The warmth of the sun is nice. The breeze tangled in her hair makes her appreciate her freedom all the more. With Reiner by her side, nothing will go wrong.[break][break]

She tenses, awkwardly shifting her body not to disturb Reiner as she gets to her feet. He immediately jumps up, eyes still focused on her as he readies to follow.[break][break]

His frown makes her hesitate.[break][break]

That raise of his brow lets her know that she isn't fooling him, but he nods anyways. Then, he wraps his tail around her hand, gently tugging her along.[break][break]

A smell wafts through a slightly opened door: Tasty, familiar. Makes her feel rather hungry. Come to think of it, she wasn't able to stomach anything for breakfast earlier.[break][break]

"Isaac?"[break][break]

Had he come home to make lunch? Why hadn't he called out to her then? Was he hoping to surprise her? Or maybe one of the pokemon had prepared some food for them?[break][break]

A few steps more will lead her to the kitchen, and she can't help but peek around the doorway to find -[break][break]

The way that Pecharunt cries like a child that's been berated and hurt. The way that Mesprit tenses and pushes her back into Isaac Merlo. Before anything else can happen, Ogerpon strikes, batting the Never-rot so hard and fast that it shoots away.[break][break]

The source of evil has been stopped, killed even. But Cyllora is... safe. Lucid, from what she can tell. And the Megalopolans readily pick her up, their pokemon all prepared to accompany their new trainers into this vast unknown. Then comes Celebi, their powers over time quietly washing over Azelf, who's been all too still in her arms.[break][break]

And against all odds, the hope that had been burned to nothing but dust begins to take a new shape. A quiet breath, a strange warmth that radiates from her chest. She can see Mesprit draw closer, cooing as they reach out to hold their sibling's hand.[break][break]

"We did it..."[break][break]

In the wake of chaos, the adrenaline subsides. With it, comes a brutal wave of exhaustion, her body giving out on her as she falls right to her knees. And yet she smiles, carefully adjusting her hold until they seem comfortable.[break][break]
