Summer felt like a moron for asking all these questions. The truth of the matter was, she didn't often find herself in this position, knowing so little of a topic. Typically, she was the one who was all knowing and powerful.

It certain began to rub her the wrong way.

Summer looked around the area. "You mean that we're camping out here? Surely there's got to be a better spot for us to rest!"

[attr="class","summer"]Somehow, Summer found herself following robin coello through the mountainous terrain, the promise of showing her the dead and being her guide. Honestly, she didn't know why she was following the girl.

Perhaps it had to do with the ghost she claimed told her Summer's name. She wondered, who was it?

Still, Summer was trying to uphold her belief that the supernatural wasn't real. Moving through the desolate world was making it harder to deny, though.

Her shadow was several paces ahead of them, walking with a shadow of a man. The shape was somewhat familiar, but she couldn't place her finger on it.

"Where are you taking me?"

Summer looked back to Robin, still appalled how this girl found out her name from nothing.

"How did you learn my name?" she asked, ignoring her introduction for a moment. "You shouldn't know who I am."

And she highly doubted that Robin had heard of the CEO. It was a completely different world, the world of business to the supernatural.

[attr="class","summer"]While Cade's smile did things that made her stomach flip, Summer challenged him with a pouting look, her cheeks puffing out as she pursed her lips at him.

"I know Mauville like the back of my hand. We're new settlers to Lilycove, dear."

As they approached the restaurant, she quirked her lips. "But you're not completely wrong. I'm not complaining about spending time with my dear husband, though."

She reached for his hand, her smaller one clinging to his large fingers as they entered the restaurant. A table for two, sat upstairs on the balcony in a quiet corner. She'd tip the hostess well for seating them there.

"Are you going to get your little companion something to eat? I'm not sure she and I have met yet. You've been gone on business for too long." Placing her elbows on the table and leaning her chin against her hands, Summer smirked.

"How are you going to treat me? I've been left alone for far too long." She truly missed him, each time he went away on a mission or hunt. The fact that she was able to capture his full attention now...

She basked in his presence as if he were her sun.

Summer was about to turn and leave, leave the girl behind and find a way out on her own. However, Robin decided to not heed the warning signals she gave and stepped close into her personal bubble. As she reached out a hand to grab at the girl's shirt and threaten to send her down the ravine again, she whispered.

Psychic?

"That's absurd. Psychics are a means to scam money from people. Surely-"

The conversation was put on hold as the marshadow announced its presence. Summer released Robin, lunging back to avoid being hit. From her side, a luxury ball was thrown.

"Surtur!"

She didn't realize that she would make matters worse, with the emboar's billowing blue flames causing an influx of shadows to appear.

"That thing? No. I've never seen anything like it before."

But in a matter of moments, she was brought back to the surface, a dhelmise launching from the crevice.

Yet the girl acted as this was as normal as breathing. What a freak.

Her eyes held an incredulous expression as Robin began to talk like it was the weather. "What do you mean, play with me?"

When Summer turned, a shadow that appeared in the same shape as Robin bounded over, with several other shadows following her. Some were human — others, four-legged or in anamorphic forms and shapes. Pokemon.

"Let's get away from this area. Come on. Move north." It wasn't a suggestion as it was a demand.

Summer would allow Surtur to gather for her. However, one particular crystal stood out to her. She picked it up, and she thought she could feel it vibrating with tera-energy.

[attr="class","summer"]When Summer opened her eyes, the scene had shifted. No longer was she in the rocket hideout. Rather, an unfamiliar stretch of land sprawled out in front of her.

She had gone through ultra space once before. This time, Cade Atreides wasn't with her.

The CEO breathed in, exhaling slowly as she took a few steps forward. To her east, she spotted several bridges, crumbling from the middle as they continued to elongate. And at that bridge...

A girl.

So Summer wasn't alone.

She walked forward. That's when she noticed that her shadow wasn't behaving in the ordinary. It lagged behind her, standing still while she moved forward, until it took off ahead of her, to the bridges.

"What are you doing here?" Summer asked Robin, curiosity in her voice.

"You disgusting vermin! I'll send Matagot out to eat you."

And the purple purugly slithered forward as her name was called, unsheathing her claws and growling lowly. She'd dodge beneath the table to attempt to catch one rat, shadow claws emerging from the dark.

They seemed to vanish with the lightning flash. And in that flash, Summer swore she saw him.

"What are you-"

But Killian Decker and the singular rattata disappeared.

With Surtur behind her, she wandered onto the wrapped porch, looking through shearing rain. "Decker! Where are you?"

"Cade? Is that you? I don't find this amusing!" Summer called out for her husband. However, Cade Atreides did not answer her. And she hadn't expected him to: as far as she was aware, he had been out on a mission, gone for a week at that moment.

The tapping not being her beloved, however... it was unsettling.

"Surtur."

The emboar appeared as if from thin air, standing at his master's side. Surtur illuminated the walkway with a blue glow, smoke billowing from his pig-like snout.

Tap tap- CRASH.

The window from the kitchen shattered. Summer's heart began to pound faster. Adrenaline threatened to take over, and she wordlessly commanded her Pokemon to step ahead of her and investigate.

Surtur squealed with surprise as the soaking rodents scattered around his feet. He stomped angrily, attempting to smush them into a pulp.

"Hold on!" She held up her hands, looking at the rattata. They seemed all too familiar, and they peered back at her with that same familiarity.

Until it clicked, and her blood ran cold.

"Where is he?" she demanded, a genuine fear crawling over her.

Summer peered momentarily away from the computer screen, her office dim in the dying sunlight. Only a small lamp at the edge of her desk and the fire in the hearth illuminated the room, casting a warm, yellow glow on the business woman's face.

Rain began to shroud her view outside, droplets tapping against the floor to ceiling windows.

Tap tap tap.

She scowled, trying to regain her focus on the work in front of her. She should've long since retired from the days work of reviewing the revenue and budgets presented to her for that quarter. Yet, she still remained at the large, mahogany desk with paper sprawled on either side of the computer.

Tap tap tap.

"What is with that incessant noise?" Summer snapped into the air. It didn't sound like the pitter-patter of rain against glass.

Rather, it sounded like something - or someone - was creating that noise.

Rising to her feet, Summer exited her office, descending the spiral staircase of her luxurious lilycove home. Yet, the tapping followed her.
