Nero could not understand why his human companion had decided to allow him to do this, or how it was even… possible in the first place.

Either way, he was sure that the spiky-haired human would come by and pick him up later as the tall man vanished down an alleyway—headed in the direction of his favorite bar to knock off a few hours, of course.

He was going to wait for Nero’s… well, ‘thing’ to finish, so there you have it.

Now that he followed the temporary ‘human people’ he was going to be doing this for, he sighed. What kind of unspeakable nightmare was he going to have to be a part of?

Either way, it involved scaring unsuspecting people who made calls over the phone—and quite honestly that was kind of nice to do.

Especially if your human didn’t want you doing what you did best, right…?!

marcel's rotom is plenty familiar with the workings of an email inbox, given all the time it spent assisting its trainer with his work. taking the usb stick wrapped in its electric tendrils, the pokemon plugs it into the computer before slipping in itself.
[break][break]the wave of complaint emails is unrelenting, but the rotom does its best to ignore them as it gets to work. marcel had given it clear instructions to farm any useful data, so that is what it'll do. the pokemon buzzes to itself as marcel's program connects the computer to the rest of the network, breaking past security to get to the data beyond this account's clearance level. it's easy enough, given the company's carelessness.

the job is a perfect fit. at some point, dominic's gengar had apparently developed a penchant for watching reality tv singing competitions when its trainer left it in his apartment. this love for music manifested itself in various ways, primarily in the form of singing various discordant renditions of PERISH SONGS.

and now? the gengar relished in this opportunity to serenade as many callers as possible. the pokemon would stand on an office chair at a desk, lining up phone receivers, grinning at the abusive voices on the other end. and then it would open its mouth and serenade them with the best melodies it could muster. the aggressive yelling would turn to screaming - it's a fine distinction, but the gengar would pick up on it.

it doesn't matter to him. he just wants to sing, and finally he has an audience.

The job should have been simple, Zule the chandelure was given a headset and all she had to do was listen to people complain. Yet she had a small dilemma, the button on the phone that allowed her to answer calls was out of reach. Her spindly arms couldn't bend enough to push it, so she had to float up and use her pointy butt every time. It was so annoying, she kept hitting numbers or missing all together.

And then when she actually got on a call, the human on the other end would complain. She would of course try to solve their issues, replying with ethereal screeches and hums. Yet that only caused them to scream and hang up. She didn't understand what she did that made them react that way, it was all so confusing.

Was she doing a good job? A bad job? She couldn't tell, and she doubted she would know until the end of her shift. And so she just continued doing it how she has been, sighing as yet another caller hung up after yelping in terror. Humans were so strange.

anyone in the room right now will notice the sudden drop in temperature: it is the chilling presence of selena’s gengar that curses the place with its innate terror.[break][break]

some people will say it is the perfect job for pluto. the gengar will just laugh at the angry clients who keep on cussing over the phone, to which the ghost-type will respond with a cold laughter, the one that sends shiver down their spine.[break][break]

“gengar,” he curses over the phone and the person on the other end suddenly lost connection. the manager approaches gengar’s workstation to reprimand him but by the time he reaches his desk, the ghost’s laughter erupts in the room with a magical poof, signaling he is gone.[break][break]

“Maro! Maro! Wak! Wak! Maro maro wak!” Ozai hollered over the phone, dancing about on top of his desk as the conversation between him and the person on the other side of the phone started to heat up. He growled, yelling even loud into the device that humans used until the person on the other side got so frustrated with him they hung up. “Marowak?” The creature mumbled, head titled to one side in confusion as to way the human hung up. What got them so upset?

Moving on the next caller, Ozai answered with another round of hollers. Yelling his species name into the phone and dancing on top of his desk until once again, the human hung up. Why do they keep hanging up on him? This continued over and over again. Him yelling into the phone until the human on the other side hung up. The ghost and fire type didn’t understand why they kept hanging up on him. He also didn’t understand why his trainer wanted him to do this. His gaze shifted to the others, wondering how long he would have to do this before his trainer would show up again.

a call center doesn't suit the likes of a golurk. it's big and bulky and suits the battlefield more than the office space.

nevertheless, it's here to do the job assigned to him. following the company's motto of 'revenge is a dish best served cold' is today's mission.

every time a line is directed to the golurk, a curse comes to the other end. there's a basket of berries right beside the golurk to replenish its reserves every time it spreads out curses to the public.

on one hand, there's a significant feedback on the golurk with every curse it gives out. on the other hand, the golurk seems to enjoy it.

Freedon Nadd the Palossand had been tasked with a...job to say the least. Ghost-Type Pokemon had been requested to fill in for what seemed to be something akin to telemarketing, or something of the sort. Receiving complaints night and day, it was apparently the Pokemon's job to take the brunt of the negativity thrown at the company.

And it was perhaps the case of Freedon Nadd that was in part as to why the company was going under in the first place.

After all, who hired a sentient pile of sand to take...phone calls....

Left in a cubicle to itself the large mound of living sand would only do just that...Freedon would fill an office space with sand while shifting from time to time, missing calls, just literally filling space....

Eventually however the sand Pokemon would knock over it's telephone, leaving the line's dial tone dully and annoyingly to echo out throughout the rest of the office space. Freedon Nadd was being quite Astonishing to say the least.

In the end the Palossand had done less than little, being quite literally nothing other than bothering everyone else in it's eerie, useless silence.
