She could leave. She could stand up and abandon all of it. Most people would expect her to, given her sour personality. But, see, bitch as Fae may be, she actually likes her own pokémon quite a lot, and it's obvious to her that Carrie is having one hell of a time with all of this.

So, with an overdramatic sigh, she flops back on the snow, looking up at the sky while her Froslass continues to merrily work on her snowy sculpture. The actress does not interrupt her pokémon's work. She settles for gazing at the clouds.

"I'd kill for some hot chocolate right now..." Fae whispers to herself, caught up in the moment.

Carrie actually does all the work, which isn't particularly surprising. It reminds Fae of what one of her director friends had told her once: about how Froslass like to lure men to her den, freeze them, and keep them as décor. That had been the moment she had decided she wanted to have a Froslass one day, and apparently, they also like snowmen.

So, Fae lets her pokémon have her fun, and as she sits on the snow, she takes off her sunglasses and the scarf, having a look around. There are people she recognizes, like reporter BARNABY FINCH, who's in the middle of a snowball fight with whom she assumes must be his boyfriend or something. There's Callan Young, Gunner Graves (whose name she still doesn't know, but who is also apparently is pretty close with former-reporter and councilwoman PENELOPE LIVY), and hell, even luka chêne, that one ranger girl she had met when helping out at the Fallarbor farms. Is she among the organizers? Interesting. Maybe, if she's in the right mood, she'll go say 'hi' later.

For now, she just sits by her hardworking Froslass and the snowboy, silently appreciating this winter wonderland that seems as if one of the only good things born of Hoenn's apocalyptic chaos.

Once upon a time in Unova’s version of Hollywood, during a shoot, one of the makeup artists assigned to her had told Fae that a man checking his wristwatch constantly is one of the biggest red flags ever. ’It’s like he’s saying he has no time for you.’ had been the claim. What does Fae herself think of it? Well, that it doesn’t really matter. It’s not like she wants this stranger’s time. And yet, for some reason, that memory had come to mind.

As if the metaphorical bell ringing to save her from overthinking all of this, it’s at that moment that she notices the strangest of pokémon flying towards them.
[break][break]
”...What the hell is that?” She squints as if to get a better look at it, and it’s then that she makes the decision to pull herself off the rock where she had been sitting next to Gunner Graves. ”I swear you Hoennians are like magnets for weird. I better get going before that starts saying something about me.”

Is that a joke?

It could be interpreted as much, at least, especially since she turns to give him one last look, and when she does so, a wicked smirk tugs at her lips:

”It’s a shame, you were kind of hot.” Fae feels no real shame, that much is painfully obvious. She then nods towards the unfamiliar bird pokémon. ”You should catch it so you have something cool to show mommy and daddy. See you around, lover boy.”

And with that, she steps away to leave, her Mightyena being quick to follow along with the Umbreon it had befriended. Fae leans down to offer a hand to their new companion, then petting it once before continuing down the path.

Farther along, they approach a stream where a Carvanha swims, and both Cicero and the currently nameless Umbreon are quick to deal with it. She throws a pokéball almost by instinct.

”Ugh… Now I’ll need to find names for you both, don't I?”

A prince, an actress, and a little café that isn’t nearly as inconspicuous as they both appear to be pretending it is. Why is she here? Why had she agreed to this? It’s mostly curiosity, admittedly, and the part that isn’t curiosity is due to the fact that to her Remiel Calcifet is at least mildly interesting. The good looks don’t hurt either.

However, that opinion might be changing.

”A prince who likes period dramas. Isn’t that a little cliché?” A sunlit gaze meets that of her companion, a single eyebrow being raised. It’s almost funny, really, but then again, Fae Madden’s own career is testament to the fact that she’s versed in period dramas as well. ”What was your favourite part?”

But, it’s then that the conversation turns to her reasons to be in Hoenn, and her attention shifts from Remiel to the drink before her. Hot chocolate, topped with whipped cream, perhaps far from what most people would expect from someone like her: tattooed, leather jacket-clad, and not giving even a hint of a smile.

”We were working on a shoot when the dome appeared, so I didn’t really have much of a choice.” A sigh, yet it’s calmly that she takes a sip from her drink, licking whipped cream off her lips before looking at him once more. ”My sister lives here, though. Figured I’d stay to be with her after everything that happened.”

Family is important to her. Or, well, Hailee Jacobs is.
[break][break]
The ding! of a text message interrupts before she can further elaborate, but her phone is screen-down on the table, and despite how she may act, Fae isn’t rude enough to text while having a conversation with someone she just met. For now, the truth is ignored.

A slight yet rare smile tugs at the lips of Fae Madden, but it lies hidden beneath a thick woolen scarf. Along with it, she wears a stylish fur cap, as black as the rest of her ensemble. It's as if she doesn't care much if people were to recognize her, because it's true: she doesn't.

Winter has always been Fae's favourite season, and while making snowmen is something she had thought should be left as a fond memory of childhood days with Hailee Jacobs, maybe it's the whole 'having just survived a goddamn apocalypse' that puts her in enough of a good mood to indulge the Froslass that keeps summoning POWDER SNOW, causing snowflakes to perpetually fall around the "disguised" actress.

Eyebrows raise, forming perfect arches, for it’s far from the answer she expects. When talking about the dome, most people talk about things they’d like to do once it's gone; the things they miss, the places they wish they had gone to, and those they wish to see again. This man, on the other hand, is content.

I had to learn to play chess recently, I don’t think I’m very good at it.” For a role at a certain chess-centric miniseries set in the 80s that people had been obsessed with for a few months. Had it made it it's personal goal to annoy Lipschitz? He hadn’t even done anything to it! Is it because he’s so much cuter that the ugly mushroom-obsessed bug is jealous? Understandable, honestly, but that’s no reason to just keep bothering him. And, why is it so obsessed with its damn mushrooms? The way the Purrloin glares up at the Paras almost seems to say ”What’s your damage?”

Pokémon as he is, Lipschitz doesn’t know the first thing about Paras and their strange relationship with tochukaso mushrooms. It wouldn’t make him any less annoyed, of course, but at least he would understand.

The sight of the Poochyena brings back memories, although it looks nothing like what Cicero had as a pup. Its fur is matted, dirty, and clearly too long for the pokémon’s own good. It snarls, low and hesitant.
