Tonks sparked enthusiasm and cheers from the crowd nearby when he filled the air with the sound of his BELLY DRUM, waiting alongside his trainer for the starting bell to ring. Silver scales glinted brilliantly in the summer sunlight. Pieces of them even shed, descending towards the sand below like glittering stars. Just as the bipedal dragon shifted his clawed feet into the beach in preparation, the bell rung and he was off.

The first obstacle in his way were several stacks of thick hay. Using nothing more than the sheer force of his momentum, Tonks intended to crash through it, giving Remy easy access to the other side after. Team Refemaru's challenge had begun.

Fernando's the second spot in their four man relay. His much smaller Marill is in the perfect spot to squeeze underneath Silph contractor R-1, skidding forward, bouncing against its stomach in an unorthodox BELLY DRUM, and being torpedoes from underneath the Kommo-o's legs and into a pile of loose boulders.

The momentum of Remiel's Kommo-o breaks through their first obstacle and Fernando's immediate follow up allows for the Pokemon to regather itself without having to lose speed in order to barrel through the next one. Considering the sudden shift in size, it's the perfect opportunity for their third leg to go back to relying on something bulkier.

Team names were silly. Very, very silly. Of course, she couldn't help but simply chuckle as she thought up a few. The most obvious thought was the Belly Drummers, but that also just sounded completely silly.

Regardless, Ruby was stretching as she stood next to her Chesnaught as it prepared for the challenge ahead. Slamming its fists down onto its armored stomach with the move Belly Drum, Cherry's excitement was through the roof.

As soon as they could begin, the pair charged forwards. Ruby jumped up onto his back as they slammed through a giant wooden obstacle. Even she had to admit, sometimes breaking things was fun too.

[attr="class","marcelThread"]like its teammates, marcel's kommo-o joins in with its own BELLY DRUM. their beat is not entirely in time with one enough, just shy enough of cacophonous as to not be too unpleasant on the ears. marcel focuses on stretching, and chasing away the last of his inebriation.

they work out a pattern, effective enough. his kommo-o's swinging punch comes at the fourth obstacle. for the first time since arriving, he looks around at his teammates and wonders how on earth he got here.

Fernando's Marill was certainly a surprise. It dwarfed in comparison to the armored giants that made up the rest of the pokémon team. It was clear the son of Silph was a rather unconventional man in certain aspects. Remiel made note of it with a barely noticeable smile that didn't linger.

The fifth obstacle in their way proved to be far more humorous than the previous. It was a regiment of wooden scarecrows dressed up to look like Machoke in overalls and farmer's hats. They spun around mechanically, swinging an extension of themselves that had been painted to look like pitchforks; though the pointy ends were nothing more than polished nubs meant for blunt force.

"Dragon Claw!" Remiel ordered, watching as Tonks proceeded to tear through them savagely.

Fernando's role in the team is quite simple: follow up with Silph contractor R-1's every move while providing a good window for contractor R-2 to segue into a seamless blitzkrieg. The end result is Fernando's Marill tagging along with Remiel's Kommo-o, rebounding with every spring, leaping off the dragon's scales to clear away at anything outside of the Pokemon's initial striking distance. When Remiel tears through the scare crows, the Marill borrows the momentum, using it as a launch pad to extend further and pave the way for Ruby's Chesnaught to clear through.

"Three."

Fernando keeps pace, not quite as fast as the Pokemon, but vocally counting out the rhythm to help his teammates optimize their timing.

It was strange having a Marill of all things help forge the way for Ruby and her Chesnaught to push through, but it was certainly appreciated. Size, and physical strength, wasn't easy to tell just by looks when it came to Pokemon. Extremely excited to be with a group of capable teammates, Ruby cheered excitedly as they charged through what remains of the scarecrows.

Up next seemed to be a rather simple looking obstacle, but a difficult one regardless. A metal wall in front of them, threatening to impede their progress. Knowing that her Pokemon was slower than the two Hakamo-o's, Ruby was quick to command it to use one of its more ranged attacks, intent on weakening the giant sheet of metal before the others reached it.

"Vine Whip!" Ruby called out quickly. Cherry stretched its arm backward, only to suddenly fling a vine straight at the metal wall, the intense force behind the movement denting the wall rather considerably.
