Having made it to the Fortree Gym, Olliver couldn't help but survey the area. The various other racers had been gathering in and the crowd had begun to completely fill in. The number of people within the area had been.. far more than he had anticipated. It was almost anxiety provoking, being surrounded by this many individuals. Almost.

The fact that this had been getting essentially livestreamed to the world as well had been yet another thing that he hadn't quite anticipated. Whilst there were those that would likely never come to recognize him, if he wasn't careful,  it was entirely likely that people would remember him in the future. That having been said, Olliver was going to need to take things a bit more cautiously here. "If only I thought of wearing a helmet or something.."

These were the kinds of thoughts that Olliver couldn't be having right now. The more anxious he got, the worse things would play out for him. That having been said, Olliver would take the time to compose himself for putting on a stoic face and calling forth his Metagross. "I'm not sure how things are going to go out here but.. We've got this buddy." A soft pat would be offered to the metallic creature as Olliver had quickly reminded himself of the rules.

Given that there wasn't really too many people that he had known here, aside from perhaps Josh and Elise, Olliver would simply remain beside his Metagross and would wait for things to begin. He couldn't afford to out his relations here and now. No.. Not unless they came to him first. As such, unless anyone had come to speak with him before the match begun, Olliver would remain beside his Pokemon before ultimately mounting it for the race.

Despite the fact that he hadn't been a member of Team Rocket for all that long, Olliver had been getting assigned to some rather interesting tasks. Whether it be due to the surrounding topics that they had all gone over during their team wide meeting or whether it was just dumb luck and perfect timing, Olliver wasn't sure. Either way, at the moment he had been out with one of the few individuals that had reigned at the top of the rankings. Zev Harcourt; Rocket Beast. And their objective? To further research the time-space distortions.

Just as Zev would go on to communicate with Olliver about what he had wished of him, Olliver would dutifully perform. Without a second though, Olliver would call forth his Metagross from its pokeball. It was larger than the average Metagross, sitting at about ten feet all around. "Right." Once that much had been settled, Olliver would follow directly behind Zev, hoping to keep up. Perhaps, if he was lucky, he could see some rather interesting things with Zev.

From atop his Metagross, Olliver would offer his companion a curt nod. He hadn't quite been planning on coming out here on his own so it was a good thing that there was someone willing to come with him. "No worries. I just figured that this kind of thing is better with two people as opposed to one."

The fact that Gwylim had continuously had his Hatenna making use of its psychic abilities to progress the pair of them up the mountain had been something that had caught Olliver's eye. He wasn't going to speak on it for the moment but the fact that it intrigued him was true nonetheless. Especially given that Hatenna was the baby phase of this creature's evolutionary line. If this Hatenna was capable of utilizing such vast psychic strengths this early on.. Well it would make for a decent test subject.

"While I appreciate the courtesies that you are offering to me, I can assure you that we can discuss who catches what when the time comes. I figure that it's easier that way. All that I ask is that you allow me to focus in on primarily psychic Pokemon." A soft shrug would then be offered to the man. "If you'd like, I'd even be willing to allow you to focus in on the ghost Pokemon. Just depends on what we encounter, really."

Yet another nicknamed Pokemon.. Even with the Pokemon that is closest to him, that being his Metagross, Olliver hadn't considered naming his Pokemon. He had more or less understood why people had done so but.. It was just something that he didn't really have the need to do. If anything, they were simply to be denoted to as either their true name or their number.. Is this something that he should consider partaking in in the future?

At the offer of information, Olliver would disregard the fact that his Indeedee had broken free of her pokeball. If this was any other instance, he might be a bit annoyed by it, but not in this moment. No, his focus was entirely on the information that she might be able to provide. Information from a Galarian noble.

Just based off of his usual topics, Olliver wasn't sure if there was much that he could ask her for. As for the larger ones.. Would she even consider revealing such information?? Rather than jump straight into it, the researcher would decide to test the waters a bit. "Well there are a couple of things that I am currently focusing on.. The first would be the link between psychic Pokemon and why they might be interested in Mt. Pyre. I mean.. It's a bit odd to me that they seem to flock there, given the overwhelming presence of graves and ghosts that tend to linger."

Scratching idly at the back of his head, Olliver's gaze would then turn towards Elise's Sprigatito. "Other than that, I've been hoping to turn my head towards mythical Pokemon and things of that nature. For example.. What makes them as powerful as they are?? Why are there so few of them?? The answers must be lying out there somewhere.. I just need to try and learn as much about them as I can for such a thing. You wouldn't happen to know about either of those these in particular, would you?? Even the smallest bit of information can prove useful."

Elise Calcifet

Supposedly home to a slew of Psychic and Ghost type Pokemon, Olliver had decided that he should head out to explore Mt. Pyre. Now this was a place in which the graves of Pokemon rest inside, so he could understand the Ghost Type Pokemon that might be lingering about. But the Psychic Pokemon?? While they were his primary reason for coming here, he had simply wished to know what it is about this place that draws them here.

From his understanding, it was quite possible that the psychic Pokemon were drawn to the artifacts that supposedly lie at the top of the mountain. Either that or they are simply feeding on the raw emotions that the mountain itself practically provides at this point.

Not quite sure on what the reason might be, Olliver would head up the mountain and see if he could not only piece this together but perhaps catch a few Pokemon along the way. Rather than walk up the mountain, he would make use of his Giant Metagross. Given that it was ten feet all around and had the capability of using Magnet Rise, it was no trouble for him to start making his way up the top.

At present, Olliver had been standing just outside of the door to one of the Underbosses private offices. One of the personal secretaries of Lulu Flint had managed to send out a call to Olliver previously, letting him know that his appointment time was coming up and that Miss Flint had been willing to see him. Once he had arrived, she had directed him towards her office and simply told him to knock. And so he had.

Olliver would be lying if he were to say that he wasn't a little worried right now. Not only was she one of the Underbosses but she had been a Rocket Researcher of great renown. The rumors had stated that she was currently working on research pertaining to dreams and the interdream zone. These were things that he himself hadn't fully understood.. but he had understood Pokemon. And if he could assist her in any regard, then at least he'll have served his purpose as a Rocket Grunt.

Lulu Flint

Thankfully it hadn't been all that long before the presentation had begun. A hologram of Hoenn would burst into view beside Lulu, one of the many underbosses, and she would begin to speak on it. This was likely to be important information.. That said, Olliver had decided to keep notes on everything that was said in a rather outdated PDA. This thing couldn't even connect to the internet any longer and as such, was the best thing for such notes.

Much like he had anticipated, given everything that has been going on with these Ultra Beasts and the like, the topic of this discussion was going to turn towards the multiversal aspect of things. While he was excited to have gotten that bit right, he would be lying to himself if he were to say that he wasn't worried about the ramifications of so many worlds imploding in on themselves like this.

One would hope that, given everything, the world might not have to turn to war. Unsurprisingly though, that was exactly what the case might have been at this rate. Lulu was right. It was entirely possible that the League might attempt to weaponize these deity-like Pokemon. Hell, they could just as well attempt this, but it seems like only the Rocket side of things had cared enough to try and circumvent mass destruction. Which makes sense if one were to be honest. No point in ruling a world that doesn't really exist.

The conversation would eventually turn towards Naomi Sato and the information that she had managed to gather. She was to speak on the matters of Unown, the Dark Triad, and whatever information it was that she had gathered. In his eyes, this was something that would be all the more important. As such, he would turn his focus solely towards her.

Ask and you shall receive!! Whilst Olliver and his Metagross had been making their way back down Route 116, Olliver would catch wind up something up above. From just base appearances, it had been a decently large and somehow green Beedrill!! Finding Pokemon that are larger than their average size was already difficult. The fac that Metagross was one such Pokemon was already astonishing. But to find one of the shiny variety?! Well Olliver simply had to investigate.

Not quite having noticed the riding gear that might have been worn by the Beedrill, or really even the person that had been riding atop it, Olliver would command his Metagross to give chase to the winged creature. It was surprisingly nimble, and admittedly a bit difficult to catch up to, but that was why Olliver had taught his Metagross how to make use of the move Agility.

"Alright buddy, let's try and bring that thing down. The sooner we get it down here, the sooner we can get out of here." Metagross would offer it's trainer a curt acknowledgement before beginning to collect light from the area. This much would have been enough to let the individual above know that something was wrong. If not that then at least the massive beam of light that had escaped from the Metagross's mouth would!! Albeit, if he was being honest with himself, the attack against the Beedrill above would miss.

As Olliver had sat there, atop his Metagross, he would continue to listen to the things that Josh was telling to him. In reference to the fact that Josh purposely rides Pokemon that he could feel the gallop of, Olliver would nod his head a few times. "Yeah, I can understand that. Honestly though, it's a bit easier atop of something like this." Take a moment to gently pat the top of Metagross's head, Olliver would continue on. "By making use of Metagross's Magnet Rise, we can ensure that we don't accidentally trample over anything below us."

There had been a surprising amount of truth in that statement as Olliver had continued to pat his Metagross. Unless it was necessary for his research, he simply felt no need to get in the way of another individual or their Pokemon. Not out here, where the police and rangers could find you anyways.

Once the introductions would proceed, Olliver would respond in kind. "Yes, I am aware of who you are, Mister Devlin. You are quite famous in these parts, I suppose." A small bout of laughter would escape from the mans lips as his mind had drawn back to the otome game. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, of course. My name is Olliver. An aspiring Pokemon Researcher, one could say. And as for my pal here?? Well I haven't quite thought of a name for them."

As the two had spoke, it would appear that a couple of wild Pokemon had decided to test the waters with them. A Munna and a Stufful. "Oh, look. One of the exact reasons that I chose to come out here. You don't mind if I try and catch that Munna, do you?" Very shortly after having asked as much, Olliver would call forth one of his Pokemon: Indeedee. Once she had made contact with the ground, Olliver would speak aloud a single phrase. "Stored Power."

Having received its command, Indeedee would allow for the move to take place. A purple light of raw power would emit from Indeedee, shooting up into the sky before drawing itself back down upon the wild Munna. It might have even been effective enough to deal some decent damage if it wasn't for the Munna utilizing its defense curl at the last moment.

Josh Devlin

The Wilds.. This had been his first expedition to such a dangerous place and it was quite early on in his career. Either Team Rocket had trusted this man far more than he had anticipated or they were ready to take him out already. In his eyes, he had preferred to think of it as the former as opposed to the latter. Given the fact that he had been paired up with one of those Avatars though.. Well just about anything was possible now.

Regardless of the intentions behind the actions of his higher ups, Olliver was here now. And from what he could tell, things weren't going to be all that easy to handle out here. Out here, in the Ultra Crater that could be found within Fortree City, even the surrounding area had been a mess. Case in point, why in the world was the sky yellow?? There were far too many things that Olliver simply didn't understand about the situation at hand.

"Right.. So we aren't out here to try our hand at catching these Pokemon but to watch out over the area and gather information." Although it would seem as though he was speaking to Gavin, he had really been speaking out loud to himself. He was rather anxious for being out here with an individual such as Gavin and was doing his damnest to not show as much. "That said, we should proce-"

Before he could even finish his sentence, Gavin would go on to release the mythical Pokemon that had chosen him to be his avatar. Shadow Lugia. A Pokemon that has been referred to as the guardian of the seas. A Pokemon with such corrupted proportions that even Olliver couldn't help but be dumbstruck by its glory. "I.. Wow." A barely audible acknowledgement of the beast before him.

It would take a moment before Olliver had truly snapped out of his daze. Once he had though, he would slap his cheeks a bit before gesturing for Gavin to lead the way. "A-after you, Gavin, sir." His hand still outstretched, Olliver would fall into line behind the Rocket Underboss. "We should.. probably get going. I am in your care."

"Crown.. Prince??" This woman here was related to the Galarian Crown Prince? Just who was she exactly?? While he admittedly shouldn't have been all that surprised that someone important had come from the halls of the embassy, he simply couldn't fathom the fact that she was someone so important. If it wasn't for the fact that he had been so weak.. Perhaps he could have found a way to spin the around for Team Rocket.

The fact that this woman had held such grandstanding connections had been enough for Olliver to want to be around her a bit more. To further understand her as a person and to plan for the future. "I uh.. I see." Taking a moment to try and straighten himself out, Olliver would stop slouching and proceed to stand tall.

"I appreciate that you are willing to assist me in my research to such a degree. Before we try and get to that point though, I suppose that we should start with introductions." Whilst holding out his left hand to her, Olliver would offer her a bright smile. "I'm Olliver. An aspiring professor. It's a pleasure to greet you, madam." As he would speak to her, the female Indeedee that had been contained within its pokeball would find its way out and offer a hand to the Galarian Princess as well.

As Olliver and his Metagross had meandered about Route 116 in hopes of discovering and catching a new Pokemon for their roster, a voice that he was sure he hadn't heard before would call out to him. Curious as to just who this man might be, Olliver would spin about on Metagross's back and would identify the figure surprisingly quickly. This was someone that he had just played an otome game about.. the Gym Leader, Josh Devlin.

It would be a lie to say that Olliver wasn't surprised about the mans arrival. Especially given the timing of such an individual appearing, after having played his route. Of course that wasn't the only surprise. Based off of appearances alone, Olliver could tell that this man was an Elite Ranger. Someone that was likely to get in the way of his organizations plans in the future.

"Erm.. Yes, hello, good morning." Was this mans appearance just a coincidence? Or had fate simply been playing a cruel trick on him? Either way, he would have to give in to the mans whims if he was planning on making it out of here without too much trouble. That said, he would be sure to have his Metagross float to the other side of the road. "I apologize for that.. Just got a bit distracted whilst dwelling on my plans for this area. I'm hoping to catch a few psychic Pokemon and I guess I get a little in my head when I get too excited."

As Olliver had attempted to reorient himself, to his surprise, a voice would come from a few feet behind him. This would admittedly cause the man to briefly panic as he had wondered just what someone from the embassy would need of him. Slowly but surely, he would turn about to face the woman that had just spoken out to him. And as he had done so?? Well he would find himself stopped in place, his gaze following onto two objects of pure beauty.

The first had been the woman that had called out to him. And the second?? Well it had to be that darling Sprigatito that she had been carrying. "O-oh... No ma'am!! I uh.." Unsure of how to really act around this particular individual, Olliver had found himself clamming up. "Honestly, I was just on my way to the pokemart. As embarrassing as it is to admit, I've found myself a smidge lost. I don't really come out to Rustboro all that often."

The man would anxiously rub at the back of his head as he had continued on. "Excuse me, I uh, I'm a researcher of sorts and I came out here to try and catch wind of anything of interest.. It may have been unintentional but I believe that kind of dragged me towards the embassy in my confusion." Both a truth and a lie intertwined with one another. One could only hope that she would take it in stride and work with him on it.
