As Skadi begins to wander off on her own, Ryuuzaki notices the fear exuding from his newest partners and allows them to enter their own pokeballs. They seem relatively young, so he's sure that they're just inexperienced with the laws of nature.

"Used to work in Kanto till it got..." He shrugs, watching as the Glaceon bites into something with an Ice Fang and begins to shake it vigorously. Was that a Sobble? What had it even done to incur her wrath? The vicious look Skadi gives him upon noticing his gaze is more than enough to tell him - It had simply looked at her wrong. He whistles once, hoping to get her off it. Whistles twice when she doesn't respond and simply walks over to pry her jaws open when she continues to throw her tantrum.

The poor Sobble flops to the ground and he's quick to pick it up, keeping it out of Skadi's reach.

"Violence solves nothing, princess. Only use force when you need to."

Of course, she'll give him that bark that indicates her little fit to be a necessity. That's enough to remind him of their differing priorities.

"Anyways, I currently work in a clinic near the Lilycove Beach. Pretty relaxing if you don't have to chase several baby pokemon around for hours on end."

In fact, he's certain that the more he skirts around a question, the more Dmitri will try to pry it from his lips. But Ryuuzaki will not yield. Fear only grows when the enemy has a hold on the heart and a space in the mind.

"Water-types, ice-types. I love those two the best but I definitely keep my eyes out for pokemon with curing abilities. After all, it's a medic's job to heal, not hurt."

His body processes his environment faster than his mind does, an arm sweeping the Swirlix tighter to his body as the claw of a Clauncher clamps down on the other. Pain is bitten back with a visible hiss, a quick inhale taken in as he steadies his grip on the pink fairy.

A Glaceon appears in a flash of light, a wild yowl tearing through the air as she sinks Icy Fangs right into the Clauncher. Being caught off guard, the shrimp is more than convinced to let go, finding himself tossed back into the water and frozen into an ice cube for seemingly good measure. Before the Glaceon can possibly continue to exact her wrath, Ryuuzaki tosses a pokeball to secure the Clauncher, wincing just slightly as the pain spikes with movement.

"Calm down, Skadi. No one's seriously hurt." As if proving his point, he moves his hand arm about with utmost care, clenching and stretching his fingers before her very eyes. "See, I'm alright."

She clearly still has her fur ruffled, but Skadi accepts the assessment with a huff and a cold flick of her tail.

"Can't say that my pokemon are always on the same wavelength as me though. Some of them are real feisty, like princess icy over here. She loves the battlefield while some of my calmer companions prefer to hang around and play with the rescued pokemon my workplace has."

The salt! The sea! And a thankful lack of sand! As the crystal oceans reflect the beautiful hues of a rising sun, Ryuuzaki is more than pleased to take to any ocean-bound job. Even more so, when he is to be accompanied by a lady and her charms.

The captain of their hardy little boat settles them miles out of shore, the hum of the motor rippling through the waters below. For a brief second, Ryuuzaki finds himself leaning slightly off the edge of the boat, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Corsola they've been sent to protect for this perilous migration.

"So, ever done this kind of job before? Open water diving and some seafarer's combat? I rarely run into people with such experience but hey, always a first time for everything!" His attention barely splits from the water's surface but he knows she's nearby. Tugging on the straps of his gloves, Ryuuzaki can barely resist the temptation to simply dive into the ocean and observe the creature's living within, his diving equipment already prepared for this rare opportunity. His gaze finally tears away from the sea, crimson eyes turning to his partner as he offers a goofy grin.

Divinity is but an illusion in the eyes of non-believers. Had gods truly been present and gracious as people had said, would Kanto really have fallen to Rocket's invasion? Would many of those in Rockets have been provided an alternative path over their demise? Would more people have found salvation if the gods had cared to answer their prayers?

She dances around the poor creature, letting out a loud Bug Buzz and haphazardly flying into her. Perhaps, the Cutiefly doesn't quite enjoy the idea of having another fairy present? Regardless, Ryuuzaki is quick to recall the tiny bug with a flash of light, pocketing the pokeball as he cautiously approaches the terrified Swirlix.

"Hey..." An outstretched palm is met with a flinch, and consequently a slowing of his movements. Softening his gaze, the man simply allows his hand to remain a distance before the Swirlix, inviting the pokemon to approach him at her own discretion. Eventually she does, gingerly sniffing his hand as he takes the opportunity to run his fingers through her fur. "It's okay now... Didn't mean to scare you and all."
