Ah, his weakness, his one sore spot. To be on the receiving end of a toddler's tantrum is one thing, to hear a mention of his sister coming from this man is another. And yet, his smile isn't strained in the slightest, carrying that same sense of dumbassery and mischief as always.

Though Noiz is successful in deterring his opponent, the same can't be said for the poison running through his veins. The Archeops is silent about it, but Ryuuzaki catches the signal way quicker than usual - The way he splays his talons as if prepping for yet another clawing; It's a sign that the battle's beginning to take a toll on him and he wants to tap out.

If so, there's no point in forcing the poor avian to continue with this farce any longer. Sure enough, the Archeops is recalled in a flash of red, a light smile tinting Ryuuzaki's lips as he tucks the pokeball away.

"I'll give this one. Noiz needs to be tended to as soon as possible."
[break][break]
Unfortunately for Gavin, he holds no authority on these battlefields. He can't quite force them into battling to the end, neither can he have Psellia attempt to poison him in public. A real unfortunate set of circumstances, but Ryuuzaki is sure that Gavin will eventually find a way to have the last laugh.

After all, petty people can hold grudges better than anyone else can.

A grin, if not to show satisfaction at a job well done, then cockiness to reflect that of her trainer's.

Even in the face of certain defeat, Ryuuzaki's calm demeanour never once falters, a whistle informing Noiz of what must be done. If Gavin wishes to send them a message, they must simply smoothen their brain to ensure that the words slide right off.

As Psellia leaps at the Archeops, he mimics her twisted smile with a smirk of his own, sweeping himself upwards as the Breloom gets just within reach. And as she lands her uppercut, he's tearing her flight with a merciless Dragon Claw to the face, seeking to reinstate gravity's shackles once more.

That look of disappointment really isn't anything new. In fact, Ryuuzaki suspects that if he didn't have to seem approachable, Gavin would probably have an eternal scowl plastered on his face.

The toxin hits its mark, a yowl tearing from Archeops as he tries his best to shake as much of the poison off as he can. With this, they're on a tight schedule and it's only a matter of time before he collapses.

Ryuuzaki whistles and Noiz chatters back, unleashing yet another Dragon Breath at the Breloom. Even if she may heal her burns once more, it's the illusion of getting somewhere that keeps the Defeatist going.

Despite her stillness, Ryuuzaki is more than certain that the Breloom has a few tricks up her sleeves. In such cases, they're forced to show their hand and strike while they have the chance. It's a corner that they've backed themselves into, after all.

Without even so much as a hand signal, Noiz begins to grasp at random stones and small boulders from his surroundings, hurling them right at the (obviously) weeded-up mushroom. The thought is as stupid as the grin on his face, a lazy fingergun pointed in Gavin's direction as he leans back.

If Ryuuzaki has never had the real words to explain his dislike for shadow pokemon, he sure as hell can see them in his mind right now. The way that the Breloom seems to dissociate from reality, the way that she simply exists to be a dangerous puppet.

Her toxic spit is avoided with premptive warning provided by a whistle, the Archeops showing off his Agility with the feat. Noiz may be resistant to poison but the more that he cumulates in his system, the harsher this thrashing will get.

So she heals herself by ingesting poison. The more he considers the various factors surrounding this matchup, the more he's certain that they're headed for doom. Even then, carrying a Defeatist's mental isn't his job, a simple breath in and out allowing him to shake off the pressure that Gavin attempts to exert.

If he's to crumble in the face of his own higher-ups, how is he meant to hold his ground against the top rangers and leaders of the League? An assassin has no need for fear, only a sense of caution that ensures that he keeps his head for yet another day.

He calls out to the Archeops with a sharp whistle - Keep some distance and continue to attack. And Noiz does so with a knowing flicker of his gaze, his wings flapping in the wind as he unleashes yet another Dragon Breath.

Ah, so this was going to be an utter thrashing. He supposes that he's seen this coming for the longest time. Malice is met with mischief, nerves dispelled by careful mental preparation as he taps once, then twice upon his pokeball.

An Archeops appears in a flash of light, somewhat disturbed by the presence of the Breloom but more than certain of his duty. Gavin wishes to assert his dominance and show what power he holds but he seems to be going about it in the wrong manner. That is, when it comes to Ryuuzaki at the very least. Till death will they stand and fight, unafraid of the afterlife or the fate that awaits them - Such a mindset has been hammered into his head ever since he's joined Rocket and oh, will he continue to cling to such beliefs.

It is not the tone of disappointment that breeds fear but rather, the thoughts of the actions that could arise from failing to meet such expectations. An injured sister, a dead parent, a razed home - He fears those things more than he fears death itself.

To protect his family no matter the cost, to grant them passage and guarantee their safety should Rocket ever set their sights upon Sinnoh. It isn't enough to become a ranger and defend the region, he has to remain a step ahead so they're never caught off guard. Such sentimentality is dangerous in this organisation, exploitable should anyone catch wind of it.

He doesn't flinch at the glint of the knife, barely reacts to it being there save for acknowledging it with a brief gaze.

Having to cover for his partners in crime seems like somewhat of a hassle, yet he is obligated to do so since they're on the same side. Thankfully, Lir has Temp's back, his Acid Armour allowing him to blend perfectly with the rain and slip past the guards to loosen the boat's ropes. With this, Temp should be able to pull out of the harbour, drawing the group into open waters.

As the sailors and the officials prepare to jump into their own boats to keep up the chase, Ryuuzaki makes his way to the harbour's edge, ready to trail the group atop his Lapras. How convenient is it that this job takes places by the waters. After its done, Ryuuzaki's sure that they'll have no need to clean up after their mess.
