Distracted by her competitive boasting, Alek almost missed the bug type that scurried on nearby. The kricketune seemed to be a rather interesting specimen. Some dedicated their lives on studying what the pokemon's melodic patterns entail; perhaps it would be a good idea for him to study the same on his spare. "So much for fishing, huh?" Alek snickered, seeing as they've caught everything now other than fish.

Xerox lunged out of the water with a crunch of its own. Caught in surprise, the kricketune retaliated by shooting sticky webs, though it did little to none as it would soon realize with Xerox crunching harder than it did before. The carvan-ditto flopped and dragged the struggling kricketune towards the water which then allowed Alek to throw an empty ball for it to be caught.

"Now that's two to two." A smug grin formed on his face as he retrived the pokeball.

forced positivity, if anything, is just as disgusting. if we made a list of worldwide disasters i'm sure that list would be nothing but hoenn for the first ten pages. we're nuked on a monthly basis, for christ's sake. this region could only take so much. the league better stop beating their meats and start focusing more on how we could fight back and prevent these threats without immense casualties.

as we've discussed before on discord, it would be really neat for the two of them to work together; most especially on future rocket projects, like maybe genesect or the whole shadow pokemon ordeal if given the opportunity. also, testing a suit? alek could definitely be there keep here in check either by ordering the man as his superior or just lulu asking a colleague out. run some scans on here before, during, and after tests; see if anything's wrong with her body and mind. in turn, alek could be one of the first few to actually see that something's wrong, not just notice her being off, but actually identify an anomaly going on inside her brain.

hello, yes, resident scientist from rocket here! though there may be little reason for them to form a bond, if she is ever in need of anything science-y, especially if it's pokemon/bio related, alek might just be her contact. though of course alek's fairly new, joining the new rocket. he is currently residing inside the sub so there's plenty ways for them to bump into each other inside the hq. oh, and if she's streaming, chances are that alek's watching her being the closet nerd that he is despite acting cool and tough. also, definitely his type, but he's not saying >>

Well damn it to hell. Alek missed the golisopod as he was busy eyeing what his ditto was up to underneath. He watched as the carvanha took care of the golisopod; a scene too riveting that he had miss the joltik nearby. Seeing the ruckus, the joltik immediately scurried away, wanting nothing to do with the rowdy bunch.

"One to one it is." Alek coughed. A friendly competition it is! Highly unlike Alek, though with little hold of himself, the scientist from rocket simply went with what he had started; even after realizing what childish behavior he had exhibited from before. He shrugged, dismissing his more rational side for the meantime.

He's having fun, after all; just when was the last time he did so?

"I'll do one bigger, just you wait."

He took the burner without much questions asked. A mistake? Surely not with his handling of larvitar, no? Oh, that. Why would he though, not that he had much care. Alek was a man of self interest, proper decorum towards those of higher ranks were the least of his worries. Though unlike how it usually goes, his lack of proper respect did seem to pay off.

Alek added his number to the burner phone, promptly handing it back to where it belonged right after. A successful connection was made for his own good, or perhaps, was it for the worst? A mental image of his phone being bombarded by outlandish requests came to mind soon as he thought of what potential business the underboss may have for him.

'Heared you're examining a new fossil there. Say, would you mind if I drop on by and gave it a lick-'

Shocked by his own thoughts, Alek shook his head with eyes wide open to snap him out of his own nightmarish speculations.

"I'll have those other samples swabbed don't worry. And sure thing, I look forward for more work in future." He nodded shortly before Chu-e took his leave.

"Nice throw." He said, satisfied with the booth manager's bewildered look. He plucked one of the larger of plushies amongst the bunch; a black wooloo plushie. Though he's not one to enjoy stuffed plushies, he thought it was well worth it after losing 30 dollars only to spite the booth owner.

"The name's Alek" He replied, returning the courtesy he had received. "Eh, sure. I'd be down for some." Alek shrugged. It wouldn't hurt to get a serving of shaved ice with whoever it was, shutting the booth owner up and out of his smugness was enough to give the stranger some trust.

"No wonder." Alek blurted, noticing his new company and the pokemon he had with him. "If I recall, ferroseeds are heavy despite their size, partly due to its diet of various minerals. Looking at your ferroseed's spikes I can say that-"

Alek had cut himself mid sentence. A grimace formed on his face, noticing that he was, yet again, carried away with what he was saying; babbling of his mental notes out loud.

"You lead the way." He cleared his throat.

"Starmie? It would be lovely to examine one, I suppose. Especially interesting considering common hearsay of it's speculated alien origin." He couldn't help but ramble as he watched Chloe with his more pacifist approach at catching creatures, talking out loud of his mental notes without much realization. "I'll be sure to alert you if I spot one."

"And preferably, yes." He replied in response to her query. "Though I'd take what I can, regardless of typing." He shrugged. He felt around his belt and counted how many empty pokeballs he had left. For now, he had at most four more though with no expectation to use them all.

The clefairy was a welcome surprise and a rare find, or so he thinks, considering its often timid nature. He knew of its kind to be rather adept at healing, something he might need considering the dangers presented by affiliating with rocket. The reuniclus gave the fairy type a beam of confusion, hoping to disorient his catch. With that done, Alek threw a ball, hoping to nab the fairy type for his own

Perhaps he did judge the underboss far too early. Alek gave a raise of his brow towards Chu-e, allowing the silence of such a tense moment to settle and sizzle by itself. "Mhm..." He hummed in agreement. "Not that I know what it's like to commit murder." He added with a shrug, his gaze and attention still focused towards the larvitar. "And I'd like to leave it like that, preferably."

It's not a surprise, however, for Alek to be desensitised by the thought of death; after all, he had to study and view such corpses during his early days for academic purposes.

"That's not how shit and piss works, sir. She's no toothpaste tube. Though I suppose your latter idea would work. I'll have him taken care of, don't you worry. I'll have her at your office next thing tomorrow, or earlier, if you so wish." He craned his head off to the side as he kept the plastic containers to himself. "And I'm no savage, thank you." He added, addressing Chu-e's remark towards pokephilia.

"Anything else you need me do or check?"

The carvan-ditto took notice of Baby, the caravanha, and its warning. Xerox simply rolled its eyes, which it thankfully did, taking notice of the ninjask overhead, hovering just inches above the water.

"Fetch me that bug." Alek gargled as more water came off his mouth. With much enthusiasm, Xerox, the then carvan-ditto, jumped up with a Crunch. The poor bug, now between Xerox's fangs, was then dragged into the water without escape.

Before more damage could befall the insect, Alek then threw one of his pokeballs in an attempt to catch the mon. "Not exactly a fish, but I'll take it. That counts." He shrugged. "Uhum ehem, one - zero, ehem." He muttered with a cough that, this time around, was evidently false.

Since when was it a competition? Not even he knew the answer, quite frankly. Perhaps water made its way to his brain, or perhaps it was the lack of oxygen who's talking; who knows?

"Well, no-" He said. However, taking notice of Novak's gaze, Alek quickly retracted his previous statement. "-Yes, just a slight problem..." Alek turned to face the observation deck, pointing discreetly towards the thick purple hue plaguing their view.

"An unexpected reaction to saltwater." He explained. "It got out there... somehow. Though what's important here is that it's dispersing at such a high rate. By the looks of it, it'll expand up to 10 cubic meters, approximately, before it even starts to dissipate."

"So yes, I think I do need help with containing and cleaning things up before it starts to get out of hand." He grimaced. "Ah, and the initial substance was sampled from a grimer, modified and experimented on. So it is a tad bit toxic, most definitely."

"No... not ever, no." He trailed off, his head turned to the ceiling much like others within the room did in unison. "It's not from outside. Must be a... bug?" He shrugged. Whatever bug it was, it had to be big. But really, is it any reason for concern? Maintenance personnel should have it covered, they should chase whatever bug it may be out of... wherever it was, he thought.

After such momentary distraction, Alek returned to what he worked on. With proper tools, Alek extracted a couple of negligible flakes off of larvitar's skin. He then stored such samples within secure disk-like containers, refrigerated much like the previous blood samples were."Pewter and Cinnabar, huh." He echoed.

He was never affected by the whole ordeal, however, he did hear tales surrounding the takeover incident. He knew well that the previous rockets were more violent than that of the newly reformed version he had joined. As it may seem, Chu-e was one of many who had shed blood for the organization, even so far as facilitating said bloodshed. Afraid? Regret? Frankly, no. Alek grew without much care for morals, without much care, he'd partake in such if it meant personal gain.

"Fun, I presume." Was all he could say. After all, what was there to say? 'Good sport chap, slaughtered a pigsty, eh?'

"But you know what's more fun, though? Since we can't force it to urinate and defacate without influencing the chemical analysis of its samples, I'll have to ask for you to collect it's next batch of feces and at least this much urine." He said as he handed Chu-e two plastic containers; one labeled 'poop' while the other, 'piss'. "You'll have thirty minutes to deliver them to me else they'd be invalid for examination, sir, unless you're willing to pop these bad boys up in your freezer for later, next to whatever meat you've got up there."
