as its trainers begins to stretch his legs, marcel's weavile grabs a nearby pokemon for some friendly roughhousing. except the BEAT UP doesn't seem all that friendly.

there was a lot of snarling and growling between each hit the weavile did. all it did was get on the poocheyna's nerves, turning it flustered and jumpy and skittish.

each hit activates its rattled up to six times since that's the amount of pokemon marcel has, probably.

as soon as the signal for the start of their course sounds, the poochyena bolts away from them. kyle thinks twice about chasing after him, but decides on waiting with his team to go first instead.

"goodbye poochy," kyle murmurs as his poochyena sprints to the ends of the earth.

That was what Remiel had decided to call her while she remained under his employ. Under his instruction and coaching, he decided to run a little experiment during the competition. Sparing a glance to Marcel, the admin who had so graciously provided the pokémon in question for said experiment, the black-haired royal watched as his Weavile unceremoniously beat-up the Poochyena.

Quickly noting the physical benefits the Poochyena was receiving because of this abuse, Remiel uttered a command. "Wednesday, Psych Up." Then, after she locked her gaze onto the dog and let a strange energy influence her, the bell rung.

And Remiel had, at this point in time, never seen such a baffling, amazing, and quite frankly hilarious sight: the Gothitelle took off like an Olympic runner, sprinting over the first hurdle with ease despite her dress-like body.

The Pokemon seems enamored by Kyle's Poochyena, often PSYCHING UP to pursue the dog with the same frantic speed. Unfortunately, Fernando is not as fast, showing a visible effort to keep pace by jolting in the wake of his Pokemon's galloping hooves.

conditioned to chase after his poochyenas whenever they run away from him, kyle follows closely behind his pokemon at fully speed. no matter how much he tries, the distance between the two of them just never seemed to close.

eventually, he realizes his folly and his spacial awareness towards the other people he was with kicks in. his legs slow down, not to match up with the rest, but to conserve energy. they probably won't even get a prize for this that's worth the effort anyways.

Wednesday is unrelenting. She takes to the challenge with silent but powerful determination. Her strides cross great distances as she leaps over one hurdle then another. And, for now, there appears to be no decline to her momentum.

The best Remiel can do is manage his breathing and keep pushing forward. He's far behind her at this point, but still within a distance that he can make audible commands if need be. But she's doing well all on her own at this moment. So, instead, he shifts his eyes to briefly peek at the progress of his teammates instead.

The gap between them grows exponentially as the limits of the human body become more visible with every step. Fernando gives no effort to conserve his energy, taking large strides, breathe ragged as he pushing onward.
