The empoleon complies with a nod. He lies down horizontally, carefully nudges the finneon to rest behind his crown, and speeds up. Together, the pair breaks the momentum of the waves easily. Finally, the empoleon waves the finneon goodbye to return to his trainer's side once more.

It's a terrifying sight, obviously, but Erin's eyes take in the form of the venusaur as the scientific wonder that it is, as well. She's never seen a venusaur this beautiful. Beautiful in its suffering.

A gengar naturally can't be poisoned, but his trainer was not gifted with the same body. When a wave of toxins are thrown their way, he has to pick her up in his arms and

fly towards the venusaur. Coupled with the other fire attack it's receiving, the venusaur might suffer burns as severe as the flora around them.

Private beaches in Slateport are where the best waves can be found. Erin isn't surprised to find a couple of surfers had snuck into private property to practice their sport. It's still a security breach, though, and as such she has to resort to her empoleon's help to drive the intruders away.

Erin sits on the beach's golden sands as she waits for her empoleon to return, eyes fixed on the horizon. The view is almost as entertaining as a motion picture's, but her attention keeps drifting back to the islets in the distance.

Good decision that it was, too, considering that moments later she'd find a shiny baby. The pink tinge to the castform's body has Erin's features softening ever so slightly. It reminds her of the Kalosian poetry she liked as a teen. La vie en rose, so many years ago. A beat passes and her poker face returns.

later, the castform has taken notice of the gengar and his trainer. It attempts a headbutt, but the gengar is quick to react. To anticipate, even. Soon after, the castform's cowlick-like appendage falls to the grass. Erin can throw her second safari ball of the day.
