The wilds prove once more to be a wildcard as not only does Lutgarde find themself in them again, but also in familiar company. "So we meet! I hope you have been well as well," they smile at Morrighan and nod, before looking at the train station with curiosity. "I do wonder how they still might work in a place like this ... how any of the machinery functions, really," Lutgarde remarks, looking at the architecture and machinery with marvel.

While generally not bright, the workings of things coming together like this, city-like in their structure, is something they've been a bit more curious about than sports, in fact, and actually studied as far as they've been able.

"With pleasure - let's see where this takes us," they agree with a grin, urging onward to follow Sylv who already hopped into the train, to see where this train ride would take them. It's thrilling to see more of this strange kingdom, explore beyond ... even if it's also scary, a little bit, since ... They need to hope to find an exit again, or the way back. But with the volatile happenings in this realm, maybe it would work out fine.

"That's ..." It seems like a ghost or some kind of spirit has resided in the machinery, being freed as Lutgarde opens the cover - or maybe it's been captured, and now ... there's truly only more mysteries in a kingdom as marvellous as this one. However, the fact that they're in a dimension foreign to them hits once more as a sickening feeling begins to make itself known more than before, one that truly-

"Morri-?" Lutgarde asks, surprised as they see their companion vanish- but gladly, even if the rift is an anomaly born from the current moment, it's a familiar sight still that Morrighan would arrive in Hoenn safely once more.

They take step towards it, too, to get thrown back as well, but- the never changing rhythm of this kingdom's clock suddenly ... changes. It slows dramatically, and with it, Lutgarde feels themself slow down drastically, as if watching themself only in slow motion. It doesn't seem to affect their thoughts, however, as they continue to observe with a calm kind of panic. What's happening? But ... at least they could still move.

Steadily, slowly towards the portal ... ... but then they correct course, and are released into normal tempo again. There's ... with the Volcanion, a broken big ball. They've not recognised it before, but now that the slowness has given them time to actually process, that's ... what Magearna's dress looks like. Is this one of those Magearnas, they wonder? "Do you mind if I take this one with me? I'm sure I'll find someone who can fix them up, and give them this, too." They point at the ball and the soul heart ... but the Volcanion doesn't respond, only moves slightly as if to move to a more comfortable position, and also frees the ball a little bit more.

"Thank you, I'll take good care."

They move to lift the ball and ... heavy. They were prepared, however, given that this is definitely a being made of metal and machinery, and that's bound to be heavy ... but they manage, and slowly (now not because of supernatural forces) move towards the portal and back to Hoenn.

It's something to celebrate as Lutgarde sees the Volcanion slowly recovering, even as it's also still ... Lutgarde looks at it with an uncharacteristic sadness, seeing as this one ... might not be able to be saved anymore. And this one- are there really more, they wonder. It does seem like the kingdom is filled with machinations, and maybe there's been ways to replicate, duplicate ... it would explain why there might also be multiple Soul Hearts. Multiple Magearnas ... and their Volcanions?

"I have no clue," they reply to Morrighan's question, pulled out of the string of thoughts that is in and of itself rather uncharacteristic, frowning slightly as they look at the Volcanion and the clock tower. "But I think that looks like we can roll something out here to provide extra shelter ..." they ponder further, pointing at a machinery that surely seems to be connected to a little thing in the wall, possibly to provide further shelter.

"Let's see if I can open it up so we can look inside ..."

Sylv is an experienced battler, allowing Lutgarde to briefly look at Thomas' side of the battle, even if it's not necessary at all - just the caretaker instinct kicking in, making sure no additional help is needed. And the fight against the Type:Null looks absolutely brutal, too, nothing they'd be able to handle.

Their opponent Drapion is steadily pushed behind as Sylv uses Magical Leaf and another time, conjuring a storm of pink leaves that push the poison type away. Eventually, it has enough, roaring as it's nearly, but not fully defeated - using Sand Tomb as a counter to the Magical Leaf successfully. Sylv flinches backwards, but he's not alone either. From the air, Sylph comes rushing in with an Air Slash, striking the Drapion and creating an opportunity for Sylv to make contact with Quick Attack and K.O. the scorpion.

Lutgarde's been focusing on the fight, almost missing how the trainer actually disappears into the foliage- but not for long. After Sylph's bounced up again from her attack, the Togekiss opens chase with Extreme Speed, ramming into the criminal with enough force to trip them, but not enough force to seriously injure.

"Oh there- Oreo, come out and use Psychic to hold them!" they shout as they call for their Galarian Rapidash, quickly capturing the criminal fully before they could get away. Turning to Thomas again, they smile a bit lopsidedly, "What a fight. Everything's alright with you? We can spare some Life Dew or two if you want to patch up a bit," they offer, before seeing the defeated Type:Null. It's almost ... sad, but they don't truly know what to feel.

Lutgarde nods with an uncharacteristically severe, but also revering expression. There's no life without death - and no death without life. They're mutually exclusive states that can't exist without another. "Huh," the ranger remarks as they regard the Yveltal and are regarded in turn ... and how their auras seem to cancel one another out, allowing more room to breathe.

The cycle that exists so everything else can persist.

Still, tension lingers in the air as this area seems to be something both Yveltal and Xerneas of the Tera Crystal seem to be fighting about. There's flickering in the air as if the crystals themselves with all their brilliance couldn't decide whether they'd be dark or fairy - but it could all well just be Lutgarde's imagination.

"I wonder if," they cautiously start, before Sylph already starts flying over to the Yveltal that seems to acknowledge their presence. Their Sylveon Sylv also hops from Xerneas back to Sylph and Lutgarde, loafing atop the Togekiss' head. "Reminds me of that RKS simulation, you know?" Just now, it's not Miraidon against another Miraidon. "What do you think?" The terastal energy brings these legends to life, and they ... aren't entirely sure what might happen in a fight, but a fight seems to happen one way or another unless they book it real fast, hoping the illusions to fade. But, given Xerneas' speed just now, that truly seems impossible.

"I just don't really have dark type moves ..."

Lutgarde isn't sure if there's time for some impromptu meditation, but they would surely try and go for it! They'd need to clear their memory from the previous course, but even in reverse, it just looks too damn familiar ...

"Okay, that's really new!" they shout then over the wind, seeing as the ramp has somehow been made smaller. Hasn't it been only a few seconds? The gym's really advanced! Or maybe they misremember, after all. But hey, it's their first time here, too, definitely, with no past to speak of! It seems like they'd need a little more bump in their numbers to take the full dive at full speed, and Lutgarde pats Sylph momentarily. "How about we make them Follow Us even more?" they laugh, as Sylph puffs herself up (and immediately gets flattened again by the wind), nodding.

Her Follow Me move manifests as a little maneuver to the left and the right - risky at this speed, but she hopes general practice will enough. If the move takes, it might even lead others to pursue her even more ... but also gives her an edge to her speed to stay ahead, as the others shall follow as she leads.

So it hasn't been their hallucination. A mysterious 'M' has been mentioned in the ruby-tinged thought, and Lutgarde can imagine who this might be ... a princess that she's met in the Wilds before, on their last trip. Little do they know they would encounter her again, and another time. But before they could speak any thoughts on that, their mind is gripped by something to do. They were always better at just muscle-ing through than thinking.

"Let's do it!" They would occasionally guide and give directions, but for the most part, they also physically lift debris and rubble away from Volcanion after rolling up their frilly sleeves. The injuries the Volcanion display make them quiet for a moment, even if it's honestly not as severe as they thought it would be at first. "You done well," they tell it, patting it as they move another rock to the side.

"That's a good idea ... I'll bring up the rear, so go ahead!" They do signal for Oreo to take the lead, too, in case anything funny decides to show up.

And it's then that ... huh. "What's that?" they ask, but Morrighan and the lifeless Volcanion already disappeared further ahead. It's a small glowing crystal, one that they've also seen before ... putting it away, they look around. Is there Magearna-?

Sylv hops ahead a couple of steps, cooing and pulling on his ribbon, telling them to hurry up. "Coming!"

Lutgarde hurries as they see the clear signs of a pokémon in distress - rubble, with a shape underneath it. It only registers after Morrighan's arrival and exclamation that this is actually Volcanion, a pokémon of legend that they've heard much about in their childhood.

They ponder. So is this?

But, there's no time to waste as they- Huh? "Did you hear that, too?" they ask Morrighan about the sudden voice, broken as it might have been, in their head. "Did I hallucinate?" It wouldn't be a surprise to them, after this long in the Wilds here ... and they can't leave yet, either. They nod at the other's words, focusing on the task at hand.

"I can help with that, yes. Think Psychic should also be good there to remove the rubble," they say as they call for Noh, their Primarina. "Hi, we gotta need your help ... can you summon some bubbles and their water?" Lutgarde asks him, and Noh nods immediately, getting to work. The air is filled with brilliant visions of sapphire blue water, filling the air with moisture and a gentle cool. "Actually, let me also ... Oreo, use Psychic as well!" they call for their Galarian Rapidash.

Lutgarde nods in agreement with Morrighan's words, adding thoughtfully, "Or more that time seems to step in the same place ... some kind of broken but still working clock, maybe. Maybe we should see what time the clock tower displays once we leave here."

They step aside to let the other take a look, too, and nod, "Sure!" The window is easily opened, and they quietly call for their Togekiss after Morrighan's Levitated out of the window. They hop onto their trusted partner's back, with their other trust partner hopping onto the Togekiss alongside them. They don't ask for now - simply follow along, keeping an eye out that there aren't any hostile pokémon threatening them ...

Being outside and looking around, they are still captivated by this kingdom's forsaken beauty. Perpetual, eternal, it appears as if these structures will remain forever more. A chilling thought, too, even if some part of them find comfort in it. But it also puts a question into their mind - what might this kingdom protect?

As they follow Morrighan, they'd also need to find a way out, but so far, nothing that resembles an exit is in sight ...

Lutgarde has been tasked with staying on the bigger landmass during the big battles, seeing that there isn't too much chaos going on elsewhere while the sounds of war shake the region once more - and this time, the Kalosian also is around. This does mean, however, that, at the end of the day, they seeked to return to Lilycove with only minor concerns to see ... flooding. Almost everywhere.

Unfortunately, places near the beach were especially hit and unfortunately, they have picked exactly such a place. It's lucky that they take care of their dresses so the damage, even after flooding and ebbing, but ... they really do not want to think about it too hard.

And isn't it fortunate that, after a night at a temporary shelter, work is calling again. They smile, not ebing able to quite keep the chipperness they usually have, and wave at the Gym Leader of Lilycove - someone they only heard of so far. "Hey there! Lam, right? I was told you might need more hands to help out with, well, everything?" Whether it be working on the gym or the streets or anything - Lutgarde's open for anything, as they also are dressed in shockingly plain clothes (with mandatory accessory bows). Sylv, their black-red dyed Sylveon, walks up besides them with a greeting coo.

Lutgarde gently pulls on Sylv's ribbon that is (even underwater) attached to their wrist, and the Sylveon finally caves and focuses up. Noh and Garnet seem ready to leave the waters as well, so with a last treasure snatched up, the group moves towards the shore to unwind as the sun goes down.
