Aidan would nod in understanding, he had after all shared his story before. Just making sure I wasn't leaving and small loose ends when this gets reported, tis' all." His honesty could only get him so far after all, he had to make sure he would be clean and perfect from all angles.[break][break]

Zev's small mannerism had intrigued Aidan since the first time they had met, after all it had been the only way he could read the man in front of him. The breathing through his nose betraying his stoic and cold persona, he doubted Zev was trying to hide his own frustrations with the situation.[break][break]

Listening carefully as he took another small sip from the cooling tea. "I feel as betrayed as Rocket itself. If I knew anything I would have tried to stop him, you can trust me on that. After all, he was the only thing stopping Rocket from knocking on my door. My golden ticket that simply flew away." Which was true, having be pretty much grandfathered in meant he had the ability to do his own things unintended but that had all changed. [break][break]

"Now if you'd like me to join on a manhunt I'd be more than happy." He'd say down the mug. "Sinnoh might be a big place but there aren't many places that a man like him could hide." Would they really put Aidan up for such a task? No way. He just wanted to show some work and determination towards Rocket's goals.[break][break]

Reports had quickly filled everyone's tables and emails as Kyogre itself had been set loose into the the world once more. Jobs and mission had been set on both sides, rushing members of both factions rushed as a unit, scattering to their so given assignments and places. Nothing new for Aidan, another assignment, another day. [break][break]

The wind blowing upon his hair, the moist heat from the ocean clinging to his skin like glue, god he hated the heat. As their boat bounced and fought against the once calm waters that had become perilous due to the very temperamental Legendary that housed itself in the depths below. [break][break]

"YOU THINK WE'LL HAVE A LOT OF TROUBLE TODAY!?" Aidan would loudly speak, hand atop his brows trying to block the sun and any random spillage of sea water. Awaiting an answer from his newly met partner in crime, kepler brueshaber. They had been given the not all important job of keeping the search zone safe and clean from nosy League members. What in the slapstick comedy was going on here!? Had Aidan walked into a black and white movie set? Was dis one of the long lost Disney movies? With the many crazy things that happens on the daily he wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.[break][break]

Watching everything unfold right before his eyes was like being locked in a fever dream, the muscled elf, the pokemon pretty much being smashed into pieces by one move, Aidan's own mouth pretty much hitting the ground at the thought of killing it. The substitution ninjutsu making more and more sense by the second. "What the...?" The binary codes flying across his confused mind.[break][break]

He watched everything from the sidelines, somehow safe from the craziness of the icy move, safe from the mentally unstable universe had had walked into, such was the price for a good sale around Christmas and it was time for him to dive head first. One of his earrings starts glowing in synchronicity with Gengars own Earring. [break][break]

The Bouncy Castle Gengar trying to stop the moving ice cyclone with a good ol' HYPNOSIS it should give them a small opportunity to recuperate and think of an actual plan. Perhaps taking the metallic pokemon by surprised due to ramps created by
the Stone Edge.[break][break]

As Gengar fought his own life Aidan would join the two other males looking at each with puzzled eyes. "Why are we shirtless...? Fuck it." Aidan would first question it but then would quickly remove his top and throwing it aside, a chill quickly running up his spine. "Sow what we doing here lads?" Aidan would shout towards Kazimir Wynter and Tempest Quinn . The Rise up shirtless team?[break][break]

How were they to explain this to literally anyone!? They weren't that bad, they could have been at a much worse state, was what Aidan would think like if he hadn't noticed that he was still ass touching the ground and the planet spinning. Three pokeballs shaking in front of him, or was it only one, only time would tell. [break][break]

"You're fucking right! That dream must have been the true reality and they're trying to bring us back!" He'd hiccup at least 4 times in that simple sentence. Watching Rowan start kung-fu fighting like he had walked through a Tarountula web, it was beautiful, like watching the sunset from a great mountain.[break][break]

Slowly tumbling up by the great help of a firm wall near him. "You know... Ugh... I think we need more." If they drank enough to forget the night then it never happened, right? It wasn't every night that a rocket and a league member walked into a bar, there was a joke there somewhere. [break][break]

"Or..." A hiccup. "Oooooor.. Wefindsomething weird to do." He'd point towards the kung fu master in front of him, as if whatever came out of his lips was the greatest idea in the face of Hoenn.[break][break]

Her words bouncing around his head, questions echoing and the sense of familiarity still pecking and gnawing at his mind. 'have we?' Aidan frowns as if trying to look through a fogged up window, the answer he wanted barely out his vision. [break][break]

Was his aging brain really finally getting the better of him, was he simply confusing her with someone else? Or was the work with Rocket finally making him feel paranoid about everyone. "I'm really sorry. You just really remind of someone I once worked with." 'work' really was the only word he could use to describe what he did.[break][break]

"Don't think anything bad of it. She was someone I respected, someone who would likely teach me to be a better person. She was pretty great." He'd say looking down, a saddening feeling swelling inside him. He had never really found out what happened.[break][break]

"Once again. I apologize, it was probably just a mistake." Perhaps he just missed someone he could trust, perhaps they should keep going before his brain collapses on itself from overthinking.[break][break]

Ah, the holidays. One of the greatest times of the year, loud and obnoxious music, tired parents and hyper-active children. Oh, the joys of the holidays. Aidan had only left his humble dark and damp abode to partake in the many sales that just happened because of the holidays, otherwise he would have stayed a home like the young Grinch he was.[break][break]

Taking a sip from a warm cup of Staryubucks, the sounds of joy suddenly becoming the sounds of disgust and fear, something he was more used to. Taking a peek from his cup he watched the commotion break right before his eyes. What a interesting Christmas show, perhaps if something like this happened to every Santa he would be more willing to come see Santa. Alas, he still had a bit of cop in him and it was time to take action.[break][break]

"Move over please. Thank you. Out the way." Shoving and pushing himself through the ever panicking crowd, the man with his shadow dark enough for two. Coming to what he would have been the vip place if this really was a show. Watching people fumble the... Metallic toy? Why on Arceus name was a metal Delibird puking all over? No time to ask, only time to react. Pulling someone who was trying to escape and using it as a shield when the spray of bile came his way "Oooops sorry! My bad!" He'd say innocently as if he had no idea what he had just done.[break][break]

Pointing towards the pokemon who was trying to feed everyone as if they were all baby-birds. The shadow under Aidan would move as fast as it could heading towards the Iron Bundle with closed fists. SUCKER PUNCH A Gengar aimed it's attack towards it's opened beak hopefully getting the pokemon to close it's mouth and making the bile faucet take a break.[break][break]

The more Aidan payed attention to the whole scene the more comedic things became, the Furret trying to fight the bile demons, the Vaporeon dancing on stage, the hulking figure trying to grapple with the metallic pokemon and a child trying to get other to safety? "What is going on here!?" Aidan would question the world loudly.[break][break]

Aidan would nod in deep agreement once Rowan mentioned that anything would better than their last trip here, it was true. Different than stories and tales about drunk fun escapades, their last time here was bordering on nightmarish but he had a better feeling about this round. Acknowledging Elise's interesting way of taking his advice with another nod, at leas he knew someone would listen to him.[break][break]

It didn't take a genius detective to figure out that both of his companions already knew each other, better this way, kept things short and fast, less time with their mouth moving meant more time with their legs moving instead.[break][break]

As Elise found her way forward finding an interesting broken seal Aidan remembered one small problem they should try to avoid from last time. "Try to stay close together, the mist is confusing..." He'd say looking back towards Rowan who should have been there but the mist had already enveloped their surroundings and Aidan had no vision of his two fellow adventurers.[break][break]

"Well... Fuck." Perhaps he should have been a little faster on warning Elise. He did have faith they would meet up once again after all getting lost was always part of a small adventure.[break][break]

"Fine by me." The answer left Aidan's mouth with heavy assumptions that Zev would mind him doing his own while they talked, after all he could exactly get away, sure he could escape this place but how long would that last? Days, hours? Maybe even less, Rocket was powerful and they could find them anywhere. [break][break]

The slow and methodical steps of making tea, one could easily judge someone's true nature by checking if they added the sugar before or after the water. Aidan in the other added no sugar.[break][break]

The only sound breaking through the silence was the clings of the spoon and the mug, followed by a short sip and a sigh. There was no reason for him to lie, it helped calm the nerves.[break][break]

"The last I spoke to him was at Mt. Pyre... The day I was conscripted me into joining Rocket." Another sip was taken. "Haven't heard from the man ever since, always expected a message or a call." The delusions of grandeur from a man stuck in his own past. "If you want our whole background, I'd be glad to tell that story." Zev's no nonsense way of life was something that Aidan could respect so he was trying to keep it short, to not piss off someone above his paygrade.[break][break]

The more he heard and the more he paid attention to the girl leading him to his missions destination the more the familiarity birds pecks on his brain worms. This girl, this friendly person still somehow felt familiar to him. The small simple energy she carried herself with, the mannerisms, it was like Aidan had met her before. [break][break]

"Then it's a deal! After a talk with the boss you'd probably catch me carrying something around then." A small smile pushing through his stoic and bored expression, along with thoughts that this right here could have been his life, helping others and making small differences in random lives.[break][break]

He'd snap back once she mentioned that she hadn't been here long. Small puzzles finally being filled up and popping about inside Aidan's mind, replacing the ideas of his alternate self. "Sorry once again but could we take a pause?" He'd say taking a small pause in their walking. "We've met before haven't we?" Was that a strange question for a moment and place like this? Absolutely. But it was important for Aidan to find out.[break][break]

"And I don't mean meeting in a market or at the mall..." He'd take his hat off, so real reason to hide anything, he meant no harm. "There's just something about you... I can't quite put my finger on it but I know it for sure." He didn't know for sure. Such a great ex-detective he had become.[break][break]

For once in a life time, Aidan had decided to take a small break in his, there was no investigations, no missing persons request and best of all no Rocket mission. No better time to to visit one of the most peaceful towns in Hoenn.[break][break]

Making his way through the more empty streets, still trying to keep a low profile. After all his main goal had been to stay away from hustle and bustle that Slateport had always been, freeing himself from the noise and buzz of people. A simple man making his way to a peaceful afternoon, his only company was his shadow that happened to be dark enough for two.[break][break]

Walking past an alley before his ears are assaulted by a strange metallic sound, a type of screech he had never heard before. Taking a step back to stand in front of the alley trying to figure out what on earth was making the noise. Taking a slow step towards the direction he thought the noise had come from.[break][break]

"ReD ooooOOOOrrrrR BluuuuE?" A strange voice echoed through the buildings, almost shaking Aidan's bones. "Blue? I guess..." Was this a prank? Was someone trying to play tricks on him, there was only one way to figure it out, sadly Aidan didn't exactly want to do it alone.[break][break]

A simple apartment, a window blocked by a curtain, a simple couch, a tv that might not even be working, not even Aidan knew. The newly Rocket member had received a message in one of his burner phones, he had hoped it was a mission but sadly he wasn't that lucky. Readying himself for a visit to his own home, an uneasy feeling as if his whole simple civilian facade was read to crumble down.[break][break]

The knock at the door finally telling him it was time. Opening the door Aidan couldn't help but smile at the unsettling sight in front of him, someone who in pure silence somehow asked for respect stood in front of him. Words that weighted him down, dragging him further into the depths of uncertainty. "Harcourt. Please come in."[break][break]

Moving away from the door frame as if welcoming a friend to your home. "This might take a while, would you perhaps like a cup of tea?" Last time he had someone at his door requesting to talk about Martín del Mar was right before his life had collapsed for the first time. [break][break]

"Please ask away. I'm no longer under oath to keep secrets about him." Aidan would say turning towards his kitchen and turning on a kettle filled with water. Perhaps trying to grasp a sense of normality before his nerves broke down.[break][break]
