As they're aimlessly wandering about on this little jaunt, a Gastly makes easy prey of them, getting up to no good with its usual hi-jinks while Adrian is caught unawares. It fades into color before his eyes with a lopsided tongue hanging out a toothy grin, laughing at him in a permeating voice...

Its tongue flailed dangerously close, and he was forced to duck away in a dumbstruck daze, narrowly avoiding its paralyzing lick. "Magne-"

Even as he'd mustered the words, the magnets along its body pointed inwards towards one another, generating a brilliant steely glint in the epicenter of this concentrated power. With a shuddering blur the power rocketed forth towards the Gastly, somehow finding purchase against it.

With the pokemon properly repelled he continued on his way, passing through some trees to see if there wasn't a pond or such on the other side of the treeline he was presently heading towards.

After crossing the clump of trees and finding nothing to the extent of a pond or stream, he'd continue on through the thicket until arriving at the other side, where he could finally begin to hear the gurgle of moving water through a nearby brook.

It was as good a start as any, and so he began to follow it upstream, hoping to find the larger source. And with any luck... Adrian crossed his fingers.

It so happened that lady luck was on his side, and when he reached that larger source of water flowing through the safari, he caught a glimpse of his quarry, Tentacool. In a flurry Adrian pointed it out for Magneton, as if it wasn't obvious enough: "MAgneton, Lock-On," he'd say hurriedly, and it seemed to respond as it whirred closer, its eyes fixating on the shadow moving beneath the water's edge. It erupted from the depths as a surge of sludge however, though Magneton hardly seemed bothered. "Now use Zap Cannon!" And so it did.

Within moment a docile Tentacool washed up to the surface, trembling or perhaps suffering from lingering contractions from the shock treatment.

Better get it in a pokeball quickly...

After securing the Tentacool in a pokeball, they were able to continue on their journey at a more leisurely place. Instead of scouring the fields or streams, he was able to slow down and smell the flowers. At least for a while until he felt a chill.

Turning around he saw a rather out-of-place pokemon struggling to withstand the summer heat, walking around with a sort of teetering gait.

You seem like you're not enjoying the summer...

With his pallid complexion, he could relate.

He'd of course resolve to capture it, only learning through a short skirmish that the wobbling was the result of its exaggerated skull cube, which was apparently not its actual head, but an effigy containing the much smaller cranial structure beneath. But Eiscue was his now after all was said and done, so he'd continue down a path deeper into the wooded areas of the safari, away from the open pastures and into the thicket and brambles.

When he so happened to stumble into the most secluded enclave of the safari's forested zones, Adrian came across a most fabled species of pokemon, Dratini. Woah... I don't think I've ever seen a Dratini in person before... Notoriously rare, and even harder to train to their full potential, these pokemon were held in high esteem by competitive trainers. He had to have one...

Fighting one seemed cruel however, so he stalked after it, though he swore it noticed him shuffling behind it a few times. Despite this, it was possible for Adrian to catch up to it, close enough to toss a pokeball at it. And just like that, he'd hurled it.

If he was reading into the situation correctly at all, it'd seemed to him it wanted to be captured, and thusly surrendered to the first safar ball thrown.
