She's a little slow in taking in her surroundings, so it falls to Reiner to tug her along. Bright eyes settle upon the councilman, a brief dip of his head pulling Eris back into reality as she too finally perceives his presence. And she blinks, awkwardly sliding herself into the seat across him.[break][break]

Despite all her mental preparation, lunch with FERNANDO SILPH really hadn't been on her bingo card for the year.

But an abrupt stop to her momentum allows that avalanche of exhaustion hit her all at once. The way her legs burn from all that running, the chilling stings from when the branches left little scratches on her skin. Her palms rest against her knees, a deep breath taken soon turning into a cough as it catches in her throat.[break][break]

Unlike her, Reiner is much more graceful in his pause, his chest barely heaving from the effort of running the distance. And he even turns back to spare Isaac a smug, toothy grin. One that is quickly echoed by Eris as they both begin to cackle like gremlins.[break][break]

WHY IS THIS THREAD IMPORTANT: A moment of doubt and a lifetime of regrets. It's funny how a request to interrogate turned into brutal scars and haunting guilt. A thread where Josh nearly kills Eris in a rush of emotions, a thread where past experiences escalate a confrontation between two people who have both been affected by Rocket in some way. For Eris, it helps to feed the monster that doesn't trust the league in the slightest. For Josh, it's the moment where he's realised that he's crossed some lines that shouldn't have been crossed.

IS RELATION KNOWN: Unlikely, since the incident was swept under the rug. But anyone who has probably seen Eris and Josh interact in events such as VCT can probably infer that something bad must have happened between them.

A few last hops, breaths to get her heart pumping. And then she's off, Reiner following close on her tail.[break][break]

The Voltorbs' movements are erratic, rolling about as they bounce off walls and one another. And with each touch, they buzz angrily at each other, as if cursing and threatening to explode that very instant. All she has to do is find the gaps in which she can slip herself into.[break][break]

Growl. A little to the left. Nudge. Take a few steps more forwards. Bark. No, not there. Reiner is faster at predicting their movements, and quite honestly, athletic enough to jump, twist and zip over possible collisions. She, on the other hand, has to factor in her limited field of vision and -[break][break]

A rough bump against her side. An electrifying spark that sets off every alarm in her head. But before she gets caught in the explosion, she feels something wrap around her chest and yank her back. As always, Reiner has her back, keeping her steady on her feet before releasing his grip and continuing to lead the way.[break][break]

Beside Raziel Beckett, a Ralts suddenly pops into existence, a low pressure emanating from their presence. One that is quickly suppressed as the Woopers begin to crowd them and cheerfully offer a cookie.

She's missed this. All these sensations. Ducking under a low-hanging branch, hopping and heaving herself over a fallen log, shuffling her way through overgrown thicket.[break][break]

"C'mon, Isaac! Keep up!"[break][break]

Freedom of movement. The ache of her lungs as she takes a deep breath. All her senses working without the slightest bit of restriction. The rustling of leaves and crunching of branches as an ever familiar Luxray easily keeps pace with her every step. All with a rather smug grin to boot.[break][break]

Another small creek that lies ahead, she pulls her arms back, then begins to swing them forwards as she launches herself into a comedically large leap.[break][break]

[attr="class","eris109"]Recovery didn't come as quickly as she'd hoped. For some reason, she'd been feeling much more tired than usual. Or well, she supposes that anyone would feel an ungodly level of exhaustion after being put through what seemed like 7 days of prison and torture.[break][break]

Still, she doesn't turn down an invitation from Andrea Vaneau. After all, she'd seen how the two seemed to have bonded during their last escapade.
