Once again, not exactly the most understanding of underbosses that Soyeon could hold a conversation with. He'd push away her status report and push her to not think too greatly on what she could have done about being alongside him. It was evident by her own soft hum that she hated being told that. Scolded for showing thought of anybody else caught in the machine. Her thoughts trailed back to the boy she had faced in the Ultra Sea. The one who had a friend that had come into being in Rocket for similar reasons to her. Maybe his friend at least would have a better time of things than she was currently having.

And yet, Gavin didn't sound like he meant anything cursing her presence for not being there during his presumed fights. "I trust your judgement. It's not like a scientist could do much in the battlefield." Soyeon said to agree with him.

By his own account, the underboss had visited places more interesting than her at least. The woman had her interest piqued by the mention of the other astral plains and such around did cause her to become a little more curious about the environments inside of the Ultra Space. "Fascinating...I wish I could have had more time to go and visit them myself." Soyeon commented before he brought up the mist. Another memory had popped up in her head. She recalled the time when her trek had been impeded by such a phenomenon. "Actually, I did run into some mist during my dive. I was walking through before it enveloped me and then a woman attacked me in its cover. I got out okay, but sadly, it shredded my lab coat."

Her hand is pushed away as Soyeon can only pout at him. the tired kind of pout that showed exhaustion on her own end alongside him, although she was in far better shape. "If you say so..." Another sigh escaped from the scientist's lips while she crossed her arms. "It was, but nobody seems to be threatening said extraction, sir. If you have to know, my missions went just fine. All items accounted for and my research inside has been submitted for investigation. I'm sorry I wasn't able to go with you and make sure you had turned out better."

The woman returned to her previous post stance, facing forward as she looked down at her Pokemon. Ferrous was pretty banged up, and Proto was still paralyzed from the run in with the one League member. Her eyes went to the Dodrio and watched quietly while they sqawked amongst themselves. "So...What exactly did you see down there? I found myself in underwater caverns, mainly."

Soyeon would be stationed right outside the rift, having been stationed there after failing most of her duties on the account of the League's interference. Yet as much as it did thrill her to see the League in trouble, she feared for her own safety if the admins had thought of her as somewhat inept to really be of much use to them. So for the time being, here she came to be, making sure nobody would dare to step foot that wasn't part of them. Her eyes fell onto Gavin, one of many times as she let out a soft, clearly concerned sigh. She listened to his question, then reached into her bag slung over her shoulder before taking out a small white cloth and approaching Gavin with it in hand. Without any prompting, her hand carefully dabs at the underboss's cheek, hoping to at least ease his efforts somewhat.

"They were fine." she lied, paying much more attention and focus to him than her own failures. Just another one of many, after all. "I could care less about any extraction effort now. What...happened to you, sir?" she asked, looking over at the Dodrio for some kind of answer, hoping that maybe if she believed hard enough, they could speak.

The boy's answer had really taken Soyeon by surprise. While he had been so full of vigor and hatred for her before, it had been totally muted upon learning about what she had been doing in this place. Her stance relaxed, eyes shooting towards the blonde haired teen as he would quickly give her instructions on what to do to bow out of his battle. But not only that, he said that a friend of his had also gotten entangled in Team Rocket and all of their shenanigans. While the mention of a kindred soul was a small bit of relief, to know that it was not her stuck in this hell of a life, Soyeon couldn't help but push it down inside of her. In a hushed tone, she'd make a soft hum of concern.

"I'm sorry your friend is trapped into service like I am. If I could, I'd offer you everything I have to help, b-but I can't lose my family. They're the only thing they haven't taken from me and...Ah-I can't lose them." she whispered to him, but then slowly leaned forward at his request, "I can do that. Just remember, not all of us want to be where we are. I just wanted to study Ultra Space in peace, not be forced to serve them." Her hand slid a piece of paper into his hands, containing her contact information before breaking away.

Her pokemon would take the brunt of both attacks as she frowned, unable to help them recover from such pain. As this happened, one of the scientists shouted about the download completing. Immediately after, the people in the room abandoned their posts and went to the exit in a hurry. Soyeon nodded, recalling her Pokemon and scurrying outside with them. She looked over her shoulder for a moment to see the mysterious boy disappear into the ceiling above. How mysterious...

The stern looking woman did have a point. Rocket was pumping up their presence here since the wormhole opened. And she only knew that because she was a Rocket herself. Of course, there wasn't any way that Soyeon was letting that bit of information slide on her watch. "So that gives you the right to just detain everyone on no ground? You instigated this entire situation!" Soyeon snapped back at Elinor as she'd fuss about refusing to provide documentation about her identity. The Sceptile clashed against the incoming Metagross, with its hind legs digging into the ground as both Pokemon would provide an ample amount of force against one another. Using this to its advantage, tge grass type went to wrap Ferrous in vines again using Frenzy Plant. The Metagross raised its legs upwards at the Sceptile, aiming to slam them both down on top of the woman's partner.

"Just let us go! We don't have anything valuable or interesting that you want. Or else we have to defend ourselves…"

The Trevenant punched the Zap Cannon away as if it were nothing, with Soyeon much to focused on that to notice the boy's disappearance. The tree spat out many seedlings at Ferrous, his arms swiping some away while the others would find their mark and land on top of its body. Soyeon panicked, unsure of what really to do next. Frozen in pure calculations, she was stuck in her hazy mind before the poke to the arm had startled her. Seeing the boy, she winced out of habit, anticipating a punishment of some kind. Especially given this man's distaste for Rockets. He asked her the question she had been asked before. But the woman frowned, keeping her voice low.

"No. I wanted to be a Pokemon Scientist and we didn't have the money. B-But some man offered to help me through. Ah-I didn't think...But I wanted to try something, anything to go to school. But that man was affiliated with Rocket and threatened my family if I didn't comply." Soyeon frowned, keeping her eyes focused on the Pokemon battling. "I won't be punished if you stop them. Ah-I'm just a part of the recon team. These guys, they'll get hurt, punished, maybe even worse. I don't even know, but I can at least lessen that punishment for them. Not every Rocket is as evil as you think..."

The Metagross was caught unaware of the Sceptile that bounded towards them both as a result of the previous Flash Cannon that was fired at the both of them in warning. It seemed as if this was some kind of misunderstanding, or at least to Soyeon, a declaration of the woman that meant she was not playing around. The grass types attack landed at the steel type as Soyeon rushed to him. Her hands fell onto its legs while trying to ease him back up, though frowning at Elinor. "Why can't you just let us go?!" she whined, "We weren't bothering! We didn't even pose a threat until you start this whole thing!" The Metagross managed to her back up as SOyeon growled, pointing at the Sceptile now.

"Zen Headbutt!"

Ferrous emit a low growl, then went soaring towards the grass type. A powerful psychic energy surrounded its form while it had been aiming to crash its body into Sceptile.

It must be nice just to generalize all the time! I dont even wanna be here if it wasnt for researching this with them!" Soyeon replied back. She knew full well of what working in this space would entail, although it wasnt like this was going to change much between them. He knew she was a Rocket but that ubder duress part was still lying dormant inside of her. The trembling but brave woman watched as the Trevanant jumped into action and caught the Hammer Arm with an attack of its own. The two stood locked against one another before the Magnezone would launch a Zap Cannon at Ferrous. The poor Metagross went flying a few feet away. Her Porygon2 would launch into action, going against the defending tree as it would launch a countattack of its own. The normal types wings and heads would glow yellow, orange and blue respectively before launching a barrage of pellets at the Magnezone, coated in fire, electronic and ice energy in one Normal type attack. While this happened, a coating of data coated its form as it adapted the Magnezone's ability to itself.

Ferrous, although stunned and paralyzed from the attack, would slowly rise back to its feet as its body tensed and struggled to move properly from the paralysis. Soyeon frowned, rushing over to check on it. "Ferrous!" she said, trying to recah out to the poor dual type. "You okay? You don't have to push yourself. I don't want to lose you...Ah-I can give up and-" The Metagross huffed, making an eerie noise to its trainer. The woman looked shocked, though troubled as her pokemon would force itself up and raise its arm at the Trevenant. Crackling electric energy circled around the limb as Soyeon released what attack was. "Ferrous, aim it at the trevenant!" It emit a low metallic noise before then launching a Flash Cannon of its own at the Ingrained ghost type.

"I'm trusting you guys..." she murmured to herself.

Soyeon was already on edge. The woman whom she had thought she saw before was slowly becoming more and more suspicious of what she was doing in this location. Honestly, her mind was already terrified of what would happen in the event that her superiors found out she not only was late but didn't get enough information that seemed to warrant her being her in the first place. The Rocket swallowed nervously as the other woman frowned at her response and asked for what her stuff was being used for. Of course, Soyeon couldn't tell her outright as she didn't want the consequences of that to end up in her lap.

"J-Just a bit of research is all."

Of course, that didn't exactly sate the woman's appetite and once again, Soyeon was being detained, or the threat of being arrested. She let out a terrified murmur, trembling at what this woman might be capable of. The Sceptile was also pretty angry look, and it seemed like the formalities had ended. Looking to Ferrous, she'd point at the woman and close her eyes to shield herself from the ensuing carnage.

"FERROUS USE FLASH CANNON!"

The Metagross would him with energy, soon unleashing a blast of energy at the woman and Sceptile. But if they noticed, it wasn't even aimed at them, but to the area to the right. The scientist backed away, flush in her cheeks and terrified.


"IMSOSORRYIREALLYDONTWANNADOTHISBUTTHEYLLHURTMYFAMILYIMSORRYBUTPLEASEGOAWAY!"

Soyeon shot the boy a frustrated look. "Do you think any of us know how to fight against a trainer for real?! You're not even supposed to be attacking the scientists..." Her words seemed to have gleamed his interest, as he'd order the two Pokemon behind him to launch an attack at Ferrous, and electric types at that. The Metagross would hum while Soyeon would call out, "Proto! Block it!" Immediately, the digital Pokémon zigzagged across the area and would take the brunt of the Thunderbolt. While hurt initially, it would rebound while Soyeon retaliated immediately. "Conversion 2, Proto!" The Porygon would rumbled rapidly, its form shifting colors as a rainbow of lights emit from its body, soon settling on a yellow color. Electricity arced around its body while she'd turn to her Metagross. "Hammer Arm the Magnezone, Ferrous!" The steel-psychic type soared towards the magnet beast, raising its arms high before attempting to unleash a mighty attack.

"Stop!" Soyeon called out, pushing out to the front lines in front of Aaron. She strode up towards him, the Rocket scientist wearing an expression of anxiety but making a conscious effort to stand out. Beside her was her Metagross, hovering above the ground and her Porygon, which moved erratically around her. In her hands was a smaller, infant sized Bulbasaur that had been busy holding several papers and such. After coming to a halt a respectable distance from the boy, she would speak. "You...eh-idiot! We're a research division! We have grunts and scientists stuck here." She turned to a nearby grunt fumbling with another person, busy fiddling with a piece of technology as they hurried off together, holding something fairly interesting. The lavender haired woman motioned for them to get going. But before Aaron and his Pokémon could intercept, Soyeon and her team stood in the way.

"Ah-I can tell I won't win against you. Your Pokémon are way out of my league. B-But I can hold you back until the download is complete. If you back off now, we can just stay our separate ways..."

The mist around Soyeon would soon disappear. This showed her immediate surroundings to face whoever had managed to trap her leg with the grass type move. She'd look surprised when a woman with a stoic expression had come to appear before her, partnered with a Sceptile who looked even less happy to see her. She gave an order as the scientist had no choice but to relent.

"Ah-I'm Soyeon. A scientist sent to study the most recent wormhole appearing in Granite Cave. I was collecting things for use in-"

Her eyes noticed how close she was getting. Ferrous hovered in front of her with what sounded like a threatening growl from the steel and psychic type while the woman frowned at Elinor. "Please…Stay back. I don't want to hurt you, but I will defend myself." It hurt that the scientist had come to ask the woman to keep her distance. After several tugs and yanking on the vine, it finally snapped and set the woman free. Soyeon slowly backed away from the girl. For as deadly serious as she was, the Rocket couldn't help but think she was pretty when this upset. But such thoughts were shaken away as there were more important matters at hand.

"Now if you'll excuse me, ah-I need to continue my work and remain on schedule…"

Soyeon had been wandering in the Deep Sea, having been sent to collect data for future excursions here. The locale interested her greatly, and despite not having a sygna suit or any kind of advanced level protection offered to the important ground forces, the woman was happy with exploring around. It was so amazing to experience the ultra space for the first time first hand. There came to be a hazy fog rolling around that was a bit alarming, putting her on edge while collecting samples and findings.

Then the ground beneath her had began to churn. Vines began to grow under foot, catching her leg on a stray vine that had entangled itself around her. "What's going on? Damn it…" she cursed, reaching into her waistband to throw out a pokeball. A Metagross was summoned beside her as she worked on freeing herself from the vines. "Be ready for anything, Ferrous. Just until I can get out of this." The towering psychic type let out a shrill noise of confirmation. Its arms rose, ready to strike out at anything in the mist that may have posed a danger to them both. While cutting, Soyeon would take a gamble and shout out into the Mist.

"What do you want from us? We don't mean you any harm!"
