, causing the Pokemon to explode like slime.

Her push displaces him enough to evade the pair of SHADOW BALLS. Without her action, the attacks would have landed a clean hit. Why? Because Fernando makes no move to dodge them. Rather than spend his time preventing damage he prepares to inflicts his own. As long as his attacks are off cooldown then he only aligns himself for one task: kill.

A ZAP CANNON pierces the fog and lights up the dim forest as it nails the first Misdreavus. A second one comes and marks the second. Stormy's MYSTICAL FIRE eliminates the first one and Fernando flicks his pistol to swap ammo types. The CHATTER proves sufficient in cleaning what's left.

The pair manage to dodge the mobs attacks thanks to her quick thinking, not that Fernando seemed at all concerned. He instead remains stoically infuriating as he blasts the second Misdreavus with his own attacks. As soon as the pair of spawns die, the forest is silent for a few seconds more.[break][break]

Stormy had learned to be quick on her feet and to avoid taking as much damage as possible due to her class. She wasn't a tank, she couldn't handle the repeated abuse. Her best chance of survival was the nuke her opponents before they even had a chance to shoot first.[break][break]

The woman brushes debris off of her shoulder as the next spawn arrives. Two Yamask this time. [break][break]

She makes a sudden move, feigning an attack. It encourages the regularly coloured one to throw up a PROTECTIVE barrier. Unfortunately it fizzles out immediately since Stormy hadn't actually attacked. She takes the opportunity to then actually blast it with another dose of MYSTICAL FIRE. The second PROTECT fails and the Yamask explodes.[break][break]

Fernando's strategy is the complete opposite of Stormy's. While she show tact in baiting the PROTECT, Fernando disregards the move entirely and continues to spam his attacks until one of them lands. As long as the Yanmask continues to use PROTECT, it cannot retaliate. And should it decide to attack, it'll expose itself to his attacks.

It takes him a bit longer than Stormy but that's to be expected. He still handles his own mob with the same resolution: without taking damage. The loot drops and Fernando looks over it as well. Interesting.

She makes a bored popping noise from her mouth at his response. So clearly he hadn't found anything good either. Thankfully, she's quick to put her loot into her virtual inventory quickly, before the last spawns arrive. Two Mismagius, bigger and badder than the Misdreavus from the start.[break][break]

Fernando's the silent type which makes it difficult for her to keep conversation, but to be fair, what is there to talk about when there's monsters to kill and loot to collect?[break][break]

Stormy conjures two spells in rapid succession, first unleashing a FREEZE-DRY to chill the Magius on the left before burning it to a crisp right after with MYSTICAL FIRE. The cold and then super hot combo would hopefully really suck ass.[break][break]

She glances at Fernando then, even offering him a smile.

[attr="class","spiral"] And, to no surprise, Fernando maintains his simple combination of ZAP CANNON into CHATTER with AIR SLASH to finish it off. Even evolved, the Mismagius has no chance. The experience gain is a pittance but the loot proves adequate. Nothing too great but that's to be expected. The last thing he needs is for everyone to be on an even ground without spending the same amount of time and effort that he has.

"Shit. Ain't nothing good again. Goddamn."

He looks at his loot and frowns before turning back to Stormy. "Appreciate help, I guess." A DM from kyle lopez slips into his notifications and he turns to leave. ""See ya around."
