He doesn't answer. Doesn't seem to hear Morrigan speak. There's a sudden tilt. Like a click as Paxton's he snaps ever so slightly to the side like he'd heard the young girl before it snaps back and he continues forward. [break][break]

No sound comes from his mouth, and his eyes are half lidded, hazy in the low light. [break][break]

Without meaning to, without being able to stop, Paxton forgets what he's meant to do: PROTECT. He stumbles awkwardly down stone flooring into the tower, making his way straight to the sound of loud clicking. It grows louder and louder as does seemingly the song that had entranced him. in the soft light of sconces, the shining eyes of a robot doll, pink and grey and oh so pretty. One seems to let out a mechanical laugh opening its arms to their new prey. Others turn their attention to the interlopers following where the song hadn't quite taken effect. [break][break]

Joules, is panicked, beeping loudly all the way trying to wake her trainer and clicking at the other two, though they don't take to their coded messages as well as Paxton did. With nothing left, Joules smacks into their trainer, a pokeball dropping from their belt and releasing Connibear, the Mawile who looks around confused as Paxton keeps moving into danger. The Magearna begin to click and whirr using LOCK ON to the group as Paxton moved forward unable to stop despite how hard his body was shaking.

As people join him to help dislodge the POWER SPOT, sludge rushes forth out of it like a popped pimple. Hopper, from the distance, manages to redirect some of it back into the chasm that formed in the wake of their attacks away from Selena Desmarais, and Kazimir Wynter . But the drop stays behind. "Hopper, visuals!" he shouted as the little Porygon floated back, scanning down the hole before beeping something in code. His expression is unreadable due to behind hidden behind a thick helmet, so its quiet for a good minute before he relays what he can glean. "It's probably not a good idea...but I want to go in the hole. Hopper can't see much inside it." [break][break]

Alarms seem to go off. He begins to hear distant sounds of panic, and screaming. Hopper chirps and whirrs quickly moving back up higher. They beep and whizz erratically as they bob up down, left and right, counting more and more approaching enemy. [break][break]

Then he hears shouting form the young trainer on the Altaria. As Vanilla Kingsley announces the approaching threat, Paxton begins to try to formulate a plan. "Shit- is this place even stable enough to act as a shelter?!" he asked out loud, mostly to himself as he began looking aorund before there's a horrible, strangled cry. Something- something living crawls out of the chasm, covered ins sludge, half burnt but still alive. It moved erratically, limbs twisting and snapping strangely. [break][break]

The Charizard claws its way up before pushing upwards with forth, taking flight with pock marked wings and then crashing down. The earth rumbles, and Paxton swallows hard as it began to grow. "What the-" but Hopper is already at his side having TELEPORTED back. Hopper beeps loudly at the trio and attempts to TELEPORT its trainer and his comrades ( should they chose to go ) to safety in the less damaged portion of the stands. [break][break]

"Cassidy to all League personnel, currently 3 members including myself at the stadium handling the GIANT CHARIZARD. Will attempt to keep it from flying out of the stadium." he said already swapping out Hopper for his partner Baldwin. The Klefki jangled on the stand's guard rails eyeing up the kaiju-like threat. "Fire when ready." he said to the key chain as they took in a deep breath before beginning to cast FAIRY LOCK, the pink magical circle manifesting over and under the Charizard in an attempt to keep it from getting out of the stadium. "I suggest you don't spread yourselves out too thin. Stick together. Brace yourselves. You are nothing without your mental fortitude." he said, unable to put forth any sort of plan without more information form the skies. Not that he needs to. Surely there's more than capable rangers and officers to step up where they need to. He will put all his focus on felling the threat inside their city. "Gods, that thing is massive."

Shock and awe take over his expression, even if the helmet covers it all from sight. Calyrex's revelations change the circumstances of their plight and suddenly he is nervous- anxious about their situation. He alludes to months....so...how long would they be in the memory? How long away form home? "Wait- does that mean- will months pass outside this memory-" he began to sputter, mostly to himself, terrified somehow at the thought of losing time. First his body, now more years of his life? [break][break]

But he comforts himself with the thought that maybe this is just a dream. A joint dream. And inside dreams one often found themselves at a loss for time. Decades could pass in an instant, all feeling more natural than anything else in the world. Until you wake up with a start. That's what this is: a dream. And that thought, even if it isn't right, comforts him. [break][break]

But once Calyrex plucks the jewel out of its head, the scene changes. They're sent on their way. For who knows how long. Hammerlocke is in disarray. Sludge hands- monsters? infest the city and there's much to be studied and analyzed. Paxton takes priority over what he deems most important. A quick glance about and he deems that maybe the CASTLE STADIUM is the best place to bolster up, if only for that strange POWER SPOT and the sludge near it. He speaks into the comms for all League personnel. "Cassidy reporting in, I will be making it my priority to investigate the CASTLE STADIUM. Should I and others who join be able to clear it, we can move the people of Hammerlocke form whatever shelters they have now to something more easily defensible and keep them away from the city walls."

He give a glance at the peasantry along the way. "I make no promises about our efforts, but we are not here to harm you." he says. Paxton does not make an inspiring promises. He does not cut his own heart open and bleed for the people. But he gives a small nod to some that he is not there to make things worse. Beginning with soft words and strained pleasantries, he speaks to those he can approach to confer about the CASTLE STADIUM before making his way there. "Hopper, TELEPORT us there and see what we can gather form that glowing."

What he finds isn't any better than the rest of the city. What looks like layers and layers of dried toxin creates some sort of disgusting plug. "I guess...loosen it with PSYCHIC for now." he said, keeping clear of ooze and glancing around for extra help. If there's any sort of sign of what this is or where it came from, he's ignorant to it, spending most of his time circling the building for entry and seeing what he can glean from the locals before bringing it back to share. Occasionally, should he see anything useful for fortification elsewhere he may pipe up on comms. Though he stays fairly active on his own, thinking through problems on his own and preferring to listen to idle chatter instead of participating in it unless referenced directly.

She makes it on time, thankfully. Paxton doesn't bother to get up as the spectacle unfolded, her with her Toxitricity and their little ritual. He doesn't interrupt, taking a swig of a water bottle he's got hooked on his belt loops. As he and her pokemon pop a salute, that's when he finally deigns it a good time to get up. [break][break]

So he stands, rendering the salute back and then dropping it to dismiss hers. "Officer Concordas." he introduced. "I'll be handling your training for today. Don't get used to it." his tone is level, almost deadpan. Teal eyes flick over her form once before turning to the pokemon to give the same inspection. [break][break]

"We'll be dealing with tracking a herd of Gogoat. They tend to hand in grassy areas, especially near mountains or cliff faces but...due to extenuating circumstances these seem to have moved towards this route. Unfortunately, due to how they came many seem injured from crossing through territory and they're currently rather skittish and aggressive." [break][break]

He gestured before leading the way. "We need to calm them down somehow. As well as analyze to see if any BLIGHT (Elisabeth Fiorelli ) has cross onto them as well." he added.

"Hear they're also pretty calm with beginner riders." he added, nodding over to another pen where someone was riding a shiny Rapidash, blue flames flickering here and there as the horse pokemon sped aorund its pent and bucked the cowboy off. Though, they managed to stay on, much to its irritation.[break][break]

"Paxton. Paxton Concordas." he said after a moment, holding out his hand for a handshake.
