Lettle let out soft, whispering chirps at Umlaut's antics with the spores, seeming to find amusement with what he did and approving in her own way. She floated around the Toadscruel and then landed on top for a second. A friendly boop.[break][break]
"Yeah, I got them all gathered, but I'll need your help to move them over to the woods back there." It wouldn't be too far, probably a five or ten-minute walk there and back. Knight hoped it was far enough to deter them from coming back any time soon.[break][break]
He crouched to check on Jon, "Did you get some tasty snacks too?" He grinned at Cass' Trubbish. He found the little 'mon to be endearing, "I'm glad you could save some of the berries. We'll take them to the Canteen when we're done here." This he directed at Cass as he raised his gaze to her.

Looking at the bones the two of them were able to collect, Knight agreed that they had done their best, "We can only show her our offerings and see how she feels." Knight tucked the bones away into an empty pouch pocket and looked at Moiraine.[break][break]
"Let's fly back -- more practice." And it seemed like his Pelipper wouldn't mind acting as taxi for him either. He mounted up onto Moiraine and gave her a loving pat on the head, "Thanks for helping out."[break][break]
Once Loot Guard was ready, Knight took to the air and lead the way back to the Dojo since -- well, he figured he knew the way better (and he only went off course once!). It took them a little longer than walking (weird) but soon they were back to where they had started. Kay's hair was a bit of a mess from the flight but he was grinning from ear to ear.[break][break]
Yeah, Ride 'Mons were totally awesome![break][break]
"Alright, let's check on the Mandibuzz and see if she likes the bones we got." Knight hurried over to the nest and dug out the bones. He held them up as high as he could manage for the Mandibuzz to inspect, "We found a totally awesome place for you to move to. Safer for your Vullaby." If she had any, "And much nicer than here. Look, we brought some bones!"

Since Lettle had enjoyed tending to the school Berry Garden so much, Knight brought her along to check up on his own little patch of berry goodness. He whistled a happy tune as they approached the plot, and Lettle matched with her own tuneful chirping.[break][break]
This was a good day to do some gardening![break][break]
Or, it would be if there wasn't a freaking Fraxure trying to reach the newly grown berries on the small trees. They weren't ripe for picking yet and Knight wasn't going to lose them yet, "Oi! Thief!" [break][break]
The Fraxure let out a startled yelp, probably not expecting someone to show up and claim ownership to what was clearly a finders-keeper's sort of situation -- right? How could someone own a berry tree! They grew everywhere![break][break]
"Uh, no you don't!" Kay looked around for Palenniel, who had been taking a much deserved break. Once Knight had started yelling, however, the Mudbray had woken up and spotted the intruder, "Pal, use Bolldoze and teach this sneaky 'mon a lesson!" [break][break]
Pal stomped the ground and then charged at the Fraxure (not as impressive as it sounded, however, as as a Mudbray, he was kinda slow). He gathered momentum and the Fraxure, probably feeling bold, stood its ground. The two clashed and...[break][break]
Knight slapped a hand to his forehead, "I can not believe you knocked each other out." With a laugh, he dug through his pouch and took out a Premier Ball. He used that to catch the Fraxure and then rooted around for a potion to help heal Palleniel.

There were moments when it seemed like Knight wasn't doing so well, and then other times he thought he was actually gaining on Thea. Which gave him a much-needed confidence boost considering the difference in their skill levels.[break][break]
Badelaire had a lot of fun playing tag with Hammy. It was probably a bit unfair since Bau was six against Hammy's one but the group seemed to enjoying themselves so there was no need to interfere.[break][break]
Now Hercules... He really went to town with Zeus and didn't see a reason to go easy at all. Sure, Zeus might have some advantage -- which didn't stop Herc from doing his best and trying to earn points with some precision strikes. Not that Zeus would let his guard down but the challenge just got Hercules more fired up.[break][break]

Knight let out a yelp as the radio clipped to his belt came to life -- right! The walkie-talkie! He listened as Josh relayed information and answered, "I can see the bus and I'm going to approach the scene now, over." [break][break]
He held onto the radio and approached the bus with care, locking eyes with Vitani and he gave the Pyroar a smile, "Josh will be here soon." He reassured her but he wondered why she had stayed behind. Probably something Josh had trained her to do![break][break]
"Josh, this is Knight. I can see the bus now and the group of students. Two are laying down, over." He approached the group and tried to sound as reassuring as possible, "Hello, don't be afraid. I am..." He wondered how to address himself and then cleared his throat, "I am Student-Ranger Naito. My superior, Elite Ranger Devlin will be here soon. Let me see to the injured students." He released his Pignite and Cottonee, knowing they could help distract and comfort the other students while he checked on those with injuries.[break][break]
Kay was relieved to see they looked stable, if understandably hurt and tired, "Don't worry, you'll be rescued soon."[break][break]
Moiraine had landed with the other Pokémon and gently laid them in a safe spot. Since they didn't know if they were trainer Pokémon or wild, she merely communicated for them to stay put while the others returned. The she took off again and headed back towards Knight.

"Woo! Ice-cream! Snacks! SOUVENIRSSSS!" Knight got rowdy the more he cheered but he didn't show signs of slowing down. He marched with his two friends, whooping every so often and throwing his arms in the arm from excitement.[break][break]
He was just glad he didn't have to write a report or traipse through another Museum.[break][break]
Grinning at Gominha, Knight stopped his antics to admire the Wigglytuff's tuft, "It's the cutest in the land! Nay! The Universe!" And everyone had to know it! [break][break]
The group made their way to a strip of shops that sold all kinds of souvenirs for tourists, "Oooh, do you think your dad would like a bandana? Or maybe a fridge magnet? Oh! What about these sunglasses?" He put them on, the frames were made from two Flamigo and were the Pokémon's bright pink colour, "I think he'd suit them!"

"I'm awake!" Knight assured his cousin but even Gominha was concerned about him...? This tugged at his heartstrings and he hugged both his cousin and the cute Pokémon, "Sorry for worrying you both! I--" Well, truthfully, he didn't know what had happened...[break][break]
Fitzwilliam bonked him on the head with the end of his leek but it hadn't been too hard and Kay knew it was just his way of showing he cared, "Thanks." He grinned at his 'mon.[break][break]
He got up carefully and then grinned at Thea, "Yeah, I think I'm okay! I was planning to go buy some Lava Cookies for your dad... What happened?" He looked around and saw some locals nearby but something was off about them.[break][break]
As he gazed at the sky and at their surroundings, Knight caught glimpses of some Toxic Chains and he grabbed Thea's hand, "We should probably just go back to the Pension now."[break][break]
Hopefully nothing would get in their way...

Knight watched as Josh direction his team of Pyroar and a few of them broke off to venture further down. It was incredible seeing the control and confidence the Ranger had -- it was truly inspiring.[break][break]
With some care, Knight brought Moiraine in to land and let out a relieved sigh when everything went smoothly. Considering it was only their second time flying together, he had to give more credit to her. He took a berry out of his pouch to feed to the Pelipper and listened to Josh's assessment of the situation.[break][break]
And, of course, it was nice to get a compliment as well. He blushed a little but took it with a sure nod, taking the potions that were offered to him. With his next set of instructions, Knight re-mounted Moiraine and took off again. He glanced at Josh before he guided his 'mon to head down to where the injured Pokémon were.[break][break]
The wind slowly shifted direction, and with it came the smoke. Knight used arm to cover his face as they landed not too far from the Pokémon and got to work with healing them as quickly as he could. They were either first stage evolutions or baby Pokémon, which led him to conclude they probably belonged to the students.[break][break]
"Moiraine, carry the Pokémon back up to Josh while I check for any injured students." He held the Pelipper to load the Pokémon into her giant bill and she took off again, the back-draft of which helped to clear the smoke for a second. As soon as he spotted someone, Knight rushed over to help.[break][break]
Hopefully Josh's Pyroar would find a clear path and the Ranger would join him soon.

Knight couldn't help but be pleased when Loot Guard seemed to approve of the spot he had picked. His celebration didn't last long as a strong breeze blew by and rocked him and Moiraine. For a second, he thought he might fall but the Pelipper was quick to make sure they stayed upright and secure. [break][break]
At least it was a good demonstration of how protected the new nest area was as Knight noticed the wind was blocked by the reinforced siding. "Watch out, coming in to land!" Knight warned Loot Guard as he navigated Moiraine to an empty spot and touched down. Phew, it was good to be back on solid ground. "Thanks, you did a great job." Kay took a berry out of his pouch and fed it to Moiraine as Loot Guard inspected the area.[break][break]
"Yeah, a gift sounds great!" He grinned and looked around. Bones would be the most appealing thing to a Mandibuzz so he crouched and took his time picking out a couple he thought were the biggest, strongest and overall best looking, "How about these?" He held them up so Loot Guard could look at them.

"No, I don't think any of my current 'mons are suited for racing... Maybe Pal once he evolves? But I think he is built more for power rather than speed." Knight scratches his head, maybe he needed to catch some racing 'mons. Or, at the very least, he needed to work on getting some ride Pokémon lined up.[break][break]
Knight was beginning to learn something new about Lettle's personality -- she liked being fawned over and getting compliments. The Cottonee did a twirl of delight as Cass mentioned how cute she was before she got down to the serious business of using her Grass Whistle to ensure the bug 'mons stayed asleep.[break][break]
She didn't mind the help from Cass' 'mon either, letting out a soft trill of greeting before she focused on her own work.[break][break]
Walking up and down the rows, Knight was able to pick out each intruder and set them off to the side. He'd get Cass' help with carrying them into the woods nearby soon. Looking over, he was glad to see Cass enjoyed her task -- ora the very least, didn't mind helping him out like this.[break][break]
After about fifteen minutes, Kay was positive he had extracted every bug that had decided to part-take in the midnight feast, "How are you getting on with the berry check?" He called over to Cass.

These Pokémon smell very nice. All Comfey wear different flowers, so each of these Pokémon has its own individual scent.

The Pokémon Centre was in sight now and Knight stopped outside, turning to Cass, "I'm sure I'll remember after a good night's sleep! Probably something stupid, knowing me." He laughed it off, not wanting his friend to worry.[break][break]
Gideon said goodnight to Dermot and promised to see him soon -- which was very likely as Gideon was one of Knight's main Pokémon and he saw Cass nearly every day. It was cute to see their Pokémon get along. Chani gave Dermot a nod goodbye. She was a mon of few words.[break][break]
Before he would go into the Pokémon Centre, Kay recalled his Pokémon and gave Cass a pat on the shoulder, "Crazy night huh? I'm glad we got through it together. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?"[break][break]
Maybe they could meet up again before he high-tailed back to Slateport. He stifled a yawn and waved, heading into the Centre. It wouldn't be too hard to get a bed for the night and he made sure his 'mons got checked up as well.
