Perhaps, it's just the stray thoughts suddenly resurging as the adrenaline dies down. In the moment, all she can focus on is recalling Reiner and moving closer to Andrea, one trembling hand taking ahold of hers as she gets pulled up.[break][break]

Badass? Her and her shaky self? Would Isaac be proud of her, getting into such danger again? Knowing him... he'd probably get mad that she was patrolling this area alone for a second, then hug and tell her she's done a good job.[break][break]

Not due to the wily shenanigans of this region or some over-the-top villain attempting to snipe her for her transgressions but rather, due to a musclebrain and over-expectations for a situation that takes far more effort than just hope to handle.[break][break]

Still, that doesn't deter her. When has a setback deterred her for long? Even if she were to hit rock-bottom or lose a limb, she'd have to find a way to keep crawling, to keep moving onwards because that's all she has.[break][break]

"Didn't think you'd agree to come along." One hand wrapped around the strap of her backpack, the other gently brushing against the cracked walls. Her voice floats through the dim-lit corridor, mixed with several rhythms of different footsteps as they approach Volcanion's chamber. "You're not gonna get to fight him unless he's made some miraculous recovery overnight."

It guards several SOUL-HEARTS that it is attempting to repair. It will manage to repair one Soul-Hearts by chance as it transfers some of its INFINITY ENERGY to it, shortening the Volcanion's life. The Volcanion is doing this in an attempt to find the MAGEARNA it had sworn to protect a long time ago, believing itself to be the last surviving "knight" of the royal guard.[break][break]

Bringing one SOULLESS MAGEARNA to the Volcanion will allow your character(s) to open a hatch on the Magearna's chest to install the Soul-Heart in order to grant it "life", which then can be captured.[break][break]

Instead of a MAGEARNA, you may encounter and catch a STAKATAKA that has managed to displace itself here. Whether it is here from Hoenn or another location in ULTRA SPACE is unknown.

The wariness and fear that comes from witnessing what happens to the red chain around these creatures no longer weighs on her as much. Perhaps, this is why she grows bold. Why she instinctively moves over to take Hideo's hand and give it a reassuring squeeze.[break][break]

"Don't sweat it." A faint grin tossed his way, even though she knows that he won't ever see it. And her fingers tug at her jacket hood, pulling it up to obscure her identity even further. "Remember, pull back if it starts to hurt."[break][break]

Reiner rolls his eyes, the tightness of the bandages still wrapped around his torso a far greater reminder of his condition. Still, he's been raring to go, and he most certainly will lose his touch if he just lies around. With a whistle, he jumps right into action, the clearing beginning to bloom as petals unfurl from the earth.[break][break]

And with a roar, the Luxray unleashes a Springtide Storm against the mangy mutt.

And all the while, Mesprit is uncharacteristically silent. Gaze turned away and hands kept to themselves, as if even reaching out would destroy everything this girl still had.
