His eyes narrow when the Lucario uses its speed and personal strength to start lifting the Pinsir off from the ground. For a brief moment, the battle-scarred bug is caught off guard, but it refuses to let go and only tightens its grip around it.

”Gatack, harden!” he commands immediately in response to the Lucario’s quick thinking. For a brief moment, the Pinsir’s body shines as its carapace thickens – softening the blow.

J.J. smiles as he slowly plots out a war of attrition against the fledgling gym leader; after all, the Pinsir’s BIND over the Lucario would still do damage even if it were stuck on the defensive now. Even against the ground, the Pinsir quickly exerts its own physical strength as it quickly pulls the Lucario down to the ground with it.

Is it even possible to de-volve a pokemon? J.J. inwardly asks, thinking of the possibilities and consequences such a thing might cause. Terrible enough that people already find Slowpokes to be delicacies, now they’re torturing the pokemon by forcibly detaching the Shellder from its tail.

As much as any pokemon activist might object to such a cruel trade, it’s honestly no skin off his back. The black market has existed without any complications and as always, business is booming. He’s at least thankful that he’s not the one getting his hands dirty; after all, all he’s doing is collecting and transferring the livestock.

J.J. waits silently, his face covered by a surgical mask and his golden locks tucked away by a cap. He stands waiting as he holds a crate full of pokeballs. Quite the large haul this time around and it’s obvious that he’ll require some escorts if he wants to deliver them without any issues.

He lets out a chuckle as his smile curls up mischievously. ”Seems like you’ve got a problem, miss…” he teases, leaning his face invasively close to hers. ”And I’m here to solve it.”

He pulls back when she notices the pileup of Grubbin and Charjabugs at the bottom, moving his hand behind his head as he looks downward feeling somewhat ashamed of what his Pidgey’s accomplished thus far. What a mood killer.

”It’s not all that bad.” he retorts as if trying to convince himself. He points downwards at the pile, looking back to the woman. ”I could just take off and leave you to deal with the horde of Grubbin that are stuffing themselves with the building’s power.”

Knowing her though, she’d more than likely object to him doing such a thing.

”You know, you don’t really seem the type to hang around over here. What even brings a gal like you over to a place like this?” he asks curiously, trying to probe the woman’s intent.

Her attitude and attire certainly contrasts against the country life, and her presence must’ve had a much more important reason. It wouldn’t even occur to him that she might be part of Team Rocket; after all, she’s far too upper class to potentially throw her life away like that.

Then again, he’s not one to talk considering his own upbringing.

His smile only grows as he towers over the woman. ”Well, Sabine, It’s certainly been a pleasure.”

”No, you’re not distracting us from anything.” J.J. responds with a bright smile on his face. He’s had poor luck thus far in trying to find a wild pokemon and unexpectedly he’s found a person instead. He slides his hands into his pocket as she proposes a brief alliance.

He thinks on it for a moment before nodding. ”Sure, it’s better to have company than to go at it alone. I’m J.J., by the way.”

He slowly extends an arm out to shake the girl’s hand when he spots a wild Poochyena nearby. His blue eyes widen and sparkle for a moment as he looks to his Lucario. ”Soleil, Aura Sphere!” he demands. The bipedal canine nods, firing a ball of pure energy at the dog, striking it with great precision. Utilizing this opportunity to its fullest, he tosses out a pokeball, absorbing it through a red beam.

Gatack braces for impact as the Lucario brings its paws downwards, clawing away at its face, but the already scarred Pinsir seems to hold strong as it simply squeezes harder, locking the poor beast in a BIND.

"You're going to have to do something better than that if you want to escape." he chides the gym leader, offering some advice towards her desperation.

Having the Lucario in its clutches, the Pinsir has no intention of letting it go as its attempt at crushing the bipedal canine into submission will continue on so long as the poor pokemon remains in battle. J.J.'s lips curve upwards mischievously as he smiles at the girl, wondering exactly what she might do.

Blitz the Eevee seems at ease as with its surroundings as he typically spends his day out and about with his trainer. Finding the daycare to be relatively comfy, he at first naps; though not before noticing a very colorful looking Corsola stowing away in a dark area.

A mischievous glint shines from its eyes as it slowly begins its approach, finding the poor coral pokemon hiding within its hole. Without hesitation, Blitz begins pawing away into the hole, continuing to tap at it playfully.
