She can't say she loves how this route is starting out, but there is something a bit alluring about playing the villain, so to speak.

Even so, Luka makes sure to angle her phone away from Helios, who's busy making them dinner. Should her Blaziken get an idea of what kind of game she's playing, he'd surely disapprove.

Lips purse as she reads over her options, but her eventual choice is pretty obvious:

Wait, had that actually been a knock at the door? Or was her mind just playing tricks on her? This storyline is getting to her— and though Luka's been wrapped up in otome games before, they were never anything like this.

But she assumes she's just being silly and paranoid as she looks over her new options. None of them are as unsettling as the last round, thank the stars! And Luka remembers the last woman from the tea room— which is troubling in itself, though that seems more dark triad-y then megalopian...y.

She's starting to feel like a broken record but her thumb presses the same button regardless:

Honestly, the other people playing this game all have terrible taste.

A yandere love route is so exciting! Toxic, sure, but this is all fake. Half the fun is indulging in a forbidden relationship you’d never want in real life. And adding a sudden twin into the mix? That’s SUCH a good staple of the genre, though she has a feeling it’ll be lost on the other players. What a shame….

Luka groans, frustrated, and flops back onto her bed. None of these options seem like they’ll lead to a romantic end, but she decides to go with the original man, just in case that scores her any points:

As the action scene unfolds in text, Luka can only think of one thing:

It helps, of course, that she's altruistic by nature. But this is also the appeal of such games— in real life, she'd never be able to protect someone like this. She's too slow, too weak, never in the right place at the right time. But in a game, she can be as strong as she wants...

Protect her by covering her body with yours.

Here's an interesting thought— actually, screw this.

Luka's phone falls from her hands, a pink buneary case staring sappily back up at her as she stares at the screen in mild horror. She's never been good with jumpscares like this, even though the escalation could be seen a mile away.

Unease lifts the hairs at the back of her neck, and she could swear she hears something in the other room...though dismisses it as one of her Pokemon moving about at night. That's all it could be, right?

There's no real rhyme or reason behind her next choice. She blindly picks the same option as before, just because it's familiar at this point:
