To find a certain Melody Miro after reporting to the League Headquarters for that usual check-up on her and Mesprit.[break][break]

Though, she wonders how exactly she is meant to explain to them the things that have transpired between them. Perhaps, it's better kept silent for now, until they are certain of what will be.

She reaches but is pushed back by a harsh psychic force, twin tails flicking in slow rhythm as the pixie never once tears their gaze from the man. With Azzy forcefully withdrawn into the safety of her pokeball, Eris can feel the pinpricks of instinct all over her skin. Against an avatar that knows how their powers can tear lives asunder, no one will blame her if she chooses to run.[break][break]

But despite the display of power, despite the way Mesprit tells her to leave, she stays. A simple throwing knife chucked with all of her strength, right for this stranger's head.[break][break]

"That was pretty rude of you, Mister."[break][break]

At her waist, a radio crackles to life, voices rising through the static as a Rotom continues to send distress signals over the channels.

Chains click and the sprite stops, eyes narrowed ever so slightly as they let out a low trill. For a moment, there is a wave of anxiousness that pricks at the heart of those present, a feeling that gnaws at their chest and attempts to make them think twice about engaging. In the past, there had been no time wasted acting upon those growing fears - No thoughts could form beyond the thought that she needed to get away.[break][break]

Now, as she stands here, watching Hideo ready himself to fight the approaching nightmares, there is peace in her heart. Frail, yet ever hopeful as she tries to find where her footing in this world. With fragile gaze turned towards Mesprit, there is a moment of silence between the two, then a quiet nod as the creeping unease begins to subside.[break][break]

"Reiner." She calls and he answers, gracefully uncurling himself from his seat. "Don't push yourself, yeah?"[break][break]

A snort, almost as if he's offended she thinks him to be that irresponsible. In the meantime, Mesprit teleports in a flutter of pink, joining Uxie in hiding away from the camera.[break][break]

"Guess we'll have to guest star in your video today, huh?"

From being pinned down by a Luxray to having a Salamence bear down upon it, the Marshadow will find no mercy as it takes the Hyper Beam straight to the face. And as the last bits of its consciousness begins to fade, it too begins to fade back into the shadows.[break][break]

As for the Iron Crown, no amount of trainer intervention or imaginary strength will enable it to withstand the onslaught. As Ogerpon begins to burn up, Eris hears the crackle of lightning over the roar of flames. Strikingly blue electricity streaks past the young ogress, a Luxray wreathed in starlight as he bolts for his trainer, his ward, his sister. And with teeth snagging onto the scruff of her clothes, he yanks her away from the ruthless burst of flames.[break][break]

A quiet grunt, a panic searing her senses as she is tossed to the ground. But there is a mad scramble back onto her feet, not for fear of an Iron Crown rushing at her in its death throes, but the need to check on Reiner. To protect him from the remaining Rocket -[break][break]

"It's over!" She yells out into the howling wind, Jack's ribbons tightening around her arms in warning. Even through the minor storm of ice and fire, she can see the hateful glare of the defeated, and meets it with a defiant one of her own. "Back off before we take you down too."[break][break]

While she is more than capable of dragging out and continuing this fight, she's uncertain if the same can be said for Andrea and her Fuecoco. Not to mention, she's certain that Reiner must have reopened his wound, judging by the laboured breaths he tries so hard to suppress.[break][break]

The Rocket, on the other hand, has watched a whole squad of grunts and his partner get taken down, all whilst him and his Gouging Fire have failed to breach the defenses created by a mere Wooper. No matter how capable they may be, a two on one situation is not favourable in the slightest.[break][break]

"You'd best -"[break][break]

"Watch my back? I ain't the one that's gonna get rocked for letting a kid beat them." Don't let them get the better of her. Don't let the voices get the better of her. She's vowed to herself that she wouldn't let them continue to ruin her, and she will bite back each and every time they lift a hand against her.[break][break]

A click of their tongue, and they're forced to make a hasty retreat.[break][break]

"Reiner!" It all comes crumbling down as soon as they leave. Jack unravelling from her hands, her eye tracing his belly as the first splotches of red begin to stain his bandages. "We've gotta -"[break][break]

Though he winces with every bit of movement he makes, he does not fail to give Eris a reassuring nudge. It will be okay, it'll take more than this to kill him. She knows this better than anyone.[break][break]

A deep breath, a quiet nod.[break][break]

"Andrea, we're heading back to the ranger station. You should come along, so we can get you and Jalapeño looked over too."

[attr="class","eris109"]It is hard. Mesprit looks to Uxie, then quietly answers. It is easy to say that you would help, but oh so difficult to when you seem to be the very source of the issue. Not only that, but the domain they wield is one of the most fragile parts of a human. Eris' pokemon no doubt have tried to keep her together, but this is far more than a mere identity crisis.[break][break]

"Chu-e... Matias... Cillian... Devlin. Isaac is basically a walking corpse and Doug went crazy in Petalburg."[break][break]

This is a fear that has been fuelled by the continued exposure of seeing what gods can make of humans. Unnatural.[break][break]

Inhuman.

"Even the guy who promised me we'd be friends forever is becoming a fucking psychopath killing people and destroying cities all because he wants to prove that humans can win against Eternatus."[break][break]

If I've lost humanity, than that means you have too.

Bit by bit, day by day. Attempting to resolve things with herself, understand just what it is that goes through her head. Understanding what parts of her head are still hers.[break][break]

"I feel like I'm going crazy. When I should be panicking, but all I feel is this calm that numbs everything. When I want to stand and fight, I feel so much fear that doesn't feel like mine. Whilst sincere and true to her heart, the child no doubt stumbles and falls as those she intends to help wind up hurting and hurting her in kind. And the fall is oh so long, as she desperately cradles her bleeding heart closer to her chest.[break][break]

What do you think of a god's relationship with their people? Can a god do wrong?

Gods do not think in the same way we do, much like how the person sitting next to you could be thinking something that you would reckon is wrong and completely bonkers to think about. They can make mistakes, their interference can sometimes lead people astray. But at the end of the day, if people are not strong enough to properly deal with the consequences of forming a relation with gods, then they are not ready for it.

And there is a moment where she feels herself cringing at his long, drawn out words and his hyped up attitude. To an extent, she supposes she can see the anger dripping from his posture, verbally toned down so he can continue his explanations, as weird and awkwardly spoken as they may seem.[break][break]

Ah well, everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to making videos explanations or something.[break][break]

Sat comfortably on a fallen tree trunk with Reiner lazing right next to her, she keeps her silence until he calls for a cut. And oh, does he earn himself quite the snicker when he finally asks for her opinion. One that is echoed by Mesprit, even through their gnawing of a chocolate chip cookie.[break][break]

"It gets the explanation across, at the very least." A warped honesty, her best friend in this situation. Leaning back on her palms, she watches as Reiner lets out a rather toothy yawn. "Is this meant to target Leaguers and rangers or civilian trainers who chance upon the statues?"

The Gouging Fire and its trainer most certainly does not appreciate her efforts to return it to the Ice Age, a Raging Fury attempting to blast through the crystalline blizzard. And yet, Socks knows better than to allow them time for respite, one foot stomping against the ground as she summons her own fury with a roaring Earthquake.[break][break]

With faith that the fight behind her is being handled, Eris forces herself to move, pulling upon the chain as she runs with Doublade in hand.[break][break]

Stronger. She needs to be stronger even when she no longer has them by her side. Strong enough that she can confidently act upon her will and hers alone.[break][break]

The chain burns bright, crimson red steadily crumbling as flowers begin to bloom from its remains. As constellations weave themselves upon her clothes, spring arrives, softly, silently; Petals surging with her advance as shadows and storm descend upon the mechanical beast.[break][break]

And she is never alone. The grassy terrain keeps old injuries at bay as a Luxray leaves the Marshadow to Meatloaf for cleanup, instead grabbing the Springtide afflicted Marshadow and tossing it at the Iron Crown from across the clearing. Forcing the already groaning Iron Crown to stumble and struggle against its thorny shackles.[break][break]

Widen your stance, and set your dominant foot back to anchor yourself to brace for a blow. She moves just as she's practiced, Jack raising to parry the Sacred Sword swung in retaliation. And for a moment, she is thankful that she'd paid attention to Yuina Higashi's advice, far more solidly grounded this time as she and her knight work in tandem to fend off the antagonising crown.
