Katharina listens attentively to what the other is saying, even if her gaze is straying after she heard that the other hasn't seen a Wailord ... has this been a misreport? But how would one misreport such a thing? That's ... her attention is then captured by a Shaymin that balances on the Lapras' head, making her stop for a moment, and then chuckle.

"A singer? That's really cool! Maybe I can go to one of your performances one day." The idea of non-live audio is still slightly baffling to her, so she doesn't think of that as an existing option. "It's really good that you know some firstaid, a lot of pokémon really appreciate it ... and ... good point ..."

She unfortunately doesn't have a fully-fledged flying type yet, but ... she does call for her Natu Teein and her Poltchageist Arthur. Arthur could float. It could also float while balancing Teein on its head. "Can you tag-team and do some teleport and float shenanigans up above? Get a visual on where that Wailord might be that we're looking for."

The duo nods in agreement, then goes to work - teleporting up, but nothing. And then, another teleport somewhere else in the sky, and then ... ... for a solid five seconds, the duo vanishes, before they reappear right in front of Katharina again. Drenched. "What-" But she could think of why. The Natu probably teleported into the ocean accidentally ... and then it caused some of Arthur's matcha to spill into the ocean.

The bitterness of that tea is definitely enough of a wakeup call for any injured pokémon, it seems, as suddenly, a massive Wailord emerges from underneath them!

The mention of injured Spheals immediately make Katharina look more alert, but she relaxes as the other tells her that she's got that covered. "Oh, no, thank goodness I didn't. I'm a nurse, sorta aligned with the rangers at the moment since my ... well, anyway." Her usual pokémon center has been destroyed and frankly, it appears to Kat like they were looking for people to simply put around anywhere and nowhere. "Anyway, so I've been told there's an injured Wailord here somewhere, but I really have not managed to find it yet."

She looks out once more, but there's only the steady shine of Numbahs swimming a bit farther away - she, too, is looking for the Wailord. Has it already sunk ... that would be concerning. "Are you a nurse, too?" she asks, curious. She doesn't think she's ever seen the other before, given her lack of media knowledge that isn't a physics (and now biology and ecology) book.

"Oh, I gotta warn ahead, too, I'm not the best baker in the world, but I can follow instructions!" Katharina squeezes into the conversation as she takes the apron with a thankful nod. It almost sounds like a contradiction, given that baking is simply following the instructions of a recipe, but somehow, she just couldn't get the hang of it. It seems like a particularly difficult experiment, and almost as difficult as the unification theory itself.

However, with Islwyn's guidance, it's all done almost in a flash. The Applin and Froggiursa are not always super focused on the task, or at least Froschl isn't. He happily follows the Applin's gesturing to go this place and that, and sometimes also farther beyond as the two of them truly seem to be stuck together for almost eternity. "I think we should probably see about washing ... or well, Froschl would want to return to his pond, and then the water there can do the trick. I hope."

It is fact that the others are returning home, too, just in time to enjoy some freshly baked cake.

Home. Huh.

Katharina halts for a moment, taking in her surroundings. Strange how the world might spin - she's never thought she'd ever consider anything home that isn't the stone walls of the Sturmes Turmes, the constant brzzting of electricity and computers. "That was very nice, Islwyn- Izzy? We should do that again! I think Hwaddyn and Froschl also are good friends now," she grins.

Froschl is hurt badly by the hit-on attack, even as they also need the Talonflame to be in reach for their attack, as the Froggiursa is almost exclusively a melee attacker. Still, the Rocket surprises Katharina by using Roost as a next attack - flying out of reach as the snow persists on its last legs. There's another moment of respect, frankly, on Katharina's end as she looks at the recovering Talonflame. She does prefer seeing pokémon getting better - not worse. However ... she also would need to figure out a way to knock it out.

"Ah, shit-" she swears, only to notice that. Yeah. She loves Froschl dearly as he becomes more and more drowsy with the temperature, and actually ... "Go Rest- gods, this is gonna look so stupid," she adds under her whispered breath. She just hopes that he won't actually have his mucus harden enough for a solid shell to form, but that should still be worth it ...

And without further ado, the bear frog goes into hibernating.

He does visibly recover like the Talonflame and frankly, he probably wouldn't have been able to tank another attack either ... but he also seems fast asleep now. Just one more moment as both pokémon seem to recover ... and Katharina puts her hands over her ears. It's just moments before Froschl starts Snoreing powerfully.

Numbahs, unfortunately, isn't big enough to swim around on, so Katharina has been provided with a Lapras to ride on as they tend to the various injured pokémon that have been affected by Kyogre's wrath. Froschl is by their side holding the kit (so that it could still be opened with how sticky the guy is) steadily while Katharina is on the lookout. "I think we got a ping for a severe case somewhere over there ..." Katharina murmurs, watching Numbahs' swift movements in the water, before her gaze is fixed somewhere else. Her Dewott has a slightly different mission - find any emergency case that has been missed so far.

"Oh, hey there!" Katharina then shouts out towards another person out on the sea, guiding their Lapras towards it. "Have you seen, okay. The question is kinda stupid. But have you seen an injured Wailord around here?" It's ... it's hard to miss, but there oddly also has been an absence of it around the location that she's been sent.

It seems like Teein's pride clearly was broken, so Katharina just gave her a pat on the hand with a sigh screaming exasperated fondness. After a moment has passed, she then picked up her Natu, just before she flinches at the sudden voice of a stranger. However, she quickly settles upon seeing that he (probably) doesn't have any hostile intentions ... ...

"Huh," she squints then, her attention immediately caught by the strange pokémon that the other is riding. (And that face ... familiar. She'd have to think on that later, though.) "Ah, sorry, was a bit startled. What kind of pokémon are you riding? It looks like Raikou ... in a way ..." She squints. "But it's not, is it?"

Another pause. "So ... beings of legends also have paradoxical counters, possibly?" That's ... interesting. She does know her way around legendary pokémon (mostly), but she's fairly new to this particular research - as most people are, really, given how recent of a phenomena it is. She wonders why it might even have been dubbed paradoxical, but it's a question that might be beyond answering at the moment.

"Ah, and, yeah, where exactly are we? We're still in the Great Chasm, right?" It does look like what she's read about Area Zero, but ... what. "We are kind of here by ... accident. My Teein here got a talent for teleporting, and I mean that genuinely," she adds, patting the slightly defeated little head body.

"Smart like starting a losing battle?" Katharina spits, but immediately something in her voice also wavers at that. Because she isn't sure if she isn't about to start a losing battle, either, but she knows ... she has some wildcards at her disposal should it really be needed. She still ... isn't sure if she should actually.

Numbahs seem to stand even more to attention at the remark about her name, frowning as Kat does about it. "It's a perfectly good name," Katharina says with certainty, before shaking her head. She tenses up as the Rocket goes to take something - and then relaxes and intensifies her frown as she sees it's a pack of cigarettes.

She is ... baffled. On one hand, the lack of battle is a relief for the tent behind her, on the other hand ... that's not the usual Rocket interaction. "Smoking is bad for you," she frowns, in tandem with Numbahs not wanting to take that smoke - a shell is thrown to cut off the lit end of the cigarette, a quick, precise throw. "If it's a battle or a smoke break, I'll take the battle."

Arguably, a battle could bear worse consequences, but the smell of smoke is something that makes Katharina's hair stand on edge, as smoke always propels them into a state of oh shit, what went wrong this time and what do we have to fix?.

The Rocket's words ring true, but a tired mind had liked to still believe. Katharina has never fought in war - and truly, she wished she wasn't here. "And why's it like this?" she spits in trembling defiance. She's here now, with Numbahs doing her goddamn best to hold her own as her trainer flails. Horror is visible on Katharina's face as the Ceaseless Edge not only finds its target and strikes true, but also seems to cut through the veil of hesitation that has cloaked Katharina like the freezing snow.

"Numbahs!" she calls out as the Froslass is switched for a Talonflame. The Dewott puts on a brave face, lifting her chin and looking at the Talonflame challengingly - but only momentarily, as it's already making a beeline for an attack, one that Dewott doesn't try to dodge. Can't, as her injuries slowly rise to her head. Still, she comes face to face- an Aqua Tail prepared to strike, but.

Water splashes uselessly as Numbahs' steady glow dims almost entirely.

It could've splashed Katharina, as she seems to shake herself with newfound realisation, determination. Five out of six remain. "Yeah, they tend to be the best of me," she says, trying to hide the trembling in her voice as she recalls Numbahs and takes out another pokéball. A Teddiursa Froggiursa appears, fully coated in honey, aware of the battle.

"Play Rough!" she calls, knowing that they'd have to be as fast as possible before Froschl would go into hibernation because of the temperatures here ... (or the honey coating freezes as the snowfall persists for now). She is aware of the stickiness of her pokémon, and hopes perhaps that some of it would rub off on the Talonflame, inhibiting its flight or simply glueing Froschl to it if it makes an attack that requires contact.

"I think an Apple cake would be quite fitting for today, not? Maybe Apple and Honey together!" Katharina suggests with a grin, looking at the duo. "Still quite baffling how much Froschl likes honey, really." But mixed with some ruby red apples, it's indeed a divine combination ... "We could also throw some caramel in there if we're feeling like it!"

Froschl quietly listens to the proceedings and jumps excitedly, also causing the Applin to be lifted into the air at times. They do not take long to arrive at Iswlyn's home with their home just right around the corner - construction's mostly finished, except a few extra labs that they'd like to have. Froschl happily leaps up the stairs as Katharina takes a look at the main ingredients already on the table. "Thank you a lot, Iswlyn," Katharina then also adds, perhaps a bit late seeing how Froschl is already reaching for some berries.

"What do you guys think?" she adds the pokémon, where Froschl would immediately point towards honey and apples, as predicted by Katharina, but he also stops for a moment, looking at the Applin with a questioning look - if Hwaddyn might need help to move around the table to show things.

"Oh, I'd love to!" Katharina immediately agrees with a grin. "I think Froschl will also quite like doing what he can, if he can ... but we'll figure something out. He's quite fond of sweets." One could even say he has a Sweet Scent at times, but that's definitely got nothing to do with him being a bear type or anything.

"Are you thinking of baking a cake? I hope the harvests may be bountiful ... god knows we might need it for the winter," Katharina sighs, but her mind also seems attached to the goal. Now that Froschl also has heard the mention of cake and baking, he excitedly turns to the Applin, gesturing wildly with one free hand.

Arthur looks at the other tea ghost (probably ghost?) with interest and then astonishment as it's been offered a sip! "Oh, oh my," it replies, a bit flattered, but also ... "Would you not rather take a sip of mine? I got some exquisite matcha to offer!" (One could almost also insert the spiderman pointing meme here.)

"I wasn't aware that there's other tea around, too! What do you taste like?" it also adds to its questions, actually quite excited about meeting another tea that could talk. It actually, once upon a time, tried talking to more teas after Katharina has told it that there's other tea around. Maybe that's the kind that they've been talking about...? they think excitedly.
