'...But a pink sky in the morning is a sailor's warning.' One of those old wive's tales or such from back home, Adrian recollected as he perched upon a red Gyarados gliding over the water's surface, chasing after a rising pink sun stretching up from the horizon as he headed Eastbound.

Adrian couldn't help but feel a little superstitious, given how everything was going lately, and although he'd come out here hoping to find trouble... being isolated in the middle of the sea, now that was enough to leave him unsettled. Not even Furor's hulking presence was enough to completely assure him of any relative safety.

The diving gear left over from a rescue mission with Kyle Lopez clung against him in a skin tight caress, so that at the very least he wasn't shivering from the water's cool touch as it rushed past his legs. "Just keep a sharp eye out, Furor..."

"Starting to feel superstitious indeed..." A murkrow kawed overhead before landing on the crest of Furor's forehead, annoying the Atrocious pokemon, prompting it to writhe in a meager attempt to dislodge or deter the bird. But instead it clung fast to its perch, pecking at the crest relentlessly, tormenting Adrian's Gyarados. It couldn't even protect itself from its pranks...

"Furor, Waterfall." It rushed forward, halfway submersed in the water as the waves rippled over its figure, catching Murkrow in the riptide as Adrian and Furor sped along, leaving the bird to drift along unto the deeps below. Brr-rrr-rrr..!

Although a wet suit clung to his figure, his face had been vulnerable to the violent sea spray, leaving him sullied and somewhat frigid. "Head to land."

Furor seemed to be in an obliging mood as their course careened towards a small sheer cliff rock large enough for a few people to sit upon.

Uncomfortably...

With the nagging, tormenting Murkrow long behind them, Adrian and Furor were able to reach the rock unaccosted by the sea's many denizens, the serpent's figure rising out of the water for its trainer to dismount from their spot nestled between the scales of its neck. The sheer rock surface was smoothed and slick, though he was able to find some level of comfort. "Check around for anything; can't be caught off guard..."

Gyarados dove beneath water's edge into the aquamarine depths below, slit pupils narrowed as it scoured the abyss for signs of movement.
But there was nothing. Nothing but a deep resonating sound piercing the currents with its wailing. Furor homed in on its source, eventually coming across a Wailmer by its lonesome.

In a single lunge Furor's figure came soaring out of the water with an uproar, agape jaws loosing a shrieking cry before its descent jetted it downwards, assailing the Wailmer below as it surged through the undertow unabated. "Graah!"

Its hulking head rose halfway from the water preceded by chunks of the Wailmer it had thrashed apart in that decisive blow. "So... we're good?"

Sitting awhile on the rocky outcropping in the middle of nowhere, rummaging through his back satchel to find his phone, he brandished its lens towards the sunrise. While he sat there taking pictures, a Cramorant happened upon them, swooping after the glinting trinket he'd been holding aloft in the air for a better angle. "Hey!"

With the bird nearly absconding with his phone (which was too expensive to end up as bird feed,) Adrian was quickly forced to snag at a pokeball before the bird could swing around for another go at his possessions. Let's see how you like this, he mused while hurling a pokeball into the air to intercept its diving course. And yet it snatched it up, thinking to swallow it down its gullet. But the sphere grew, and then it swelled up again to distend the bird's gaping maw, a shiny Voltorb's face leering from inside its fleshy embrace.

"Ohm, Discharge!"

He'd never seen a pokemon drop so fast...
