SERGEI FOUND WINTER IN THIS DESOLATED DUNGEON and so it is fitting to have him train him here as well. But the prospects of training in the Sky Pillar is relatively slim, especially when all there there is to do is to climb each succeeding floor with the hopes of not stepping on any weak trellises or worn down slabs.

"How did you even survive here?" He speaks at loud to the dumb-looking dragon who only stares at him with his dumb-looking face. Sergei chuckles and pets the frigibax below his snout before encouraging the baby dragon to continue their journey.

The researcher is yet to reach the pinnacle of the tower and he hopes his second try will be an opportunity to meet someone who shares the same dumb idea of training in an eerie, unfamiliar place.

MISSION: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
#OPEN

"NINE, TEN, ELEVE--NOW WHERE'S THE MISSING TWO?"

Thirty minutes has passed since Sergei realized one of the spoinks from his field work-slash-baby sitting duty has gone missing. This is supposed to be just a small gesture for a fellow researcher who has helped Sergei before in his own study but never did he realize that this also entails an arduous task of keeping watch over some unruly swines. With all the craziness in Hoenn, of course spoink pearls are easy target for people who wanted to harvest them for catalyzing power.

Upon passing by one, inconspicuous alley, the squeals are heard by Sergei's Lunar, leading the way. The loud, chilling noises resonate from the dark, which only made them louder as Volante finally reaches the source of the sound. The cyclizar halts a few feet before the two suspicious figures on the other end.

"What are you doing?" His tone of frustration is enough to send Lunar leading with a HEAT WAVE into the enemy's direction.

MISSION: PEARLS BEFORE SWINES

SERGEI WON'T JUST LET A FREE BEER PASS, especially if it's from someone potentially being his first friend in the new region. When the kind stranger offers to clank the bottle, Sergei returns the gesture with a smile. He then takes a huge gulp and nods at question.

"He's a family legacy." Sergei explains. "We're kind of descended from dragon-slaying warriors in the old Galar. Valiant is a gift I got from my Mama."

The Dachev Sem'ya history has been a recent discovery in Sergei's part and it has been the source of his recent motivations to explore further how deep his connection with the dragons is.

"Apparently, the Dachevs are supposed to have one partner dragon growing up. That is Valiant for me."

MISSION: ZERO TO ONE HUNDRED
Navy

After a few more climbs, about three, the sight of a baby dragon did not leave the researcher disappointed. A frigibax, similar to what he saw in Paldea when he first arrived there, has been hanging out in the Sky Pillar.

"Come here, little guy." He attempts to give it a piece of his berry but the baby dragon proves aggressive. It is when it attempts a tackle that, with the pokeball readied in his hands, Sergei accidentally trapped the baby dragon inside the ball.

And the ball shakes, with Sergei waiting for the final outcome.

SOLO WILD - 2/3

SERGEI catches the FRIGIBAX.

The presence of a ghost, however, is the last thing Sergei needs. The dragon aficionado has just climbed the fifth or sixth of the floors and this leaves him vulnerable to surprise attacks like this one.

"Get off from me!" He screams, running, trying to look for the next flight of stairs to climb the tower further.

- Sergei's maternal great grandparents have migrated from CROWN TUNDRA, GALAR to LACUNOSA, UNOVA in hopes of living a normal life away from the Dachevich traditions of dragon slaying, a few years before the infamous MASSACRE OF DACHEV SEM'YA that decimated almost the entire clan.[break]
- Sergei is a long, distant nephew of Valerio Dachev .[break]
- His great grandparents changed their name from Dachev to ZIMNITSKY in order to protect themselves from those who wanted them dead.[break]
- The Zimnitskys lived a quiet yet comfortable life in Lacunosa, helping the small town to develop and to be acquainted and friendly with the dragon-type Pokemons.[break]

- YEAR 10: Born and raised as SERGEI IVANOVICH ZIMNITSKY, the young Dachev has always been fascinated with dragon-type Pokemons up until he reached of age,when his parents gave him his first partner Pokemon: VALIANT THE GIBLE.[break]
- YEAR 11: Sergei starts his Pokemon journey in Galar and is vying for a top spot at the championships until his untimely defeat against the Dragon-type Gym Leader. The young Dachev vows to train further and be the best Dragon-type trainer there is in the whole world.[break]
- YEAR 16: Sergei finished his preliminary education in order to be accepted at the University of Unova's RESEARCH CLASS. There, he continued studying about Dragon-type Pokemons; Valiant has evolved from gible to garchomp and Sergei earned the trust of another partner in the shape of COMMANDER WISE THE TATSUGIRI.[break]
- YEAR 20: Sergei discovered a JEWELLED EGG in his family's attic at Lacunosa—apparently, this is a symbol of Galarian nobility, particularly the Dachevs, who have fought against the threat of dragons in their old region. Since then, Sergei put his focus on his origins and vowed to bring back the GLORY OF DACHEV SEM'YA. In a field trip he spent at CROWN TUNDRA, GALAR, Sergei caught SANGUINE THE DREEPY and instantly became his friend.[break]
- YEAR 21: Segei, in preparation for his thesis, decided to take another field work: this time, in Hoenn. He changed his name back to DACHEV and promised his parents that he would be safe and that he would fulfill his personal mission.[break]

- After participating in a SERIES OF MISSIONS AND A BATTLE with his colleagues and against Team Rocket, Sergei was able to catch ENIGMA THE ROARING MOON.[break]
- Sergei made the acquaintance of ELITE FOUR Callan Young (although the former does not recognize the latter). Regardless of their efforts, the LEAGUE LOST in its hijacking attempt.[break]

MAY 2023]: RUST AND RUIN

- Two spoinks were lost during his voluntary work as a research assistant and found them being hunted by two suspicious figures (Cillian Quinn and Mirabella Fontaine ).

NEWS ABOUT THIS SO-CALLED 'SKY PILLAR' has filled Sergei with excitement. He knows there can be a potential breakthrough investigating about the dragons that live here. If not, at least he gets to explore a new area and meet new Pokemon partners along the way. He tightens his grip on the straps of his backpack and begins the exhausting climb up the ancient spire.

Now that is a real shocker. When the musharna faints and the porygon is retrieved, Sergei gestures for both of his Pokemons to come back as well. The win does not make him euphoric, though, but it is the fact that he is now free from such nuisance this grunt has given him.

Hysteria fades, paranoia dwindles, and Sergei just smiles. "It's not like I have anyone to tell."

The man gives one final glance, a nod, before he finally takes off into the world outside.

The thing with mysterious ores is that they are so mysterious, Sergei cannot even fathom how they work. While the drapion attempts to break through the earthen hurdles that have sprung out of the ground because of the crystal's effects, more and more stalactites grow to deter them from catching up. They would have noticed that the obstacles will falter in time quickly, just enough so Sergei can figure out how to get out of the grunt's sight fastly.

With only Commander Wise on his side of the battlefield, the dragon trainer then instructs it with MUDDY WATER, with Sergei and the tatsugiri attempting to ride the wave out. It doesn't matter if Ruby Garcia 's drapion succeeds: at least until they are gone by the time they are finished.

Alba Evovae's words make him laugh—"I don't think you guys know what's a real and proper battle etiquette."

Seeing his strategy works is enough for Sergei but the grunt decides to launch a counterattack against his team. This time, he copies the strategy and barrages a series of attack against his Pokemon. The Psychic that hit first his dreepy chips off at his health like a scratch but the Tri Attack is enough to send him ailing. "Sanguine, come back."

Sergei has no other choice; apart from the fact that his garchomp is a ticking timebomb, he has run out of Pokemon. The only one he can call now is his tatsugiri. "See? Now, look what you made me do."

Commander Wise appears out of her ball but it is obvious it is experiencing something it cannot explain. Perhaps, it is the interdream leaking, the hysteria it causes anyone who has been around the field.

"Valiant, make the most out of it! Commander Wise, do not push yourself too much, okay? But go and support him!"

The garchomp lunges itself, poised to CRUNCH into the musharna's flesh. Commander Wise really is incapacitated to move, but her HELPING HAND is helpful in boosting the dragon's attack. He just need to make this advantageous to her in numbers once again, and then this will surely be a win.

The lady's loaded responses inform Sergei that there is much more to the wars than what the news and papers have been giving. He realizes he has underestimated the lifelong effects and traumas they may have possibly induce, considering her reaction and seemingy tiny glimpse of optimism in what is like a never-ending battle against the forces that work against them. At least she still wants them to win, whatever the enemies are. And that only brings Sergei to respond with, "I hope so too."

He ignores the other's comments on his "field work", however. Apart from the fact that he does not know whether he is actually duped or not suggests he better not dwell on what he cannot control. There is something much more important than his work now, and that is the safety of the civilians on this town.

"Copy, that. I will help move people."

Sergei likes to believe he is not totally helpless. At least he can do something if it is just evacuating people. But then an unexpected occurs that possibly requires the teamwork between the two of them. A pair of rustic-looking creatures of what looks like mega salamences appear from the leak, causing much more hysterical shrieks and screams.

"...And now what is that?"

It seems Sergei's team will not easily get away when the grunt summons her remaining pokemon, drapion. Good thing for them, Commander Wise is quick to retaliate when her trainer senses what is about to happen and commands her in a haste. "SOAK that guy before it hits you!"

Tatsugiri's dragon-typing will not just momentarily save it from exhaustion, but also its strategy as well. Any time now that the drapion's electric fangs reaches the sushi dragon, a splash of water will come its way, hoping to get it electrocuted as well.

Valiant, however, is bound to suffer a different fate. When Tengliu the frosmoth decides its best to incapacitate his ace with attraction, Sergei instantly knew the garchomp is a lost cause. The thing is, even Sergei will be attracted to the frosmoth if it uses the move on him--it is a very beautiful Pokemon!

"Val, out with it!" But that remark only made the dragon frustrated and angry. The last bits of ice have finally melted on its legs, and now his garchomp, out of annoyance, decides it is best to use DRAGON BREATH at his trainer. "Oh, shit."

Sergei runs away as he is continually assaulted by his Valiant like a straight, out-of-sitcom sequence, scrambling to get Valiant's ball out to put away his 'madly in-love' dragon.

"I didn't quite expect that." He admits to Ruby Garcia. "But I still have a few tricks up my sleeve, if you must know."

The last of the artifacts in his pockets, a MYSTERIOUS ORE he oughts to use in case of a real, compelling emergency. This is indeed an emergency, he thinks, I don't even know if this Rocket is capable of killing and I don't want my first month in Hoenn being six feet below the ground. Lifting the earthen crystal and smashing it onto the ground suddenly creates a tremor, and then a sudden movement in the plates as the broken pieces of the ore summon stalagmites and crystals jutting out of the ground. Sergei needs one final distraction to get his shit done: after all, he did not come here to fight but to get back with his colleagues.
