Fingers poised at the ready, Felicity grabbed the necessary things to make the woman's tea.

"It's nice knowing there's a small community of us here. I haven't been away from Johto long but I already kind of miss it."

They grabbed a teapot and 2 ceramic mugs, placed them on a tray, and tapped at the POS screen. They slid another menu on the tray, providing dim sum options. Oolong, the little Poliwag, waddled into the room, hopping up and down to catch the new woman's attention.

"This is Oolong, he'll lead you outside and I will bring this in a moment."

Oolong chirped again and turned around, waddling out of the room into a bright hallway. The screen doors opening the hallway to the courtyard gardens were open, and the native Johto foliage blended seamlessly in with the Hoenn displays. There was a variety of wooden tables with chairs, and a nearby cabinet offering go boards, chess boards, and a variety of other little games, in which several tables were engaged in. At one table sat six women engaged in a heated match of mahjong, plates of dim sum strategically placed around them.

There was a cute little sign featuring Poliwag with a bowtie and a Wynaut sitting in a chair, stating "Seat Yourself! Staff Will Be Present Shortly!" As well as a little river that ran through the tea house, a home to several species of water pokemon.

The rain thickened, a light mist rising from the ground to accompany it. Several regulars closed windows in the tea house, the ones more likely to allow rain to pool inside on the wooden floors. Several pokemon napped in conveniently located beds, lulled by the sounds of the rain hitting the roof. All in all it was peaceful, drowsy almost.

"Of course. I can leave a menu with you if you would like when the tea is brought over, we serve a variety of dim sum. If you would like we could run a slip for you, so you can pay before you leave. If not, you are welcome to pay now."

Felicity cleared their throat slightly, the scratch grating against their nerves. They tapped at the screen of the POS system, ringing up the total and leaving the space for the table number empty.

"Would you like to tour the rooms now, or after? I don't believe anyone is using them so you can tour them all if you'd like. They are mostly the same, with minute differences in decor is all."

An older couple entered, the man shaking off an umbrella as the woman smiled. Felicity shot them a smile back, physically perking up as they seated themselves and began to quietly converse. There was a sense of pride, knowing that they had managed to open a spot that was quickly becoming popular with some regulars.

Felicity wasn't one for adventure, not off the stage. But there had been a known swarm of the Poliwag line, and Oolong hadn't be able to sit still since finding out. Listening to the little Poliwag cry out and wag his tail had finally made Felicity exasperated enough to go looking. It was a bad idea realistically, being around so many big and aggressive pokemon boxing like they had a world championship to win. But being able to watch over Oolong playing with other Poliwag like a parent at a playground was pretty funny. They shoved their hands in their coat pockets, breathing in the frosty air that soothed their lungs.

A nudge at their leg made them jump, seeing a Poliwrath blink up at them.

"Oh!"

Well. They thought to themself. Might as well try, right?

They clicked the button of a pokeball to expand it, and allowed it to fall on the Poliwrath's head.

Hopefully, it wouldn't be too mad if this didn't work.
