Dizzy shook his face after the giant cat's paw pushed him away. But that was his hint to not push the pokemon. Still, Dizzy was a friendly, curious, and at times mischievous fox. Dizzy gave the Luxray its space, though it was still a friendly fuzzy pokemon. [break][break] Zachary was relieved his forwardness was not too bad. He was only trying to make conversation and meet new people. However, Prophet wasn't helping the conversation, as he was almost trying to sense the girl's unease-- and something about him or his kind made her nervous. Zachary of course, didn't know this but as a psychic and bird type, his Xatu would feel at home in this town. "Yeah... Prophet is a bit... unique too, but he is a pokemon who can predict the future-- sometimes," he said as he urged Prophet to stop. [break][break] Breaking his intense staring, the Xatu soon looked around at the surrounding town. In eager anticipation to explore, the bird soon hopped into the air and began to glide on its big wings into the town.[break][break] " Prohpet-- wait a minute! Don't fly on your own," Zachary called out but Xatu flew on circling around to see more of the green city. With a sigh, Zachary turned back to Eris. "Well those are fun things to do. I bet there may be a great berry farm here too, but yeah... I should go looking into the gym here. Are you a traveling trainer too?" Zachary asked, curious to know more about the girl. [break][break] A part of him wanted to lean forward and pet the Luxray-- but after Dizzy's response, it was probably best not to. [break][break]

After dealing with the Toxel-- Zachary and his group of Pokemon reached the edge of the tall grass, opening up to an edge of a large stream. There they saw the big white ape. It was knelt over something and carressing it. Zachary soon looked, to soon find another pokemon in its arms. It was a pale and little froage of all things. It seemed sickly, perhaps poisoned by the Toxel they had formally encountered. COncerned, the big ape was in fact caring for it in its weaken state. Finding a berry for removing poison, the Orangoru gave it to the frog and slipped it into its mouth. The frog chewed it, and soon became at ease, letting out happy croaks as it laid in its arms. [break][break] "Y-you were caring for a poisoned Pokemon?" Zachary asked, feeling bad how he wanted to battle it running away-- to learn it was helping an injured pokemon. [break][break] The giant ape turned to see Zachary and his pokemon company. The ape nodded. It was then that the Oranguru turned. With one arm knuckle dragging, it held the Froakie and soon gestured for Zachary to pick it up. [break][break] At first, Zachary was confused, but soon learned how the Oranguru wanted Zachary to carry the young Froakie. Carefully, Zachary reached down and picked up the frog. It gave a soft croak and opened its eyes. [break][break] Seeing Zachary, the frog gave a curious and unthreatened croak. It gave a small stretch of its tongue into the air and then smiled at Zachary. [break][break] "Heh-- wow... A froakie of all things. You want me to take care of you, little fellah?" Zachary asked. [break][break] The frog didn't hesitate or struggle in his hands, but soon hopped on top of Zachary's blue hair. The frog nestled there, perfectly balanced-- which made Dizzy look at the frog, almost jealous. [break][break] However, there was one last thing to solve. [break][break] Zachary turned to Oranguru, and nearby-- Calypso the Slowking, still wanted to finish their game or challenge. If one win, the other would be superior. [break][break] However, Oranguru looked to Zachary, seeing how much the boy wanted to train Oranguru. However, he could tell he was the one who needed training. Oranguru was harsh on 'unworthy' trainers. However-- he saw how his Pokemon cared and respected him. How they operated almost as equals. This showed some promise to both Zachary and Slowking. [break][break] "Attention-- this is a warning. Your Safari time is almost up. Please take any remaining pokemon, and finish up before you are transported back to the safari gates", the warden's voice spoke over the loudspeaker. [break][break] "Drat-- we are running out of time! Oranguru, I challenge you to a battle!" Zachary declared. [break][break] Seeing the spark of promise in Zachary, he would wish to battle him-- but not right now. Oranguru soon raised its fan and directed to Zachary's last remaining Safari Ball. The ball flew out of his hand, almost making the boy trip. The ball soon hovered before Oranguru. With a silent desire to continue-- he soon touched the ball and became light. It soon entered the ball and it shut promptly without even a wabble. He agreed willing to go with Zachary-- either to test him at a better time, or to train Zachary as the trainer he felt he could be... And thus Zachary's first Safari adventure came to an end. Zachary sighed as he walked on with the rest-- of course not knowing one of his teammates was live-streaming this for others to see. Who did that during an excursion into a potentially dangerous place? He didn't judge though and did his part in observing the surrounding area. But how would he know the Porygon was actually a living camera too? [break][break] Suddenly while Zachary was distracted by the distant crystal formations that looked like stars-- the big buff guy in the front swung by and held on to his shoulders in a friendly embrace. The closeness was a bit alarming and uneasy as soon Ozni started to share with his viewers about him. On camera, Zachary looked flustered and surprised to be on a live stream like this. He was asked to talk about himself. "Um... Hi? I'm Zachary. Aspiring trainer and my dream is to become a Gym Leader. Someday... anyway... Um, and also to explore the unknown like these places and um..." he was clearly getting flustered by the camera fright.[break][break] A growl came as Porygon panned to the Delphox with Zachary. The angry glare from the fox made it clear that he was defensive of his trainer. The fox came up and pressed a paw at the 'camera', clearly not thinking it was appropriate. [break][break] Zachary turned to the 'cool' hip guy, who he had to admit-- was pretty slick and fun looking. "Um, so who are you and what are you doing here anyway? Besides trying to get more viewers?" Zachar replied but soon saw the markings in the cave. [break][break] Dizzy raised his torch and illuminated the area, and Kirlia looked around too, curious and on alert. Something fiery had indeed been here, as he observed the marks, and the glow of the crystals around them. "There must be something big. Or perhaps someone else from above came down here and this is their mess. Either way we should maybe focus-- or do you intend to have your pokemon record our bloody demise like in some 1'st person horror flick? " Zachary replied sarcastically. [break][break] Dizzy gave a similar sarcastic glare at Ozni, as if to second the sarcasm. He was a fox after all. [break][break][break][break]

THe Paracest may of been dangerous. Zachary felt it was, but it was seemingly dosile. To Dizzy, he KNEW it wasn't a threat. Pokemon, even bug-type Pokemon rarely just lashed out unprovoked. Not without reason. Dizzy cast an angry snarl at Josh-- finding his attack-first, ask questions later method-- not helping the issue. [break][break] The goal was to help Zachary break his fear of bugs. Happy and Rabsca knew this, especially Rabsca as to how scared Zachary was of it-- which hurt its feelings if it could show it. While the beetle pokemon was indeed mysterious, Happy got a feel for the emotions around him, as did Dizzy. Happy approached Swadloon, trying to converse. Seemingly shy, Swadloon tucked its mouth behind its leaf-- and soon began to produce soothing sounds. Leaf Whistle, from the sound of it. While not intending to cause sleep, Happy swayed to the tune, liking it. Soon the little mime took a leaf from a nearby shrub and used its Mimic to play along with her. The two soon created a symphony of a light tune, showing a sense of serenity. [break][break] Their unique show of music did put Zachary at ease as he relaxed a bit. He always enjoyed soothing music and these two had an oddly modern form of musical talent. "Wow... well I knew that Happy loved music but that's cool." Zachary said. [break][break] Dizzy soon pointed his stick to Happy and Swadloon. If the two could get along over their love of music, why were bugs so scary? At least, that was what Dizzy wanted to come across to Zachary with. Zachary was quiet, realizing that point as well, that Swadloon was not a vicious or man-eating bug. [break][break] Just then, there was a sudden disturbance in the forest as a rush of wind and growl carried on it. [break][break] The forest almost heaved-- and out came an very large, green beast! Of all things, out came charging out and growled-- was a Leafeon of all things! "A LEAFEON?!" Zachary cried, both in surprise, and awe. He soon took up his Pokedex reader and analyzed it. [break][break][break][break] "Grrrrrrr!!!" the Leafeon snarled, clearly showing it wasn't so peaceful as the pokedex described. One, it was unusually hostile as it glared at Josh and his pokemon, because how they were now fighting and causing wanton damage around them! Two-- this one was large. Leafeon were the size usually no bigger than a person's hips, but this one was like as big as one of Josh's "Pyroars". By whatever reason, it had grown big and strong-- and clearly had a beef with them. [break][break] "W-wait! Calm down. I don't wanna fight you! " Zachary shouted back, keeping his hands up. While not afraid of such a beautiful and rare Pokemon, he didn't want to fight. Even now as he struggled with his phobia of bugs, Leafeon was not one to listen. [break][break] its eyes would look to Swadloon, Happy and Rabsca, as if concern for their well being. While Zachary didn't present much danger to it, it was more angry at Josh and his aggressive pokemon being a risk to the forest. It even cast a growl at Dizzy! Why? Probably cause he was a fire type in a forest. [break][break] The fox just looked as defensive and concerned as Zachary was. [break][break]

As they chased after the Oranguru, in interest to see what drew it away, they were confronted by a strange-looking violet lizard-like Pokemon. A Toxel of all things. As it got in their way, Zachary knew if they fell behind too far, they would lose Oranguru. [break][break] "Oh, no way we are letting this get away. Dizzy! Use Psychic!" Just as the toxic lizard let out a loud belch attack, which was gross, Dizzy's eyes glowed with psychic power. The toxel was soon lifted up into the air and shook around, left and sent flying into the air. [break][break] Taking the opportunity-- Zachary tossed one of his Safari balls at it and easily caught the creature. As it settled, he grasped the ball back and urged the others to follow him. [break][break] "Come on! Hurry or we will loose the Oranguru!" Zachary shouted, urging Happy, Dizzy, Tarot, Prophet, and Calypso to follow him. [break][break]

While the idea of a dark and psychic type getting closer was odd, Dizzy didn't hesitate as he attempted to pet and get to know the Pokemon. By an odd confusion, Dizzy tried to sit on the mount-- but the reality was, he probably wouldn't last no more than a few seconds before he'd be tossed off like a silly fox. [break][break] Her handshake was firm and strong, and Zachary answered with one too-- trying to mimic the same strength in her grip. She was odd at first glance, but friendly as Zachary smiled back to her. She did explain a bit, saying about a 'show'? "What show? Wait you know the Gym Leader here? But sadly... I don't have a pokemon to ride. The most i have is a Pokemon who can teleport when I need it. My Xatu... well, he can fly but he's too small to ride like what you have." he explained. [break][break] BY then, Dizzy landed flat on the ground. He let out a disappointed grunt, his fur a mess as the Houndoom tossed him off, leaving him with a blank stare of defeat and embarrassment. Zachary wasn't there to explore some Boarder-- and in fact, he didn't even know about it. He was just a new trainer, working through his paces to garner experience. And it led him here. Mt Prye was his go-to spot for finding and making connections with new Psychic Pokemon. It was his first place to visit since he started. He met some amazing ones here, including Haunter, Umbreon, Calypso, Kirlia and Karma-- all Pokemon he considered valuable friends. [break][break] Unlike others, he had the means to teleport in. In the midsts of the forest in Mt. Pyre-- light formed and out appeared three figures. One was Kadabra, one of Zachary's strongest pokemon. With him, also appeared Delphox, also known as Dizzy-- and last but not least was Zachary himself. By teleporting, they bypassed every checkpoint that had blocked off Mt. Pyre. Sadly, Zachary was clueless about the events leading up to here. [break][break] Normally such a teleport would tire out a pokemon, but Tarot, the Kadabra, was resillant and uniquely strong. So strong, it rarely did listen to Zachary's orders and gave him a headache wrangling. [break][break] "Thanks for the Teleport, Tarot," Zachary thanked his Kadabra. To which the Kadabra just gave a grunt as they pressed on. Dizzy just grumbled the same, disliking Tarot's attitude to their trainer. [break][break] The entire area was foggy, a thick mist hanging around the place. Mt. Pyre was no stranger for gloomy weather but once Zachary wished it would be sunny or clear at night more often. IT was so thick, no one could see. Even Dizzy wouldn't light a torch in the fog, being so damp. As they heard the roar of water, they approached a pond of some sort-- and saw a figure on the other end. [break][break] And the figure could see three figures too. All odd shapes. [break][break] "Hello? Someone there? " Zachary called out. [break][break] Being an aggressive Pokemon, Tarot didn't hesitate as he released a telekinetic wave-- blasting water about and likely soaking whomever was there. [break][break] By the time the water, both the splash and the fog was pushed back-- Zachary saw him. [break][break] "A-Arron? Arron Torval? What are you doing here?" Zachary gasped, surprised. [break][break] All the while, Tarot didn't even flinch with an apology. [break][break]

Josh's reckless speed racing drove off the lady bug, but not the Swanloon-- who looked up at the startled Zachary, almost a bit hurt. Her little eyes seemed sad with wanting. Dizzy, however, unafraid of such things, didn't hesitate as he knelt down and gave a greeting to the little leaf-wrapped bug. It encouraged a smile from the little Swanloon. [break][break] Zachary still kept his distance. He KNEW that his fear was not rational, but he still couldn't get over it. THough it was impressive his pokemon were not bothered by them, since bug types were indeed stronger against psychic pokemon like Dizzy was. [break][break] "I'd Wish you slow down to see that I'm in shock here!" Zachary gasped at Josh's reckless driving, in comedic fright. [break][break] Trying to regain some composure, Zachary leaned against a giant mushroom that was part of the forest landscape. Being a big, red looking cushon that felt soft... [break][break] Of course he had no clue he was leaning against a giant Parasect. The moment it shifted-- Zachary jumped and looked, to see the giant mushroom move and the pincer and spiky legs of the Parasect looking up. [break][break] "GRREEAAAAHHH!!" Zachary gasped, jumping away from it. [break][break] Slightly startled but unbothered, the Parasect began to move away-- probably its own version of running away on its little legs with its big body. [break][break] As Zachary shivered uncontrollably-- Dizzy frowned, embarassed. The fox had enough and figured it was time for an intervention. [break][break] Rising up he took his stick and blew out the flame. As Zachary shivered, the fox took the blunt end of the stick and gave Zachary a not-so-gentle bonk of the head. [break][break] "OW!" Zachary gasped, snapped out of his fear to see the fox hit him with the stick. "What was that for, Dizzy! You taking lessons from Tarot now?!" he argued. [break][break] Dizzy gave a growl, and a few barks trying to show Zachary was being silly and rude being so scared of Swadloon, as the little bug stood there, showing her interest in Zachary. [break][break] Deciding to take matters into his own hands, Dizzy crossed over and dug through Zachary's pockets. As the fox did, he soon took out a few Pokeballs, containing Happy, and Rabsca. [break][break] The fox soon tossed them to the ground, and they snapped open, revealing both Happy and Rabsca. [break][break] "Mimimime!" Happy cheered as he emerged from the light. This was the first time Josh would get to meet one of Zachary's first pokemon-- a little Mime Jr. [break][break] The other one was one he got when they were at Mt. Pyre. A lucky find of a Rabsca-- a fully evolved bug and psychic type who was mysterious by nature-- and had a fondness for Zachary. However, it took Zachary a great amount of fear to get over the fact it was a bug-- and to accept its friendship. [break][break] "Dizzy, why are you doing this? " Zachary asked, and the fox gave some firm barks, pointing between Dizzy and Rabsca, showing that they were getting along-- and so should Zachary and the other bugs. [break][break] Josh probably could better understand what they were doing. An 'intervention' of sorts, as Happy didn't hesitate to waddle over to Swadloon. The little clown gave a happy cheer as if to say 'hello, nice to meet you,' and the Swadloon gave a happy chirp back. [break][break] Rabsca of course, remained still and observant but floated in mid-air by psychic power, holding its precious cargo with its pincers. [break][break]

The results were making more sense. She was a Ranger, which was impressive to Zachary. He had read and known about Pokemon Rangers. It was a fun profession-- you get to serve in the league as well as adventure in the wilds, protecting habitats, people and Pokemon. There was a noble sense of freedom with the role of Rangers. [break][break] As the Houndoom calmed down and sat down, Dizzy slowly approached. Though a Psychic type and a dark type were like oil and water-- they both were fire types and canines. Dizzy slowly approached, sniffing the air around the Houndoom. Dizzy gave a couple of friendly barks, hoping to 'strike conversation' with the dog.
[break][break] "Oh, I'm sorry! My name is Zachary, and this is my partner Dizzy. Well, we were just passing through the city to explore. I'm new to Hoenn. My parents are currently trying to find a place to move here as well. Anyway, just an average psychic trainer trying to learn as much as he can. " he said modestly. Still he had to admit, meeting a ranger-- even an odd one, was very cool. [break][break]

Did Zachary do it again? Was he too friendly and came off awkward? He was a bit straight forward at times, and never thought much of it. It was nice all the same but not as 'natural' as others mention. He hoped he didn't scare her like he was some kind of creep. Her jumpy nature made Dizzy cock his head, curious by her reaction. [break][break] Dizzy gave his best greeting to the Luxray. Curious the fox knelt down and gave a soft bark-- along with a sniff at the cat. A very canine like way of meeting the giant feline. While cats and dogs were not known to get along-- Foxes were not exactly simple dogs. [break][break] Zachary paused and tried to rephrase. "Sorry if I came off strong. I was just curious to what you were doing. I just started traveling more or less. I'm originally from Johto and wanted to see more of Hoenn. This is my first time in this city. I'm loving it so far" he explained as he looked at all the nature of the place. "Are there any special places to go or things to do here? There must some sightseeing spots here?" He asked, hoping to just give her casual conversation. [break][break] As they would discuss, Zachary decided to let out one of his more avian-incline Pokemon. He took out a Pokeball with a "V" on it, and cracked it open. Out came out his Xatu-- Prophet. [break][break] The psychic bird stood there unblinking, taking a glance around at the tree-filled city with its tree houses. While not showing any sign, the bird did look around with movements of its head. "Like the view, Prophet? This would make a great home, wouldn't it?" [break][break] The Xatu silently observed, wordlessly observing the place. It slowly began to waddle forward, looking around. It then stopped to stare at the girl-- which probably didn't help her nerves a bit. [break][break] "You know Prophet... it's kind of rude to stare, even if you are a fortune teller..." Zachary sighed. [break][break]

Zachary was a bit naive-- but the woman's cheerful demeanor was most welcomed. If anything, Dizzy was the one more on guard-- the Delphox who kept Zachary company. Zachary while a part of the league excursion team-- was also a willing explorerer to this new place. A young, impressionable trainer who technically was in over his head. His affiliation was clear, and was as he looked-- a cocked-eye optimistic and rookie trainer exploring the possibilities of the unknown. [break][break] "Nice to meet you. I'm Zachary Stellar. I'm a new member of the Exploration team. " he said, showing a sincere smile. [break][break] The fact he was so kind and his Pokemon was probably the more serious one, may of given good insight of Zachary's nature. Further, his presence of a psychic Pokemon was indeed a rarity. For a new trainer, he possessed a Delphox, showing he had raised him for a long time. he clearly was a trainer who had some experinece under his belt, but still acted... unworried to the risks around him. [break][break] "So far, I have been working to explore the habitats here. While these crystals are everywhere, there seem to be different types around different enviorment parts. I knew that waterways would be down here-- but not full grown trees or even small forest groves. "I do wonder what these crystals do and why they are so special. But i'm new to all this. Still if any chance this comes from some other world, I'd love to see it." he said with enthusasm[break][break] [break][break]

As the two Pokemon played their game, the two were so locked in their competive thinking-- they were ignorant to much else going on. It was tempting to try and mediate things, but the way they acted-- it sounded like getting in the middle of a rock and hard place. [break][break] However, at that moment-- an odd sound came belching its way into the field. An odd place, a Koffing appeared among the wet and highlands, passing through the tall grass. The look of the poison type Pokemon put Zachary on high alert and Dizzy's fur stood on end. "A koffing?! Uh oh..." Zachary gasped. [break][break] That gasp was needed as the Koffing, without any reason released a strong smokescreen and smog-- casting its less than pleasant air around them. Despite the danger-- Oranguru and Slowking continued their game, almost oblvious to the danger. [break][break] "Seriously?" Zachary coughed. [break][break] LUckily, among the Pokemon who been quiet and passive till now-- Prophet the Xatu was out and able to act. The psychic bird took to the air and acted on his trainer's interest. Seeing him in danger, the Pokemon released a strong Air Slash . The blade of air sliced through the smokescreen and cleared the air, the resulting breeze blowing the smoke away too. Dizzy and Zachary and the rest emerged as the Koffing fled from the air attack-- however, along with it, so did the Oranguru. As if in sudden urgency, the sage ape realized something and left-- leaving the game. [break][break] Calypso looked angry as the board remained incomplete, both confused and frustrated. [break][break] Not wanting to loose Oranguru, Zachary quickly gathered his friends attention. "Quick Let's follow it! Come on!" he urged. Oddly the one to lead the charge, was Slowking-- Calypso not ready to let their game end there. [break][break]

Zachary listened to Ever's explanation and was grateful that he kept Dizzy company and helped get back to him. Dizzy gave an enthusiastic bark as he agreed with Ever's words. "So you helped him when i went missing? Thank you," Zachary said, grateful to the ranger. He glanced back behind him, still holding Abra on his back. " As you can guess, my excursion into Meteor Falls didn't go exactly as I planned," he added with a look at the Abra. Abra just gave a small grunt, disagreeing with the events. [break][break] It was in that moment, Abra flashed-- teleporting once more. This time, he got off Zachary's back, and reappeared on the ground. Still angry at the psychic Pokemon for teleporting Zachary into a risky place alone, Dizzy gave a growl at the Abra, not happy. Abra looked up at the Delphox, but only caused more upheavel as Abra looked back-- and with a claw pulled an eye lid and stuck his tongue out at Dizzy. [break][break] Dizzy's flames started to grow with his anger, but Zachary stepped in. "Okay-okay. Look no harm done. Let's just be happy we are all safe. And Abra..." Zachary said as he looked to the Abra. "Can I have my Tarot cards back please?" [break][break] As the other Pokemon came with them to see what was going on, Abra paused as he held the cards in his claws. He looked to them, then back to Zachary. [break][break] Just as when they thought he was going to give it back-- Tarot suddenly shimmered again-- and poofed! He teleported again, and this time, they had no clue where he went. [break][break]"Hey!" Zachary called out but he never got an answer back. Dizzy was now really mad as he spout out fire, venting his frustration for stealing from his partner. After a moment, Zachary signed, deciding it wasn't worth it. "As much as I wanted Abra and wanted my cards back... i guess there are more important things. " [break][break] With that, Zachary turned to Ever. "Thank you. Maybe we can talk more when we're outside? Probably shouldn't stick around here with Dragapult's little cave in." Zachary suggested. [break][break]
