Not sure whether to take them as a threat or as a sign of distress, Tsubaki hesitates before she rushes into the vault and uses her arm to support the panting bird. As it looks back, gazing at her future, its eyes portend death.[break][break]

"You look worse for wear, huh? ... Hang on, stay there! Nakayama, take care of him for a sec!"[break][break]

Tsubaki orders Mika Nakayama to support the bird, running out of the secret room and into the kitchen. She comes back a couple minutes later with a sandwich thrown together with her top-tier culinary abilities and a glass of water, providing the Xatu some nourishment after a few days of hell trapped in this room.[break][break]

"There we go, eat up. It'll be alright. Everyone's worried about the crime scene, but they forgot about you, huh? Just take care of yourself, everything's gonna be fine."[break][break]

Well, except for the fact that the bird's master is dead. [break][break]

As she feeds to Xatu she listens intently, but there's a lot of different theories thrown about. Even in her heyday, helping Michael Navidson with cases around Slateport as a junior detective, she never really got to this part proper. Usually things would be resolved by the time they were knocking sense into some ne'er-do-wells or grappling with some existential threat. [break][break]

Violence doesn't seem to be the answer here so she stays quiet, but she nods slowly as she accepts the most common theory.[break][break]

Grigori was… completely lost. Numerous people posited great theories and ideas about the truth behind this murder, but even having multiple people say the exact same thing, and being given access to all the clues… this one was perhaps a touch out of his reach. Not for lack of trying, yet there was simply too much going on at the same time.

Yet it wasn’t an anxious, nerve-racking sort of lost. How could it be? Mr. Declan Walsh was the one asking them for their ideas. For all he knew, this could’ve been twelve Zoroarks in twelve trench-coats. So, his theory was… the majorities.

“What everyone else is saying, then,” Grigori said. This was not his sort of puzzle. His was more into fun trivia about Pokemon, word searches, and the daily crosswords. Not deduction. There was a reason he stuck with Enforcing at Team Rocket.

Who is Responsible? - Andrea
Why? - Pay off gambling debts. Guess she couldn't wait to pay off her debts, and wasn't told about the will situation. Kills the man first, then the girl later.
How? - Thunder Punch on the old man, Toxic on the girl later.

The storm was nearing it's end which signaled their time playing detectives was also coming to a swift close. To be completely honest, this entire thing had left an odd taste in Tori's mouth, and she wasn't quite sure if she liked it or not. While the allure of a murder mystery had it's perks, Tori needed a bit more action to keep her focused. [break][break]

But that didn't mean she hated her time here. It was certainly amusing to watch all of this unfold while those among her peers and respected bosses put their thinking caps on and worked together to solve the mystery. Tori herself just felt as if she didn't have much to contribute. Oh, and she still hadn't found her missing pokémon by the way![break][break]

As she checked the Vivillion if any TR had been used, she didn't come up with much. But it was fine, after all her discovery about Andrea's typing earlier was sure to come in handy for the rest of these young detectives she was sure. She stuck close to Cillian while simultaneously keeping to herself. [break][break]

She listened as other's gave their theory on who the true killer was and she had to agree, Andrea seemed awfully suspicious once all the evidence collected was revealed. So along with everyone else she made her vote for the killer, method and motive. The work that was done was intentionally spaced out in a way to cause misdirection but in the end, she assumed Andrea truly was just sloppy at this. Or perhaps just unlucky.

Realistically, he was far more puzzled about the Declan Walsh that appeared here, still unable to get their visage off his mind.[break][break]

There was one thing Rowan knew, however. Eris Halla was a smart cookie, and likely had the entire thing solved already. A few sly steps sidled him closer to the young historian, eyeing her notes over her shoulder. In turn, he'd match the answers she'd given.[break][break]

Stepping out into the entrance, everyone who was here gathered around as all of the clues and theories and mentions were given. The Pokemon had been examined, and the secret room and hidden body were thoroughly checked out, and it was time to try and figure out who did it. Having two murders on the scene now certainly changed things, and the Detective was giving them all a chance to try and put their heads together to figure out who did it.[break]
Yuina thought about all of the clues and everything they had found, and came up with a couple of theories, but ultimately she thought that the two murders weren't related to each other really, but were two different happenstances for different things. Maybe she was far off, or maybe she was close and there was something she was just barely missing, but thinking about it all, Yuina wondered if she had her facts straight to form a plausible case?

Andrew wanted to be with Walter, but walter needed money for his divorce, and couldn't come out about having an affair and wasn't aware that Madam was changing her will. Andrew is threatening Andrea for the money she owes him, and figured he could frame her for stealing the evolution stones with her Breloom. Hensley may have been a Manslaughter more than murder, but Andrew used the cleaning supplies to clean up and hide Hensley's body in the secret room[break]

His head tilts to the side as Cillian Quinn holds up the cracked TR. “It’s kind of odd that they left this with the rest. Why not toss it out?” It seems to be a moot point, though, because where does it lead them? How was it used? Those are questions that can’t be answered standing there at the case. So when Cillian suggests they take their investigation elsewhere, Hazel agrees with no protest.[break][break]

As he heads toward the hall, however, he pauses when he notices the strange man from earlier sorting through foul laundry with someone else. “You go on ahead, I’ll be right there.” He nods to the underboss, and shifts directions.[break][break]

He doesn’t know what possesses him to stop and assist Grigori Sokolov and howard slayte as they rifle through the disgusting heap, because it’s positively rank. Perhaps it’s the slip of paper that flutters to the ground unnoticed, which he stoops and picks up with careful fingers as his nose wrinkles in distaste. “Here, I think one of you must’ve dropped this,”[break][break]

Hazel holds the paper out, willing one of them to take it from him. Once it’s relinquished, he picks through the remaining heap— curious as to whether or not any more of these notes might be found within the confines of stiffened, sweaty fabric.

At least rifling through disgusting laundry proves insightful, in the end. The pockets of sweaty, discarded clothing yields yet another crumpled note. And not one to be taken lightly. As thunder cracks and then begins to wane outdoors, Hazel sighs and attempts to re-fold the paper into neater fashion before following his fellow rummagers out in the main hall.[break][break]

And seriously— where on earth had howard slayte produced that detective’s cap from? Had he had one on his person the entire time for absolutely no reason at all. He nudges the archaeologist with an elbow as he passes, an amused huff at the way Howard deflates once the theory is offered before he can make his own grand reveal. “Next time, bring a wooden pipe along too. Maybe you’ll deduce quicker.”[break][break]

All the same, though, he nods his agreement with the rest and then offers the notes for further examination, pulled from his pockets and offered with much less panache or flourish. “I’m inclined to agree. These notes and the spent TR doesn’t bode well for Andrea, when held up next to everything else.”[break][break]

Hazel shrugs, unbothered. It is easy to agree, because he didn’t puzzle it out quite as quickly. Regardless, it seems the most credible theory by far, and it would do them little good to suggest any other alternative.

Most if not all clues are uncovered and everyone gathers by Detective declan walsh . Mint is spared sight of the dead bodies and instead tries to entire some of the poor pokemon to play. [break][break]

He manages to find a couple of treats on him to entice the pokemon closer, listening idly as more and more of the case was broken down. The storm seemed to be fading. At least the windows weren't shaking, threatening to shatter against violent winds. [break][break]

"What kind of reward? Something rare like a crystalbloom or?" he asked, managing to win over the favor of one of the pokemon and petting them carefully before looking up at Declan, grinning. [break][break]

He pops up, careful not to startle the pokemon he'd been playing with. "If it's money I don't need. How about a kiss goodbye?" he asked, shooting his shot once more just like in RVL. [break][break]

Why not? Who was going to tell his actual boss? And would they even care? Doubtful. [break][break]

"While I'm curious about why exactly Grace was being paid extra under the table, against a lot of other evidence I'd say Andrea is the perpetrator. After all, Madame Peacock seemed to have a very loving relationship with her staff. Or at the very least, and incredibly good one to consider leaving them in her will." [break][break]

"In any case, when you check her pokemon against where the broken TMs were found, as well as the fact that Andrea was under duress due to her gambling debts, it's most likely her, right? I don't see Andrew killing his mom over an affair his lover has him in, or else Walter would be dead."

THE STORM STOPS...

The storm outside winds to a crawl. After all this time waiting, it seems you are free. Detective declan walsh listens to all of your theories, some of them more wild than others (looking at you Ambrose Hendrix). After he had heard them, the Detective nods along and gives a smug, self satisfied smile. It is razor sharp; those of you who have met Rocket Boss declan walsh find it makes you feel slimy and gross to see.[break][break]

"It seems more of you than I expected have sense." The man chuckles, his face once more taking on a more serious and contemplative look when he starts to speak.[break][break]

"Yes, it is as many of you surmised. Andrea was the real killer all along. She broke into the Secret Room to rob the vault- but found Hensley inside. In a panic, she killed him. Before she could properly dispose of the body, Madam Peacock found Hensley, so Andrea killed her as well. She then tried to clean up her mess and pin it on the others in the Manor."[break][break]

There was a definitive nod. Yes, Grace, Andrew, and Walter were all innocent of this crime.[break][break]

Declan looks back over all of you. His officers who were fighting the distortion pokemon outside come in about that time; soaked and tired.[break][break]

"It seems your time has run out. Thank you for the assistance."[break][break]

Detective Declan gives you all a curt nod before he turns to one of his officers, ignoring your presence as he discusses some type of paperwork. Now that you have all expended your use, he has no need to play with you.[break][break]

You all leave. As you stomp through the wet grass in the dark, the manor vanishes behind you. Your pokeballs are firmly on your hips again or your pokemon crawl back from where they were searching from you. Those with more special abilities feel as their severed connection slots back into place.[break][break]

The night churns onwards.
