A ruinous bolt of thunder fries the fish from above, only to be reflected back at its wielder through psychic mirrors. The thunderbolt hits Argon hard, it hurts the ghost but it doesn't put him down for the haul as he shakes off the char and starts moving through the air to angle for the next attack, ready for the counter now as he throws another furious thunderbolt at the Milotic to finish the job.

But Xenon could feel that tingle on the back of her neck again, a future approaching that augured a rapidly approaching disaster. She had seen Shalin dive into the ocean to avoid the lightning that struck her Pokemon, but she hadn't resurfaced still. The human body could only stay underwater for so long without oxygen, especially in high stress scenarios such as this where the heart was working in overtime due to adrenaline. She takes a deep breath in and dives under after Shalin, releasing Rhodium into the ocean and searching for the girl as its anti grav thrust set to work. It was slower underwater than it was in the sky, but it could still operate with 67% efficiency, spotlights emanating from its eyes as the two search for the hiding Shalin while the battle rages on overhead.

So she was something of a conformist then? Xenon nods carefully as she kicks her feet up onto the desk, crossing her arms behind her head and staring down the old woman evenly. "Not the worst way of looking at things. We're always exactly where we're meant to be, because that's where we chose to be. I don't mind that kind of future, but I don't think the world liked your answer very much."

The figurehead stands, the invisible bodies applaud, the world breaks as a thousand thousand eyes in the darkness open and bare witness to the fools who would try to assert themselves as part of a false reality. Their existence in this world of code was unnatural, to try and fit into this kind of existence was invitation to be deleted from existence, bytes of data flecking off their bodies as the corrective force of the world attempts to impose itself upon them.

"Well its only to be expected. Some places simply can't stand ultramodernists like ourselves, try to change the world and the world will fight back. Its in cases like these where you have to learn how to strike back even harder~" Xenon's feet rise from the table and slam into the ground as she stands upright, her hand flying towards her belt and releasing the sole pokemon she had brought into this datascape. In a storm of zeroes and ones it appears, the mechanical monstrosity evolved from the common Hydreigon, the weapon of the future that would blast through this pathetic firewall. Rhodium opens its triplet heads and roars with the fury of the future, the world around them breaks apart as it exerts its computational power over the RKS System, and once more they are flying to their next destination.

Anyways, Caterpie guy. "Yeah he's the Caterpie guy. I think he's mad cause I kicked his Caterpie over a fence or something. Or he's in love with me. Which is honestly kind of embarrassing, imagine falling in love with someone who kicked your Caterpie over the fence. Can't imagine admitting to something that pathetic." Xenon rambles on as Howard sends out his Pokemon, both of them doing some dumb Leech Seed shit that would ultimately have no effect in the grand scheme of things. "You have absolutely zero taste huh? Fuck me man, I gotta do all the fucking work around here huh." The woman grumbles as she unclips her own Pokeball and releases her Iron Jugulis, the mechanical dragon letting out a tinny roar as it charges in between the Celesteela and the Brambleghast to clash with the fire blast with triplet gouts of fire erupting forth from its maw.

Annnnnnnd Caterpie guy is on deck now. Awesome, wonderful. "Is anyone gonna shoot this guy? We have guns guys, I know you're grunts but you can obviously tell something bad is going on now right?" Xenon shouts as she looks from left to right at the various assembled grunts who were... okay they're working on keeping the boat afloat in the storm, that's fine. She might be irredeemably insane but even she can respect the fact that these low level grunts were probably the only thing in between her and the cold, dark, and stormy ocean. "Ok first off, don't need to hear about your weird bone for me, if you wanna get off to me kicking your ass then that's your business, not mine. Second off, get the fuck off my ship, you came here and decided to start a problem, not me." She caps this off as she unclips another Pokeball from her belt and throws it in front of the Brambleghast once more, a Glimmora flopping onto the deck and drinking up every ounce of that Sludge Wave it could with disturbing glee. Not even a second afterwards a set of rocks materialize into the air as Bismuth fires off that Ancient Power at the Nagandel to knock it out of the sky, the battle well and truly on even in the midst of this insane storm.

Good reactions from a middle tier evolution, even considering that that was a dragon it was impressive that she managed to dodge with such a limited window. The left head on Rhodium lights up as it spots the pulse of draconic energy heading their way, the reactor within their steel frame hums to life as Steel energy builds and explodes outwards, crashing into the Dragon Pulse and utterly negating it in midair. "Woo! That was a fun opening salvo, I think you're the first person today who hasn't immediately been shot down and presumably killed upon impact with the ground! Good job good job, you've now become the record holder everyone else is gonna have to beat for survival time!" Xenon cheers as she claps for Luka loudly, her Iron Jugulis all the while simply letting out a deep bass growl from its speakers.

"Though I have to ask while you're alive and kicking, on a scale from one to ten how surprised were you by my approach? I'm trying to gather data to figure the best way to instantly kill people in the sky, so far I've got a data pool of zero because everyone else instantly died so your answer is really important here." The woman seems completely and utterly serious about this question as she swipes at a little tablet device she has mounted on Rhodium's central neck, ready to type while she looks at Luka expectantly. "Also have we met somewhere? I don't actually care where or when, I've just got a niggling feeling that you annoy me in some manner and I'm not sure why."

Wow, absolutely incredible argument from Howard there. Not in how convincing he was, but rather in how he knew exactly what to say to piss Xenon off even more than she already was. "Historical pieces are stupid pieces of garbage worth less than the fucking gum stuck to the bottom of my boot, at least the gum can stick to something. People who obsess over history are pedantic assholes who don't know how to walk forwards without stumbling over every fucking pebble in their way, so they instead choose to stand in one place and look backwards while making up some asinine bullshit about 'historical pieces' and 'the importance of our past.'"

Xenon knew exactly who the new Admin was, but the fact of the matter was that she truly just could not give less of a shit about the man's status or importance within the organization. The only thing she respected in this world was strength, and for now Howard hadn't given her any reason to believe he might be any stronger than her like the other admins had so far. So she would continue whining, complaining, and otherwise just being a pain in the ass until either something interesting happened or he tried to push her over the edge of the boat. She would probably enjoy that, she'd take it as an opportunity to see if her punch was strong enough to break through both the mask and his teeth.

Xenon's bad mood seems to utterly dissipate as she spots the Celesteela flying in their direction, the sight of an Ultra Beast bringing a smile to her face as she hits the railing and leans over, whipping a pair of binoculars from around her neck and zooming in on the steel princess and her rider. And would you look at fucking that, it's... well she didn't know the guy's name, but she's pretty sure she kicked his ass a few times! The League ranger and his mount fly up in front of the boat, and by god Xenon is the first to run to the bow of the ship and wave up at the guy with a crazed smile plastered all over her features. "Hey there Caterpie guy!!! You here to get your ass kicked again?!" The way she asks doesn't even sound like a taunt, it's a genuine question. She can't really think of any other reason the guy would seek her out in the middle of one of the worst storms in Hoenn history. Unless it was love. But god, that would be fucked up even by her standards, imagine falling in love with someone who tried to chop your testicles off. Fucked up.

"Well I don't mean to brag, but I am something of a party animal~ The fun doesn't stop till the drinks run dry, you know what I'm saying?"

Maybe it was a bit too forward, but already she finds herself wrapping an arm around his body and lightly gripping his side, the space between the two virtually nil as she entirely scoots in and takes the drink from his hand, raising it up to her own lips and downing the remaining whisky in one long swig. She lets out a satisfied gasp as she finishes the glass, a light drop of the amber ambrosia trailing down her chin and dripping onto alabaster skin, trailing down the curvage of her breast until finally dispersing and disappearing into her cleavage as she makes direct eye contact with Rowan and... ah, damnit. "You don't swing the other way do you? I put up a nice show just now, would be pretty embarrassing if I did all that just to realize my audience is tuned into a different channel."

Her eyes open once more in the simulated universe, the void presses down on her as she takes a seat at the dining table of her father's restaurant. It's all just ones and zeroes and zeroes and ones, but it's precisely because it's all just a game that she loves to play in such a way. Xenon turns to her left and eyes the newbie Grunt who she was sent to accompany, she knows what she wants to do in response to the offer given, but her choices and thoughts aren't Exactly what she's trying to discern in this moment as she examines the young woman sitting beside her.

A dozen invisible bodies surround them, she can feel them breathing over her shoulder, but they hide themselves well for what they are. She wouldn't be surprised if Marguerite couldn't feel them, but that too is something that Xenon wants to know before she dedicates herself fully to this endeavor. Could this girl find the right path through the sea of imaginary numbers? Would she stumble blindly upon the right answer, or would she carefully take one step after another in a calculated plan? "What do you think girl? Where does the future lie, and where does it end?"

Another water type, another obstacle to overcome, but at least now the boat was done shaking and her useless ass subordinates could get enough of a bead on Shalin and Levy to start shooting again. Bullet seeds pepper the ocean's surface as the Rocket grunts aboard the ship start to fire on the duo, putting more pressure on her to either dive back down or stay on the move while Xenon tried to put herself together enough to finish this fight definitively. She breaks surface and takes in a deep gasp of air as Terbium operates on instinct and attacks the Milotic, utilizing hit and run tactics with Dragon Rush to strike at the serpent from every angle she can.

But a dragon meant to fly the skies can only go so fast when constrained by the deep blue, a piercing azure beam of frost strikes the Garchomp from a bad angle and freezes half of her body solid, Xenon cries out as she recalls the dragon and throws out another Pokeball to continue the fight, this releasing Argon up into the air where he could rain down Thunderbolts from above. "Fuck, shit, fuck!" She curses under her breath as she clips her Pokeball back to her belt and brushes against her remaining option, if her oldest friend couldn't finish this job then it would have to fall to the avatar of the future to finish things in the end...

The screech of metal against metal is followed by the clatter of her sword against the deck of the ship, blade kicked out of her grip as Kazimir scrambles away upon seeing how the tide turns against him. The Gyarados collapses onto the deck and releases Argon, he too falls faint as the crunch of the mighty dragon's fangs catches up to him. All the while her own Pheromosa was taking an involuntary dive down into the ocean after missing her High-Jump Kick and crashing straight through the deck of another Rocket ship, it was time to prioritize as her enemy makes his escape and dives down into the brine. Ultimately he was an afterthought, a boat was worth more than one kill.

"I'll see you again Caterpie boy!" Xenon shouts after him as she rushes back into her ship, recalling her Pokemon and issuing orders for the Rocket grunts all around to get their shit together and get to repairing that rapidly sinking boat. Already Kazimir is becoming little more than a fading memory, but perhaps this time with just a little more staying power after the performance of that Ultra Beast. Nothing stuck out in her mind quite like an exotic species that transcends the past. Maybe this one would be one of the faces worth remembering, even if the name wasn't so important.

The sound of a foreign voice immediately puts her on guard, a knife slides out from her sleeve and she spins around to toss the blade straight through Dorian's head. It's good that she's so quick to recognize the Rocket member when she does, stopping her swing just a nanosecond before the knife would have left her fingers and planted itself straight in the man's grey matter. Though she seems almost annoyed that she did stop herself now that she's processed exactly what he said, being even reminded of where she was has already put her in a bad mood.

"If something old shows up then I'll rip it apart. And as soon as I find what I'm looking for, I'll do the same thing to these shitty ruins." The knife slides back into her sleeve and she crosses her arms behind her head, turning away from Dorian and walking deeper inside in search of the mist. "So what, you followed me in here just to get a nice look at my ass? It's great yeah, but a look is all you're getting." The ultramodernist remarks as her Scolipede slices a notch into the wall with her tail, a visual guide for the Pokemon to remember even if her owner would never acknowledge it herself.

But she does seem to take just a bit more care around the pressure plates and traps in the halls now that she's actually got someone watching her, even if she's trying her hardest to look like she doesn't care as she looks up at the ceiling and smoothly steps around the oddly colored tiles and barely visible tripwires.

She doesn't believe anything she says, even a woman as obdurate and unsympathetic as Xenon can taste bullshit on a line that desperate. But just because she's not genuine doesn't mean she's not convincing. If one could get a clear view of Xenon in the mid-air fracas they could almost see the gears in her head turning as she processes this line of thinking, to cause such a splash on both sides of the war between League and Rocket would be a very nice notch on her belt. But more importantly than that, it was a New experience, something novel and interesting even if she couldn't see herself sticking with the goody two shoes in the long run.

And it even seems to buy Mika that precious second of breathing room that she so desperately longed for as Xenon signals for Rhodium to pull back a tad, the combination of a decisive strike on the Hydreigon and the decisive strike on Xenon's ego convincing her to let up just a little. If she were the type to look back in hindsight, she might have viewed this as a mistake as the League trainer's Hydreigon lets out a furious screech of pain from its triplet heads, a shockwave of Hyper Voice slamming directly into scientist and machine as a punishment for this grave error.

The Iron Jugulis lets out a static screech, the energy in the air around them crackles dangerously as LED eyes sharpen and focus in on the screaming beast assaulting its auditory processors, it angles its anti-gravity propulsion ports at the duo and a violent Hurricane rips forth towards them as Rhodium tries to knock them out of the sky entirely.

It is as this happens that the battle below the cloud line breaks through into their battlefield, Xenon's Gengar cackling as he bursts up through the cloud cover and throws a violent Thunderbolt at the pursuing Talonflame, more than a few singes present on his ghostly shell yet none of his mirth lost as he brings the battle back up high.
