The lizard smiled upon seeing the Rowlett do a similar gesture then him. In the end, it hadn't been a bad thing for Balder to leave him here. The reason why he had been left here was saddening, if anything, but if that had not happened, he would've never met the owl that he had now befriended. But now, he had a friend he could rely on if something ever happened.[break][break]

Suddenly, a familiar smell came under the Charmander's nose. The pokemon turned it's head, trying to identify where the smell came from. Suddenly, from the entrance, he could see a tall figure waving at him. Could it be? Was the Alolan Avenger already back for him? The fire lizard stood up, but dared not to move. Not yet at least.[break][break]

The Charmander extended a hand to his new friend. Maybe they didn't spend much time together, but it was a good time nonetheless. And to finish their meeting, the lizard want to shake "hands" with the Rowlett before leaving. Assuming the owl does shake his hand, the Charmander would smile before running off to be reunited with his trainer.

As the invader arrived upon the fields of the Garden, he would find the berry trees decorated for christmas. Even Terra the Torterra had decorations covering the tree upon his back. As the creature approached, footprints could be noticed in the snow, leading away from the Garden. Struck by curiosity, the Beheeyem followed the prints. After a couple of minutes from tracking down the source, the psychic type arrived upon... a disaster.[break][break]

A destroyed snowman, snowballs flying around between a Feraligatr and a Blaziken, a Typhlosion dancing in the middle of the field and an exasperated Balder watching this chaos unfold. What was supposed to be a fun and relaxing time at the garden ended up becoming a complete Nightmare. The Alolan Trainer was about to call everyone back into their pokeball, until he noticed the Beheeyem. Or actually something behind it.[break][break]

As the alien-style pokemon turned around, it was met with the fangs of a Tyrantrum. The Beheeyem as about to teleport away until Tyrantrum closed its mouth upon it, using the Bite move on it. As soon as he saw that, Balder threw a pokeball to catch the creature, hoping to free it from the maws from the T-Rex.

"This is definitely going to be unfair for her..." Balder was now standing in front of the Mauville Gym, where he had applied for a gym battle a couple of months ago but had been unable to proceed to do his challenge. At least, until now. And she had offered a 1v1, one pokemon each to lots of trainers to allow people to move around in the gym circuit.[break][break]

Was that offer still standing? Balder didn't know. But standing or not, he had brough the one pokemon that could be a massive danger to this whole gym: Solgaleo, the Avatar of the Sunne. Steal and Psychic, able to use fire moves too. Definitely the Arch-Nemesis of the gym that Cait had designed. Taking a deep breath, Balder pushed the doors, entering the location.[break][break]

"Miss Alfric? I'm coming in for the gym challenge." As he entered the gym, he noticed the maze before him. Feeling it would be rude to go over it or to burn it down, also because he knew how much pain it could be as a gym leader to see his attraction destroyed, the man decided to follow the path that his instinct pointed. Hopefully, it would lead to the gym leader?

Well, that was a cute reaction. Twirling a curl of her shiny hair before rushing head first, hoping he wouldn't notice anything. Balder couldn't help but smirk at that action. "Well, that sure was a cute reaction. Oh, and you're welcome.". Slowly, the man followed her, listening to her speak. At first, she proceeded to mention the rocks in the cave. If Balder knew one thing, it was that this cave held nothing special in it anymore. But maybe that was different in the past?[break][break]

Suddenly, she stops. Fumbling with the Pen. Balder catches up to her, standing before her as she blushes and tells the true reason of her visit. Learning about the region. And for that, she decided to start with the legends of the region? That was the same thing he did. Balder smiled gently and dropped a gentle hand on one of her shoulders. "Honesty suits you better, you know? And your goal is noble."[break][break]

The man moved his hand away and began to slowly move forward. He raised his left hand, using his power as an avatar to produce light from the palm of his hand. He then looked backward and extended his free hand towards Daphne, for her to grab onto. "It's a good thing you decided to start with the Cave of Origin. One could even say there's a signification to that action. I'll tell you what I know of the region and its legends. Feel free to ask questions too. And to hold my hand if you're uncomfortable, because we might go in the darkest parts of the cave as I tell you everything."

"Gym Leader-sama, we have an Emergen-... What are you trying to do?" As one of the female attendants surged into the room at the top of Central Tower, what she found was Balder, trying to take a pose alongside his Tyranitar and Feraligatr. Small pokemons around them seemed to be happy with their display till they noticed the lady. Balder looked at her and smiled. "Oh hey Nat, What can I help you with?"[break][break]

The lady named Nat wanted to facepalm and tell his gym leader to stop fooling around, but now wasn't the time. "There's a weird pokemon going around and hitting someone. We were unable to identify the individual being struck due to it's hood covering his face." Balder's face turned serious. Trouble in his city? That couldn't be tolerated. But what intrigued him was the pokemon causing such chaos. Just what kind of creature could it be? It didn't seem like any he had heard before.[break][break]

"I'll go check it out. Falco, we're up." The man threw a pokeball in the air, allowing Falco the Braviary to prepare for the flight. As the Gym leader got upon the bird's back, he opened a side of the tower with his remote control. Once the door was done opening, the Braviary began to sprint before emerging into the sky, diving towards the city. Then, the creature deployed it's wings, taking flight and heading towards the location where the trouble was happening.[break][break]

The bird circled over Sootopolis before spotting the mass of pastel colors running after a human. Following Balders direction, Falco dived forward, using the move Sky Drop to land before the Hatterene. "End of the line, smacking-lad. No idea which hole you came from, but I won't let you hit the citizens of Sootopolis any longuer." The man disembarked his bird pokemon and walked towards the new creature, wondering if it had a trainer.

"OH! OH! OH! MOVE IT PEOPLE!" A voice that sounded a lot more energetic compared to Fernando's imitation resonated in the hotel as the doors swung open, allowing a metallic lion to step in, followed by a tall man wearing red pants and an open santa vest, revealing part of his naked upper body. Black gloves covered his hands and forearms and black boots and belt completed the look. Santa Balder was in the place.[break][break]

"Leo, time to radiate your blessing on everyone in here." The lion Nodded before jumping to reach the highest place. Reaching the desired location, the lion roared and unleashed some rays of light to light the place up like a disco ball, but using a light not too strong to blind people. Balder smiled as he looked at everyone in here. "Merry early Holidays folks! Time to go wild!"[break][break]

As he said this, he threw 5 pokeballs in the air, unleashing the pokemons they contained: Coalossal, Aurorus, Yanma, Alolan Raichu and Braviary. "Colossus, go give some heat to those that feel cold!" The Coalossal grunted before moving in a location and sat down, emitting enough heat to warm people up. Balder looked at his Aurorus. "Glacies, can you do a Skating Ring like we practised? Outside of the place of course." The aurorus lowered it's head and rubbed it against Balder's face to agree to the request before heading out to do its job.[break][break]

"Now... As for you three. Time to set up the mood." Balder pulled out 3 mistletoes from his bag and handed them to Yanma, Alolan Raichu and Braviary. "Chosuke, Hover around the dessert table for anyone who wants an excuse to kiss. Falco, follow FERNANDO SILPH for anyone that would seem to want to kiss him, or anyone around them at least. Buzz, patrol the surroundings and be ready to be waved at for an excuse." The 3 creatures took the items and took flight to their respective locations, awaiting any movements.

While one of the wolf went more on the defensive against the walking Alligator, using "Protect" to deflect the glowing fist, the other one dropped its calm demeanor to retaliate. Sinking poison fangs into the leg of the Blaziken, the rooster winced and was visibly angry from betting bitten like this. The poison flowing from the fangs entered the wound on the fighting chicken, poisoning it as well.[break][break]

Deciding to not let this opportunity go to waste, Blaziken acted without waiting for his tamer's order. Flames erupted from his leg, exactly where Foxtrot had sunken its fangs. The flames shone brightly as Blaziken decided to flip in the air and try to slam his leg and the wolf upon the ground. If Foxtrot was too stubborn, he would most likely taste the full might of Blaze Kick.[break][break]

"Let's raise the stakes a bit. Spirit of my ancestors, grant your boon to your warriors." As he said those words, two totems emerged from the ground, near the throne, reprenseting the 2 animals on the field: Alligator and Rooster. The totems began to emit a special wave, allowing the two pokemons to gain an increased attack power and to be faster on their feeth.[break][break]

"Don't just stand there Jaws! Show how chilling your fans can be!" With the increased speed and attack, Feraligatr lunged forward, going after Bravo. Ice surrounded its fangs and a chilling mist escaped from its mouth. The water pokemon kept jumping forward, trying to get a bite of the other Mightyena.

Summoning a Dragonite and taking flight to reach the top? A good idea in a regular context. But in this one? Not so much. The dragon was indeed an unstoppable force, able to beat some strong pokemons. But against a small dragonfly that gains speed every minute? Maybe it was a bad match. The Yanma swooped in, circling around the trainer upon the Dragonite's back, unleashing Bug Buzz at the pokemon. Seeing a moment of weakness, the insect unleashed a Sonicboom at one of the challenger's pokeball to try and knock it off or render it unusable.[break][break]

After its duty done, the bug-type flew away, heading back to its trainer. As the challenger reached the top of the tower, the Dragonite enter through an open hole in the walls. As they enter, they could see a mouse, surfing on the air as if it was riding an imaginary wave. Electricity sparkled around its cheeks until it stopped and saw the challenger.[break][break]

Upon placing his eyes onto Mateo, the Alolan Raichu seemed almost calm... before unleashing an incredible amount of electricity from its body. Lightning shot out of its cheeks, striking the insides of the room at various locations. The mouse roared, getting ready to battle. Upon hearing the roar, another pokemon emitted its cry to resonate, ready to swoop in and assist the totem pokemon.
