It seemed with two experienced trainers, with powerful Pokemon, they were able to easily take control of the situation and get out quickly.[break][break]

Surtur and Hela were easily able to take care of the other GRIMMSNARL. And as Summer turned to command them to take control to handle the IMPIDIMPS... well, Gunner seemed to have taken care of that already.[break][break]

She blinked in surprise, as the clearing seemed silent. There was only a pause, just for a moment, as she assessed the situation to ensure that they were safe before withdrawing Surtur back into his Poke ball.[break][break]

"I think... that's it?"[break][break]

Stepping forward in the clearing, she broke through to the trail, taking several steps ahead to see if it would lead her into a circle again. And it didn't. Her phone seemed to have recovered too.[break][break]

"Gunner! It's reversed!"

Summer saw the GRIMMSNARL, followed by a second. Everything was like a trip, one she used to take with knox prescott. But the second was her immediate concern as Gunner's ARCANINE attacked.[break][break]

"Surtur! Take the second!"[break][break]

A blue-flamed FLAMETHROWER was shot in the others direction, hearing the creature screech in pain. Followed behind him was Hela, using BITTER MALICE to attack behind Surtur's strong offense.[break][break]

"Get us out!"

Summer nodded. ”Exactly,” she said, watching the Pokémon take the lead in front of them.[break][break]

Of course, she followed behind, her boyfriend close by to make sure that she was okay. She could handle herself, but the sentiment was sweet.[break][break]

The circle they approached was something of fantasy. Summer paused, looking at it with curiosity as the mushrooms danced in a circle. Just as their messages said on their phones.[break][break]

”Round and round,” she repeated.

"We aren't absolutely certain it's just it causing this, right? Sure, it's a strong creature... but can it be so strong to create something like this on its own?" Summer wondered out loud.[break][break]

Hela stepped back, though she kept her teeth bared. Ready to attack if her master said the word.[break][break]

Summer stepped forward, letting go of Gunner's hand as she looked at the IMPIDIMP. The way it was reacting caused her concern to think that perhaps it wasn't the only one.[break][break]

And her theory was right as more showed themselves from the shadow.[break][break]

"Hela. Attack." With her master's command, the ZOROARK swiftly moved forth with incredible AGILITY, moving swiftly to swipe down a couple of the creatures before they could disappear. Another of Summer's Pokemon joined the fray, her trusted EMBOAR.[break][break]

"Find the cause of this. I think they have a leader somewhere." Blue flames billowed from his nose as he snorted, stomping through the brush.[break][break]

"Gunner. What do you think?"

Summer shivered as she heard the giggles, looking around for the source. But she couldn't see anything. Gunner's grip on her hand was tight, tight enough to hurt. But it was probably the only thing keeping her stable for the moment, not trying to go off on a murderous rampage to clear her mind of this disturbing sound.[break][break]

Then Hela shot from the bushes, lunging out as if she were trying to chase something. Morded BOUNCED, so she stayed out of the way as he came down on it.[break][break]

"An IMPIDIMP?"[break][break]

Hela growled, standing hunched beside Morded as she bared her teeth at it. Her aura was growing dark, as though she were about to attack.[break][break]

"Stand down. If this creature is causing this, we need it to escape."

Hela let out an almost purring noise, giving Morded a bump before taking off ahead of him. Summer couldn't help but laugh at the two of them.[break][break]

"The same was with Hela. Though one day, I was in one of those distortions with her, that randomly pop up. And she just... transformed. It was amazing. I never saw something like it before. But I think it fits her," she said, watching the flaring of Hela's tail flick in the bushes.[break][break]

Summer paused as Morded growled and pounced, though it seemed as if nothing was there. Her grip on Gunner's hand tightened, not necessarily in a fearful sense, as she looked around. There didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary...[break][break]

"Soething doesn't feel right."[break][break]

She pulled out her phone, but the screen was blank. Nothing showed up, except a singular message:[break][break]

Summer opened her mouth to speak, but her attention was caught away from Elisabeth and Gideon's conversation to Gunner as he began to cough. So her plan had worked after all. She tried to hide her amusement as she rested a hand against his back in attempt to help him.[break][break]

"Be careful. You might spill on your clothes," she warned as the beer splashed onto his hands and the table, rapping his back several times with a few forceful slaps.[break][break]

Summer turned to listen, though she was hardly paying attention, as the two across from them spoke to one another. Though as Gunner retreated with the excuse to clean up, she sat there for several moments. Enough for time to drag out before she spoke.[break][break]

"I'm going to check on him. Don't get too cozy, you two..." she said with a smirk, directing her gaze to Elisabeth in particular as she wandered to the bathrooms to... attend to Gunner's needs.

Hela allowed Gunner to scratch between her ears, letting out a little grunting noise before breaking forward to catch up with his own ZOROARK. She returned to her normal form, white and red with ghostly tendrils of fur floating behind her as she walked beside him.[break][break]

"Yes. I trust all the Pokemon I have, but she and a few other have a special place in my heart," Summer admitted.[break][break]

She smiled, looking up at Gunner. "And he seems like a firm protector."[break][break]

There was a sign, pointing to the nearby routes ahead. Of course, Summer let Gunner lead the way. However, after a little bit more walking, the sign appeared again. She furrowed her brows, stopping. Hela paused too, her nose pointed in the air sniffing.[break][break]

"Didn't we pass this sign a few minutes ago?"

Since their vacation and admission of feelings, Summer found herself more receptive of things that she'd previously say no to. Such things included going outside just for the hell of it. Because she decided if it was with Gunner Graves, it was worth it.[break][break]

Hence their outing to the Petalburg Woods. Spring was on its way, so flowers were beginning to bloom. Baby Pokemon were starting to show their faces as well.[break][break]

It was much like the start of their relationship, exclusive to each other.[break][break]

Summer's hand held onto Gunner's, the skirts of her dress flowing in the gentle breeze as they walked along the path. Behind them, her trusted ZOROARK stood guard, slinking between the shadows and occasionally taking the shape of other Pokemon for her own entertainment.[break][break]

"I think Hela's grown to like you. She was wary at first, but she's changing between Pokemon to try to make you laugh," Summer pointed out to him.

With each moment they shared, Summer felt fire in her veins, increasing with each beat. She lost herself for a moment in her pleasure, but when she resurfaced from beneath the surface, she was met with his face. And it struck a new beat in her.[break][break]

It was difficult to let go, wanting to hang on even after it was said and done. But she felt horribly sweaty and gross, crawling from the bed only for a few moments to wipe herself down before rejoining Gunner. She fit herself in his arms, like a perfect puzzle piece.[break][break]

Looking up drowsily, Summer smiled. "Hey." Though she opened her eyes a bit more as his tone grew a bit more serious.[break][break]

She shifted under the sheets, slipping down her top as she reached to touch Gunner's face. Her hand danced over his jaw, his cheek, his forehead, before she rested her head underneath his chin with a content noise.[break][break]

"I've never been good at this sort of thing. Love and relationships. But, with you —"[break][break]

Summer sat up, her hair falling over her face as she looked at him from above. Her chest pressed against his as she smoothed her hand against his features again.[break][break]

"The mere thought of someone else stealing your affection makes me jealous. I've never been the type to feel that way. So... what I mean to say is... I'd like us to be exclusive. Me and you. Label it however you'd like. Because I don't want you to let me go."

It was heavenly.[break][break]

If Summer was broken, Gunner was putting her back together, mending the pieces just by touching her. She sang for him, just as he wanted her to, held down by his hands.[break][break]

There was a moment of longing when he left, even if only for a brief moment, but she was given the display of him shedding his clothing. Summer sat up to pull off her own, pulling him over her as he kissed her.[break][break]

”I could have you any way in the world and be satisfied,” she murmured against his lips. However, she wrapped her legs around his torso, pulling him close.[break][break]

”Like this. Close to me. I don’t want to stop looking at you.”

Summer was pleased at his advances, raking her hands down his body to dive under his shirt. His skin was soft, yet she could feel his muscles with each movement of his body as he gripped her skirts. Her breath was hitched as there was cool air to brush her skin.[break][break]

That hitch turned into an excited laugh, wrapping her legs around his waist as he gripped her tightly. She spared no kisses to his lips as they blindly went their way to the bed.[break][break]

In fact, she was nearly breathless as she felt her back hit the mattress, looking up at him with the most wanting gaze. Summer’s teeth snagged her lip as she reached for her pillow, propping herself up to see him settle between her thighs.[break][break]

”Mmph… please, Gunner.” His name flowed perfectly from her tongue as her fingers tangled in his hair gently, brushing the strands from his face.
