Turning back to look at him, she witnessed him gently touching the Baltoy. Surprisingly, the Baltoy was remarkably comfortable with being touched. It simply seemed to bounce as if it was excited, attempting to press up against his hand. "All that I do know, is that little guy likes you. Honestly, I haven't seen it this calm since I caught it."[break][break]

Humming softly in thought, Ruby paused to think for a few seconds before she began to dig into her purse. Pulling out Tipsy's Pokeball, she continued. "You know? I consider myself a decent judge of character, and he kind of looks happier with you... I think. Here." She gently tossed him the Pokeball, nodding to herself. [break][break]

"Treat him well, huh? Baltoys can be a handful, but they're genuine little guys."

The idea of just, hanging around and trying to find the murderer in a room of unfamiliar people at first had her a bit on edge. However, with the sight of people she absolutely recognized, including Hideo Kino, Eris Halla, and even John Sullivan, she couldn't help but let out a soft breath and relax. Sure, they might be the secret killer, but at least it wouldn't be as awkward anymore with people she considered friends around.[break][break]

"Hey Eris," She'd eagerly give the young girl a hug back, as gentle as ever. "I haven't, actually. But it does sound fun. How you been holding up, dear?" Even as she spoke, she'd quickly give Doug the fistbump back he offered.[break][break]

Sure enough, Ruby's attention would be stolen by the champion himself here playing, kyle lopez. She supposed even people in the highest branches of the League had time to kill having fun too, but it was honestly a bit surprising how often she brushed shoulders with them. [break][break]

"Ruby. A pleasure to see you all again. And uh, to meet all of you who I haven't yet." Sure enough, her Oranguru stood posed at her side, his fan slowly brushing in front of his face as he watched and waited, ever so cautious of his surroundings in this silly game.

Regardless, Ruby simply continued to smile calmly and listen to the sales pitch. She was honestly doing a pretty good job, despite her occasional grimaces and shy speaking. Was she knew to this?

At the mention of it not being bitter, Ruby tilted her head in surprise. Natural medicine typically was bitter, how in the world did they manage that? Regardless, Ruby was certainly intrigued. "Ooh... You know, I think I'm going to be taking a look at, pretty much all of that."

With a quiet chuckle, Ruby handed her purse down to Darling. The Indeedee readily held it in their arms, admittedly quite curious about what had their Trainer so intrigued. "I do a lot of healing, and I will admit, more herbal remedies have intrigued me for quite a while. How do you manage to make them not bitter? Isn't that typically normal for homemade medicine?"

Yui Silph, huh? Lots of Silphs in Hoenn it seemed, were they all related? Or was it just a common last name? At this point, she had no idea. "Oh, uh, no ma'am. I'm not entirely sure what major I want to focus on just yet, but I do know I think I'd enjoy a minor in psychology. All that stuff is really interesting! You know? I've specialized in psychic-type Pokemon since I was very little, and yet we still know very little about how psychic stuff works! Researching that sort of stuff in the future would be really cool for a career, but honestly, I'm not sure what kind of major would get me there."

After all, the unique pokemon was quite rare in and of itself. Which was exactly why she was bringing as many of her own with her, hoping that it would attract more. [break][break]

Was this not standard practice, then? Why was she singled out for a special tour? She had a feeling why, but there was no reason to dwell on it too much. [break][break]

As the young woman spoke, Ruby's confused expression slowly turned into a soft smile as she spoke. "Well, you have no need to lead me back to a group ma'am. Because I suppose, I'm the one looking for you." She'd quietly chuckle, adjusting her backpack a bit as she spoke. [break][break]

"That would be me. Ruby Walker, a pleasure to meet you." She'd reach out a hand in an attempt to shake theirs. "I was told I would be given a private tour. Not that there's anything wrong with a public one! I just, well when I emailed the university this is what they had in mind. May I ask your name, ma'am?"

Almost reminded her of fair games, where people would get into conversations with you in order to trick you into playing their definitely not rigged games. Except this was much more wholesome and definitely not sketchy. People made an actual living selling stuff they made here. [break][break]

However, it was the mention of incense that caused Ruby to actually stop and give a look. She hadn't actually had any incense in quite a long time. Now that she thought about it, getting some would be quite nice for the apartment. After thinking about it for a moment, she finally approached the stand. [break][break]

"I'm certainly interested! Incense is always lovely, but what kind of medicine do you guys sell? I could always use something for my emergency kits." Her eyes would slowly glance over the stand, curiosity quite visible on her face.

"Oh, uh, sorry! Yeah, I'm fine." She'd finally brush off the skirt she had been wearing. Why in the world did she bother to actually try and look nice for this? It was a school tour, not a job interview. Feeling flustered, she eventually continued. "Excuse me, ma'am, I'm actually trying to find the uh... well, I don't know what they are called. I'm here for a tour, I guess?"
