It's a good thing is here. Things between Killian and Gavin were amicable these days, but an underlining tension always permeated their conversations. The blonde's past actions are forever at the back of Killian's mind.[break][break]

"I've had three drinks." he said, rollings his eyes. His tolerance far exceeded such a paltry number. A shame that Deoxys didn't share his fortitude. [break][break]

The alien reached its limit as Killian poured another drink. If its host refused to stop the poisoning of their body, then it leave - for now.[break][break]

Vertigo struck Killian, unleashing a nauseous storm in his stomach and forcing him to set the bottle down. What were once subtle ripples underneath his skin became rolling waves of biomass. All of it moving in one direction - toward his leg. [break][break]

The limb spasmed beneath the table. Killian gripped at his leg, "What are you doing?" he demanded. [break][break]

Deoxys reply came when it slinked out from his pant leg.[break][break]

Lead, he does. Going slow to give Deoxys and himself time to adjust. Though it doesn't take long to find a training room empty of occupants.

When they enter, and the door shuts behind them, Killian's not sure what to say or do. He turned to Lex, letting that uncertainty - vulnerability, out for her to see.

"I don't have a game plan." he admits, "But I know it feeds off adrenaline. Let's start there. Get my heart pumping and Deoxys fed." that might help it relax too.

"Sparring seems like the best option." but the idea of hurting Lex left him hesitant. Killian frowned. Maybe asking her to help wasn't the best idea.

Fuck, this wasn't good. Killian's brow furrowed in frustration. Why the hell didn't Deoxys want to fall back? They weren't in a position to handle multiple threats. Surely, it knew that. [break][break]

The examination with flashed into his mind. "Adrenaline." Of course. No wonder it wasn't going to flee. A fight like this provided too grand a feast. [break][break]

Killian tugged on his leg regardless, face strained beneath the biomass helm. "Move, damnit!" he demanded. [break][break]

It's too late, even if they did.[break][break]

The ground shook violently beneath him, jagged rocky pillars erupting from the cavern floor. They trapped Killian like a rat in a cage, stabbing through biomass and into flesh from multiple angles. The pain's white-hot in intensity, almost forcing a yell, but Killian refused Matias the satisfaction. [break][break]

He hung there in his prison, body limb and seemingly defeated. Naganadel, too froze. Unsure of what to do but watch and wait.

The clinic doors slide open and Killian stepped casually inside. "Will you quit it already?" he complained to the silver Eevee in his arms. The small cub refused to stop nibbling on his fingers.

"I'm here to see Doctor Morales? I called about my Eevee."

Killian already knew what the problem was but feigning ignorance gave him an opportunity to snoop, and boy was he nosy.

"No, We -" he's quick to catch himself, "It isn't the biggest fan of the sub." and it wanted him to know. Killian shut his eyes and frowned. Everything was going to be okay. They - it would be alright.

Killian repeated the assurance several times before opening his eyes. Whether it worked or not, he wasn't sure, but the knot in his stomach unwound slightly regardless.

He straightened.

"Thank you." Killian whispered, pulling Lex's hand from his back. "See, I'm fine." the smile on his face is hardly what it used to be, but it's there nonetheless.
