It should not be surprising that the place Sabine Calcifet found herself lingering was the exquisite furs mom and pop shop. It was also not surprising to see that she was quite upset by the whole situation. [break][break]

"I think that it is appalling that you are choosing to push these.. these cheaply made furs under the guise of beauty. These are horrendous!"[break][break]

She brushes her fingertips against the material, and though she is surprised to find that some of it is actually authentic, the moment is fleeting. But only because her expression contorts into something beyond disgust.[break][break]

"You've made a mockery of these furs, and of yourselves! Good quality product-- wasted."[break][break]

Whoever had crafted these were at best an amateur with an unsteady hand and a bad eye for detail. [break][break]

Sabine was almost certainly being overdramatic, however, as these people had not made any boast. In fact, they were rattled. The grandfather rose from his seat, shaky cane and all to give her a stern talking to. Someone else from the family chooses to hold him back, pleading with Sabine to move along and leave them be.[break][break]

"My grandfather made these furs by hand, miss, I assure you they are--"[break][break]

"Then I suggest he retire."[break][break]

It is at this point that someone really ought to intercept and de-escalate the situation.[break][break]

Eventually, the ride only gets worse. By the time they reach solid ground again, the turbulence and wind blasting their cabin had been replaced by torrents of rain beating against the glass. It leaves streaks impossible to see through due to a lack of windshield wipers, and she can feel the immense Corviknight crouching to shake itself. The sudden movement jostles the cabin and she can hear someone shouting for the bird to cut that out until after the passengers have stepped out.[break][break]

But Sabine isn't budging. [break][break]

Instead, she lingers at the edge of the cabin door, thoroughly disgusted. Her nose is pinched in a set of unflattering wrinkles, marring her perfect skin. The rain is heavy and she didn't come prepared with an umbrella. Zac is asking if she wants to run and she looks at him with a look of horror and insult. Her hand rises to her chest as she stands there, aghast.[break][break]

"Do I look like I run? You have got to be fucking kidding me."[break][break]

"Come on, move along, you two! I have more deliveries and passengers to cart around - can't stand here waiting for you to stay or go."[break][break]

Sabine remains rooted, however, thoroughly displeased with the situation.[break][break]

Sabine had matched with the extreme athlete on tinder, and upon arriving, assumed she'd been ghosted. Upon arriving to the date spot, she saw that not only was the weather absolutely terrible, the guy had picked the worst date spot. On top of that, he was nowhere to be seen and his gear was gone.[break][break]

He'd left without her on his magnificent hike or climb or whatever it was he even did. To be honest, she'd swiped right because he had a rockin' bod. Clearly no brains though, given the search and rescue team inbound. She'd called it in because she'd been mad, and didn't really take into consideration how serious the situation might actually be. He wasn't in danger, surely. I mean, he did this all the time, right?[break][break]

Sabine's arms are crossed over her chest and a pathetic pout pressed to her full, glossy lips.[break][break]

"Took you long enough. For all of the urgency on the phone and how important this guy is, you sure took your sweet time coming to rescue him."[break][break]

Sabine had grown up under her brothers cold stare. There was a rage there, bubbling beneath the surface. And, like always, the woman meets it head-on and unafraid. Once upon a time she may have cowered beneath his icy stare, flinched against his indifferent tone and deflective inflection - but she had grown up. [break][break]

Her mouth opens to challenge him further, to ask him to speak up and pick the fight, but someone else barges in to disrupt their conversation. She's the first to turn and address their new friend, and she does so with coldness and mild hostility. Remiel follows up with slightly more poise, objecting to her barging in.[break][break]

"Are we supposed to know that name?"[break][break]

She pointedly stares at Remiel, pissed off further that she had no idea what was happening. It felt like she was stuck in a loop, reliving a scenario she had suffered through for years - never being included in conversation, always guessing at what it is her peers are talking about. It results in her setting her jaw, irritated.[break][break]

"So you lost your son... and you expect us to find him?"[break][break]

She snorts, raising an eyebrow at the woman in front of her, completely disregarding her cry for help.[break][break]

And when her eyes fall on his face, when they narrow and study him with an intense scrutiny and suspicion, she is met with a Remiel-styled brick wall. He lets out a breath, but she can feel his deflection coming. It annoys her immediately, and she sucks in a breath to begin her reprimanding.[break][break]

"Remiel-- are you hiding things from me? From mother?"[break][break]

But before he might be able to answer, there is a commotion outside of the office that has been growing in intensity. She hadn't noticed it earlier because she hadn't cared too, she was far too absorbed in her own self-importance and presence in Remiel's life that she just didn't care.[break][break]

Now, however, the intrusion from outside had entered the small quarters, cramping an already cramped space. Sabine's face is flushed with rage, and she glances from Remiel to the woman who has wholly ignored her to interrogate or assault her brother with questions.[break][break]
