In a battle where life and death may very well be on the line? She feels very much out of her depth, taking a moment to process the situation that she nearly walk in herself, all things considered. "Come out, my dear Chamomile - Calendula, on your mark!" she is quick to bring out her whole arsenal (minus the Sinistea), a Chatot and a Solrock, unglowing, joining their sides. "Hyper Voice - Chamomile, prepare a Solar Beam of your own," she instructs as the glowing Solrock's attention is yet on the other, but hopefully the loud screech of the bird flying closer to the foe is enough to disturb them that perhaps, there is a chance for escape if they aren't able to take it down.[break]

Though there is a certain tragedy unfolding behind the Magearna's origins within the Mechanical Kingdom, its unsuccessful existence amidst so many others of its kind for the one granting life to it, there is still a certain ... pride that fills Morrighan's chest as she glimpses at Lapis Lazuli, the one standing in front of her. There is determination to carve out a nice life for it, somehow, even amidst all the war events that are happening, and to guide it through this world somehow. Perhaps, it would eventually find its own meaning, too - but until then ...[break]

The storyteller furrows her eyebrows over having to make a choice between both bows. "No ... both would definitely be too much," she mutters to herself before guiding the Magearna in front of a mirror, holding both bows to her left ear in tandem, "what do you think yourself?" The mechanical Pokémon's attention, however, is piqued by an approaching Pichu, one that Morrighan only notices first in the mirror before looking down to the small creature. "Now, who do we have here - hello, little one," she greets the Pokémon with a nod, looking around if there isn't a trainer to go along with it.

There is bemusement over his words, over his disdain over the place of her choosing - it is to be expected and perhaps she could do better than displease someone upon meeting them first, showcasing behaviour that might be considered meme-able by the broad internet, and over a professional matter at that, but there is interest in taking in his reaction, too, to see what kind of person he even is to begin with. As much as he observes her, she observes in return, under a gleam of poised mischief, if there ever is such a thing, quite living to the tact of her own melody. "I shall make notes for the future, should such a thing ever occur again," she muses, not believing her own words. It's probably the only go she ever has at this, and little does she know what it would bring ...[break]

Fortunately, Morrighan does not deal with someone who is - forgetful in the act of acting, so at least she can be sure to get something in return if she helps. It might not be the most interesting stories he'll share with her now, but she takes the loss for what it's worth. "Now, there is something for everyone here, isn't there? Or however the saying goes," she remarks, though time is of essence, too, as the market is only bound to get more crowded by the minute and she is not that huge of a fan of crowds. Fortunately, the run-in proves to be of mild nature with nothing have happened too much, and the Chespin seems quite attentive and retrives the hat that, with its lack on the top of the other's head, revealed hair of a striking purple colour. Now ... it's recent that she saw a similar if not the same colour, though she wouldn't want to assume on just this.[break]

In most situations, she also would have just left it at that if there isn't also that little ... curiosity, still, that she cannot quite place the other as much. "I'm glad to hear," Morrighan thusly remarks, continuing the conversation as it goes, "so you have been working all evening? Of course, only if you're inclined to share."

With interest, Morrighan is writing notes down as the conversation goes - there are tidbits she heard of before, and others that she would love to learn more about once the 'main story' of sorts concluded. It does seem like whatever there may be, the champion in front of her has a special place in his heart for a certain Legendary, or Legendary Trio. "I see ... so the downpour is moreso connected with those three ... fascinating," she mutters more to herself as ink flies over the page. Years of doing this has made her quite proficient in keeping eye contact while writing things down, occasionally, looking down to ensure if her writing still checks out. She definitely has to seek out a larger library once she's out of Littleroot Town, feeling a desire to crossreference - find the divergences, and the similarities to other iterations that circulate.[break]
[break]
She raises an eyebrow of the story of Lugia being told, and the current circumstances that seem to prevail in this very present day. Dire straits indeed ... though therein does not necessarily lay her personal interest, although it does make her wonder whether or not she would ever be in immediate danger of such a force. "Mh ... and Lugia has not been sighted before? In all those years?" Morrighan wants to make sure she got it correct as she pens a question mark into her notebook. Definitely something to investigate further, if she's able - perhaps, if she dares.

Curiosity outweighs any kind of other emotion in this moment, making her listen to the other with as much attention as she can spare with a volatile Pokémon - volatile spirit-of-sorts nearby, the peripheral of her eyes ever-looking for that strange brilliance now again. It's ... odd for sure, though the voice of the other - marked by prolonged silences - is also revealing a different tale. It urges her to study this phenomena altogether all the more, but ... of course, danger cannot be fully exempted from such a thing.[break]
[break]
"I see ... thanks for warning me, and for sharing what you know with me," she remarks in turn, bowing politely to emphasise her words. "I guess my curiosity nearly got the better of me," Morrighan hums, although she still very much desires to observe those glowing creatures from closer-by, it doesn't seem like they would be prone to such a thing. Instead, however, there is a different kind of interest piqued. "It almost sounds like you are quite familiar with the situation yourself-" is as far as she comes next, however, words interrupted with a sudden movement in the corners of her eyes-[break]

Immediately, she brings out Chrysanthemum the Lunatone, putting it between the glowing Solrock and themselves, "Harden, quick!" She doesn't like seeing her partner take the damage for them, but it's the quickest she can think of right now.

Slipping out of Morrighan's hands is quite easier than it would have expected, leaving a maniac cackle in its wake (or maybe, its trainer also let it go voluntarily, not quite caring for what havoc this little teacup would cause). It makes it feel at the height of its power, excitedly floating around as its liquid seem to swap over left and right. Drops may be left here and there, but it doesn't stop its excitement from coming forth.[break]

Today is a day for cake! In fact, to be enjoyed with or instead of cake, as today, it would finally find someone to sap life force from ... Immediately, it targets its victim, finding interest in a different kind of tea ghost, as it seems. But, of course, it would be much tastier! "Hello, kind sir! Would you like to have a dear sip from me?" It bows gracefully, offering its proud creation of exquisite taste to the other.

It's not too long that the two are on their walk, flanked by a variety of her floating and flying Pokémon, that they encounter another, a curious little being that walks up to them with no shame in his little eyes, only wonder and something that reminds her much of the children she used to read to back home, and throughout all her travels. It makes the Magearna halt in its steps, as much as it does to hers. Curious eyes that meets curiouser ones as Morrighan crouches down to greet the Togepi. She knows of its nature, and how she sometimes refrained from interacting with it, unwanting to possibly sully its joy, but now as she thinks back to Lutgarde's Togekiss that saved her before, and now as she feels her heart warm ... it's a little strange.[break]
[break]
"Hello there," she greets with a gentle voice and a nod - a tip to her hat that is scratched and bruised, much like the gloves she wears, from the events that procured inside the tunnels underneath the castle. "Are you here to greet the lady? It just woke up," she hums to the Togepi that hums in turn, giving the Magearna a joyful smile, too. He begins to sing a melody that is easily joined in by the Chatot, further harmonised by Morrighan herself.[break]

It's a lone song that echoes through the wastelands, and yet, there is a distinct feeling of ... not being quite as lonely anymore. "If you are on your own, too, would you like to come with us?"

In all honesty, Morrighan is starting to feel rather intrigued by where she finds herself in - the many tales that would be able to witness here, first-hand ... but, the thing with the screaming is still distracting as ever. It almost feels like as if she is in some kind of meme as she is prompted to join the scream, much less when things are starting to turn to the other side of wrong - not only is the Scream Tail quite unhappy about their participation (well, Cian's, really), but ...[break]

Flabberghasted, for a moment, she can only watch as a Walking Wake emerges, hellbent on a rampage as it seems. Wordless, she nods towards Cian as he motions for them to run - because running is the only sensible thing to do for sure. But what the hell is going on, she wonders.[break]

Morrighan is an inherently selfish person. While not wholly uncaring towards the rest of the world, she would prioritise herself above much else if it came down to it. She is quite of belief that there is nobody else in this world that is closer to herself than she is - that there is no one to understand her more than she ever would. Even if that understanding is an amalgamation of nothing. Even if ... truly, can she even understand herself? In this very moment, she feels alien in her own skin, as comfortable as she is at the same time - strange to find herself caring for another so much, even as some would argue that Magearna is just scrap metal, put together with no clear intention or purpose no more. The age of kingdoms and fairytales seems much over, and yet, Morrighan's head is full of it.[break]
[break]
And right now, she is taking the Magearna to do one of her favourite acts - shopping. A mundane, normal thing, but she couldn't just let the precious princess wander around with nothing to show - and its mere existence is worthy of celebration, and that's how she wants to go on about it. The colours on its body might have faded, but she is also working on breathing some life back into that, once she'd find a suitable dye that would work with this type of steel. For now, though ... Looking at two types of blue bows, she holds one to each of Magearna's ear-like constructs, "now ... what do you think? Which one do we like more?" The Chatot on her shoulder is as unimpressed and as unhelpful as ever as she contemplates whether or not to take the lighter or darker shade of fabric.
