Aisling prepared for one final dive, the golden light of the setting sun casting a warm glow over Slateport's tranquil waters. The sea was calm, as if holding its breath for this last adventure. With a deep breath, Aisling plunged into the depths, her Alolan Ninetales following close behind, its tails shimmering like ribbons of moonlight. The water around them grew cooler as they descended, the familiar underwater landscape now tinged with a sense of farewell. Among the coral and rock formations, she searched with a practiced eye, her heart beating in sync with the ocean's rhythm.

Aisling's lungs were beginning to hurt. She suddenly felt a wave of appreciation for Water type pokemon and the strength they needed to travel through water. Or maybe it took less energy for them since their bodies were adapted to swimming and didn't have so many spindly limbs in the way. She sighed, letting out a few bubbles, and dived deeper.

Ninetales shook its head solemnly, as though disappointed that its trainer had failed the same trick so many times. Aisling herself flushed, thinking that she was paying for her overconfidence. Nonetheless, she clambered back on the Mantine and tried the same trick. Practice makes perfect.

Walking a step behind Clover, Aisling shoved her hands in her pockets to give off the illusion that she didn’t particularly care about herding the flock. But Ninetales remained closeby, a wary eye kept on the Mareep in case they suddenly decided to flee again. Aisling did not trust Clover not to lose control of the pokemon a second time.

She raised an eyebrow at Clover’s sudden confession and tilted her head to the side. "What makes you say that?" She inquired. "Did you accidentally electrocute yourself as a kid or something?" She added, as brusque as ever. Or was this another excuse for how they were unable to control the Mareep?

Ninetales paddled around the water surface, seemingly enjoying making Flareon, who remained on the shore, jealous. The Alolan pokemon dived down deep into the water before launching itself up as though making a performance. The fanciful display made Aisling irritated, but this was quickly remedied as Ninetales thrust into her hands a treasure which the Pokémon had scooped up along the way.

Ninetales swam ahead, its nine radiant tails casting an ethereal glow that illuminated the path. As the pair ventured deeper, the water grew cooler, and the surrounding light dimmed. In this twilight zone of the sea, something unusual caught Aisling's eye—a faint glimmer among the shadows, buried partially in the sand.

Aisling's first attempt at the Primarina Twist had not gone as planned. As she soared through the air, the timing of her second flip had been just a fraction off, causing her to miss the crucial landing on the Mantine's wingspan. Instead of the graceful finish she had envisioned, she splashed into the water with a loud, unceremonious crash. The disappointment stung, but she wasn't about to give up that easily.

Determined to get it right, Aisling paddled back to the surface, catching her breath as she prepared for another go. The Mantine circled back around, seemingly unfazed by the mishap. Angus called out words of encouragement from the shore, and with a nod to herself, Aisling refocused. She mounted the Mantine again, feeling its powerful muscles tense beneath her as they sped across the waves. This time, she kept her mind sharp, her body attuned to every movement.

Aisling had just finished watering her garden when she noticed something unusual out of the corner of her eye. Among the neatly arranged rows of berries, a small shape slithered through the foliage. Her eyes narrowed as she stepped closer, realising that a Tatsugiri had found its way into her garden.

It was busy helping itself to the ripe berries she had painstakingly cultivated. "Not today, fucker." With a swift, decisive movement, she grabbed a Pokéball from her belt, her mind already set on capturing the intruder. The Tatsugiri barely had time to react before she called out to Flareon, who leaped forward with a quick, controlled burst of fire that cornered the Pokémon.

With the Tatsugiri momentarily stunned, Aisling didn’t hesitate. She threw the Pokéball with practiced precision, watching as it struck the Tatsugiri and pulled it inside with a flash of light. The ball wobbled once, twice, then clicked shut. Aisling exhaled slowly, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth.

Ninetales nudged at another rock. This time, Aisling was cued into her Pokémon's intentions. Together, trainer and pokemon shoved over a large hunk of coral to reveal the treasure underneath. It seemed that it was worthwhile keeping Ninetales out of its pokeball after all.

The impact of the frozen Bronzong against the wall sent out a rumble that Aisling felt in her bones. She gritted her teeth, sending out Flareon into the fray. The fire pokemon looked around, taking into account its surroundings. At the same time, the Claydol crashed into the opposite wall.

Aisling didn't need to be told twice, silently grateful that she was not the one making the decisions. She supposed that was why Howard was admin and she was but a lowly grunt.

"Flare Blitz!" She cried out, pointing at the portion of wall that the Claydol had already indented.
[break][break]
With a determined growl, Flareon crouched low, the flames along its fur growing brighter, hotter, until they erupted into a blazing inferno. In a swift motion, Flareon launched itself forward with incredible speed, its entire body engulfed in flames.

The impact was immediate and explosive. Flareon collided with the wall with a force that shook the room, the sheer heat from its body melting the surface on contact. In moments, the intense heat and force had burned a gaping hole through the wall, revealing the outside world beyond.

Meanwhile, a green tick appeared on the computer screen and Aisling had never yanked out the flash drive so fast in her life, 'safely eject' be damned. "It's done! Adios!" And she dived through the hole, Flareon close behind.

By now, there was not a trace of Aisling's bored demeanour left. Stress and adrenaline had heightened her senses and Howard's explanation only solidified that they were in deep trouble now. She had been relying on Claydol's teleportation to get them out even if the reconnaissance mission failed.

Ninetales had already materialised by the time the door had been blown off. As the dust settled, out floated the culprit - a Bronzong.

"Freeze-Dry!" Aisling called out. Now she was in her element. Though Aisling was hardly a confrontational person, she always seemed to fair better when brute force was required.

With a graceful flick of its nine tails, the Alolan Ninetales called upon the icy powers within. Crystalline mist began to swirl, condensing into a focused beam that forward with incredible speed. The Bronzong was struck, and the air around it crackled as the extreme cold seeped into its metallic body, Freezing it.

"You mean we gotta physically break out of here?!" Aisling shouted, whirling back to the computer screen. She was ready to summon Flareon and burn a hole in the wall if need be.
